I remember as a little kid, watching him warm up opening day 79 for the Reds. We were by the Reds dugout. Bullpen was next to it. It was a treat because he faced Vida Blue of the Giants.

I was a kid in eastern Canada in the early '70's. The Expos were on TV each week, but they were still losers. Even pre cable, we got to see the game of the week on Saturday, plus the World Series ( but not the playoffs ). Tom Seaver was my first baseball hero, probably my second favorite athlete ( to Bobby Orr ). Rest in peace, Tom Terrific.

I remember in 7th grade writing my first research paper, it was about Tom Seaver, and I remember just being floored by the accomplishments he had with the mets.

I was in the 6th grade on the West Coast, and The Mets weren't my favorite team,but there was something so romantic about the Miracle Mets, Watching The World Series, this Cinderella Team that had captured the nation... and Tom Seaver.

I was a kid that was a Cub fan and that '69 team didn't break my heart but it certainly did for some of the older folks. I'm just glad I got to see Seaver pitch in person along with the likes of Gibson and Jenkins and Marichal. Those were fun days to be an 8 or 9 year old.

Growing up in the 70'S in New York..I was a Yankees fan..but had much respect for Mets Pitcher Tom Seaver.

I was a Mets fan from day one. Casey Stengel was my favorite in the first few years. Can't anybody there play this game? Tom Seaver was the best of the best.

I still have my 1968 Topps Tom Seaver card. It's the only one I kept. Wish I'd kept that Nolan Ryan rookie card - I still kick myself for giving it away. Anyway, I saw Seaver pitch on two occasions.

Shady that they are giving seaver credit for koosman game 5....seaver is my favorite player....and the best pitcher of all time but its not right to edit the video that way

I am 68 year old. I saw Tom. I was very upset when the Mets traded him. So I became a Yankee fan. But what hat a pitcher. The Mets are a bad organization. They traded Nolan Ryan, Gooden , Singleton, Otis, Williams, Cone. They will never have a pitcher like Seaver. R.I.P
