Tom always finds a way to make you not only listen to a song but feel it as well. None of that mainstream rap music that has no true substance and meaning. He is a 100% independent artist. It is just him, his girlfriend Nova, family, and fans. I am so glad you were able to stumble across Tom's music. Hello Peace Dora, I'm not a rap fan either (or only of very few rappers...), but I love Tom, he's a real artist! I'll be here for any other Tom MacDonald reaction (already a sub for your Angelina Jordan reactions...) for sure! But I'll leave suggesting other songs of his to others, in my opinion he ain't got no bad ones, they are always deep lyrically, and I actually like his style (and the visuals, all of his videos are done by his girl Nova, she's amazing as well, has her own songs too and some together with Tom...). Together they are completely independent (not signed to any record label). that's why they can speak the truth. They don't get airplay on radio or TV (which are owned by the system), but they got a huge and devoted fanbase from all over the world who support them, some of them will soon be here and suggest more songs... So, instead, as I'm not a rap fan, I'll suggest one of the very very few (there's a third one, but we'll get to him later...) rap artists I really adore. This is Little Simz (Simbi), full name Simbiatu Abisola Abiola Ajikawo, born 23.02.1994 in London, Nigerian ancestry. She's incredibly good, her cadence and flow are immaculate, and her lyrics even deeper than Tom's, maybe because she's a woman... I would really love to see your reaction to her, and hopefully not only one, maybe you'll get as hooked on your sister as I am and continue to review her great songs. Your second one might be "Woman" or "Point And Kill" (gorgeous video shot in Nigeria...), but we'll see to that after your first reaction to her, for a start I would love to suggest "Introvert", which is the title track from her new album "Sometimes I Might Be Introvert" (which is a genius title as the Initials of the Words in the title make up her name S.I.M.B.I...). For me this is one of the best rap albums ever recorded, if not the best... because she can rap like no other, but she has soul. Amazing reaction Dora! I had to sub. I'm a Tom Macdonald fan and know his songs and lyrics but you had me starting to tear up when you were getting upset. Tom's lyrics open people's eyes. One of the most special things about Tom is the lack of cussing in his songs. Our children can listen without us fearing anything more than an occasional rare (very rare) f bomb. He doesn't epitomize or promote drugs, alcohol, objectifying women, etc. This is so refreshing in this day and age and makes his lyrical messages sharable with all ages. My granny, rip, would have loved this!!
