Oh I'm so sad to hear about Billi 😿 And my heart goes out to you in your ongoing mourning that will last until you meet your dear kitty across the Rainbow Bridge. If it's any comfort to you, I listened to descriptions of Near Death Experiences, where someone's heart stops but then they're revived. More than one described meeting or seeing pets. One woman saw a lot of pets just kind of hanging around, and she was told or somehow knew that they were waiting for their humans. Another woman had been in a coma for quite some time. During the coma, her heart stopped, but she was revived. When she finally came out of the coma sometime later, she told her family that she dreamed their grandma greeted her, and was with her beloved old cat. That was how she knew it was a dream, because her cat was still alive. Except she didn't know that the cat had died while she was in the coma, before she went into cardiac arrest. So she was blessed with the sure knowledge that her kitty is waiting for her, and she even got to be with her for a time. That must have eased her sorrow. Could you imagine waking from a coma only to learn that your kitty had died and you couldn't be there to say goodbye? This woman was spared that sorrow and she knows where her kitty's spirit is, which is enjoying her grandma's company. May you be comforted with the hope that your kitty is enjoying the company of your loved ones until the day you join her in eternity.❤

Agreed. He will tell me things like that just to let me know. I have never figured out if it is a "Hey, just so you know, I'm going to sleep" or more of a "I'm going to sleep now, don't bother me"

I've seen Billi do this several times too. Heading to a button or about to press a button, but then changes her mind about what she wants to say, based on what somebody else in the room or on the phone said. I see it as further evidence that it's a real conversation, not just random presses.

@@TheChroniclesofToddToddTalks What button was he about to press when he changed his mind? Morning, maybe? "Hello morning", but then he didn't need to finish since you answered already? With Billi, I was thinking of times she actually stopped and then said something different, like when somebody changed the subject or asked a new question. That's why I said it was like a real conversation.

​@@TieDyeVikkiI just got the notification about Billi. So sad 😢 We need a map of the buttons so we can tell what button he's about to press when he hovers or when it doesn't activate. Kendra had a compilation video called "Does Billi Use All Her Buttons?" that had an overview with labels at the beginning and as the thumbnail. I used to use that as a cheat sheet to tell what button she was about to press when she went towards one but changed her mind.

@@TheChroniclesofToddToddTalks If I remember right, here in between, was one instance, when he - instead of the normal two front paw stretch from the "talking table", did it only with one side, and skipped the other paw..... Maybe there is some kind of slight issue there somewhere.... The good thing is, that it does not seem to bother him too much at the moment. - WELL, I went back in time, and it was actually right after the first time he told there was a problem with his back. No worries. - He is not a young boy any more, so..... ❤

Hmmm. Sounds like the situation in Russell's house, ​@TheChroniclesofToddToddTalks . The other cats there know what the buttons _mean_ (as shown by how startled they are when one malfunctions), but they leave the pressing to him.

My wife bought that for me, I had a cat that looked just like that. lol
