Just a matter of jealousy from Kelly Clarkson, hearing a singer in real time who could hit notes that she never could hit. Props to John legend for knowing real vocal talent when he hears it.
He already has his own band before ever being on the show. I genuinely believe the producers made sure he didn’t go further because a lot of the hype is finding new artists. Imagine Kelly picking some stupid songs as his coach too
Well.they pushing other types of music, it's unfortunately because by far this guy was one of the best voices of rock, the voice needs to hire a real rock star who knows how to sing
hurt? thats being kind. i would need to be castrated moments before i sang. when i was younger i could hit some high notes.. but i've always had a very deep voice, matter of fact when i sing, whales respond on the other side of the globe. dude has pipes and presence

Yep... I saw this guy on the Voice... and after hearing him sing... It was like Wow! A real Rocker and a an amazing voice and great talent.... Yes Todd Michael Hall is the real deal..... There is something special about him a rare light shining in his musical gift.... His rendition is stunning.... and brings a beautiful energy to the song.....

One of the most amazing, no, the most amazing version of Juke Box Hero ever! Hands down....I still have it on my DVR from that season & continue to watch the faces on the Coaches. I felt Joe Jonas was scared to take this incredible voice on! Loved it, still do! And I enjoyed Todd, awhile before The Voice!

I have to say Todd.. just like I did in the original post...! This and all your performances were outstanding, clearly a season winning contender, probably THE WINNER..! When they eliminated you over that other contestant...I STOPPED WATCHING THAT SHOW FOR GOOD..!! That put a real dirty taste in my mouth and I now have no respect for that show or the judges because they clearly don't pick on vocal performances and that is a shame because the title of the show is THE VOICE. They couldn't handle metal vocal prowess like that. RIOT is killer. If you guys play anywhere near Upstate NY I will be there. Rock on man.
Thank you. I appreciate your compliments on my singing. I think there were a lot of great singers on the show. The show just tends to lean pop and I knew that was the case. I had a wonderful experience and I don't think winning would have made things turn out much differently, so all is good.

I guess from watching the show for so many years and seeing the same thing happen to others just rubbed me the wrong way lol. You are just so freaking amazing... Makes me think at times that you are Dio´s son or some sort of it. Some of my first reactions after seeing this, was thinking "I want to listen to his band, because FOR SURE he is in a metal band, and it has to be awesome", and found out an amazing artist with an incredible work with so much to delight with...
I love that one too. I have tried to upload it on my personal account, but I get a copyright violation notice from RU-vid. Universal studios owns The Voice footage, so they are the ones preventing it from being uploaded.

Have been wondering for a while now where the performance with him and Joei Fulco singing 'Simply the Best' by Tina Turner went. With everyone now trying to honor her with their own covers, this would have been nice to share. Was absolutely amazing! Why is it completely scrubbed from RU-vid?
All of The Voice performances were taken down on the two-year anniversary. I was able to reload my blind audition, but when I tried to reload the battle round performance I received a copyright infringement notice because it's too long. The blind audition is short enough that it doesn't get tagged for infringement. Perhaps I could do it if I added some commentary but I haven't had the time to play with it. They reloaded it in Europe, but it's not visible here in the United States.
@@ToddMichaelHallMusician Thank you for the explanation. I had noticed quite some time ago because I had wanted to add it to our store Playlist. We do play Tina's version but I like to mix it up with good covers as well. I Can appeal to the wide variety of customers that way. I've snuck pretty hard stuff through with a different cover. Our performance clip is about 2 and 1/2 minutes long, which is apparently too long to post and not violate NBC universal copyright claims. I tried to load it, but it would not allow it to be visible in the United States territories. ☹️
It would have been nice. 😁 Actually, if I had made it to the live rounds, there was talk of me doing an Iron Maiden song. That would have been very unique for The Voice.
My best friend, Pete Rossi was in the band Reverence with him along with Dr. Killdrums formerly of Savatage. Todd was smart enough to leave the band and my friend Pete Rossi died from fentanyl around the same time. You should check their videos on RU-vid. They got another band called Reverence all easy, listening music it’s not that band I would start off with the song too late and that’ll bring you into the other videos.
Foreigner classic anthem i’da turned that chair soon as the first note hit. You don’t pick a song you can’t do and Jukebox Hero is about as high as it can get.
Damn dude, why you didn't win is beyond me, but then again the metal community is different from fans of the TV show the voice I'm certain. It's like someone like Jennifer Hudson (although a great singer) fronting a metal band. It just wouldn't work.
Dear Mr Hall, I firmly believe that you should have won the competition! That is not to say that Ms Joei Fulco wasn't great, it is just that I think that you were fantastic! Please do not be upset if I say this though - your song choice of 'Somebody to Love" in the 4-way knock-out stage was not as good as your previous songs. It did not highlight to me your killer slow rock vocals, sir. God bless!
They gave Todd cheese dick songs to sing after the second and third round. They just did not want a metal singer to win the voice. It’s obvious just like when Mariah Formica sang on the voice they did the same thing to her.
