People can talk all the shit they want about Tom DeLonge quitting on blink-182 but without him the band will never be the same as it's recently been proven he's an irreplaceable member.

Mark said it best... think back to those friends from the end of high school and the beginning of college, how close are you with them? It sucks that Tom is out, but people grow apart. You can't force him to stay if it's just not what he wants to do.

Tom accepted he grow up while Blink still make teen-pop-punk , he impress me , his words and music is strong , very creative.

Ah, man.. I love the tune. Imagine what would've happened if Mark and Travis got to work on it, too. Dang.. It's a really cool video and concept, however it saddens me to see this video in the current situation.

Fun fact: When this came out, DeLonge said that New World was prototypical of the direction he wanted to go with blink after Neighboorhoods. And while I do understand why he was kicked out (let's be real, he never was into the reunion stuff and how they recorded neighborhoods proved that), I also have to say that I prefer this sound any day over whatever the fuck John Feldman is responsible for with blink ever since.

Its Tom showing the world that he doesnt need to be shadowed by the images of a bass player (mark) and a drummer (travis) this video shows that Tom is his own person and showing that he can still make awesome music on his own So he uses his guitar to shatter the blink-182 image and hes walking with his guitar to show that through all the bullshit thats been going on he will still use his guitar to make music in this new world no matter where it is.

This song here just shows how much of Blink was actually Tom. And as soon as he's gone Blink don't sound like themselves at all anymore. /\\//\ already showed that, but it seems to me that most people didn't realize that and instead complained that it just sounds like Blink and why he doesn't create smth totally new and different. But thing is that Blink was Tom, and so was /\\//\, and so is this. I'm proud of him. The fact that he keeps on going and creates whatever vision he has, instead of sticking to the safe bet and singing about teenage stuff forever because it sells well. It was just a matter of time that he went solo to be able to follow his vision without compromises.

Wow Tom's really great. He should collaborate with blink-182

Interesting video. I didn't put attention to it when it released. Tom breaking musical equipment, especially the drum set and the bass. Not only Tom expresses his feelings of his departure but also releases that anger by destroying the drum set and bass, a very clear message for Travis and Mark. Finally, him destroying the musical equipment to me represents him turning his back on the past and musical career, to prioritize his alien related projects. He is adventuring into this New World

This is why Tom DeLonge is not a part of Blink-182 anymore. Just heard this for the first time yesterday. When Blink split in early 2000s, I strongly preferred Box Car Racer and AVA over +44. And Tom's solo project so far seems more dominant than Blink's new album. As lead singles, this song is way better than Bored To Death. I'm interested to see how the rest of Blink's album sounds.

I love Tom's vocal range he can sing lower for new world or higher in tone in golden showers in the golden state, or anomaly off dream walker. It's crazy ya know! :)
