I love the guy furious because HIS pension age increased a fraction, but when you Mention that it's likely to be far far worse for people of our generation he immediately says " stop being so selfish" 😂

How do these people dial in without assistance? The overt racism and ignorance is absolutely mind blowing. “Look after our own”, I wonder how much “looking after our own” these people do? I wonder if they volunteer for a homeless charity or similar? Because I’ve done my bit.

@@matthewprince9705 the buttons they pushed for the public were marked “immigration” and “Sovereignty” but if you peeled of the sticky labels were really marked “disaster capitalism” and “removal of human rights”. I feel now that Brexit was not an end it’s in own right merely an intermediate step in pulling us from the council of rights (the ECHR).

Look after our own? If that isn't happening, who's to blame? The tories with their absolute majority choose who to look after It isn't binary It is possible for this first world country, with a bottomless pit of public money for their donors, to "look after our own", but they choose not to. If "looking after our own" is so important to you, you know who NOT to vote for.

So much of the 'Great British' public are utter headbangers! I do think people get the politics they deserve. Oh, and the tired line of "looking after our own" drives me mad, as these are the same people that vote for the Draconian Tory policies that DON'T help people. These are what I call the 'I'm all right Jack brigade' and go on about "my money is paying for that, ra ra ra". The concept of living in a functioning society is something they can't comprehend.

I recommend that you watch Iain Dale's interview 4 months ago with the Israeli Ambassador, Tzipi Hotovely. It has not "Aged Well". Her comfortable fluency with lies and misinformation is astonishing. In the light of what we know now as facts, Iain Dale is of course his usual obsequious stomach turning self, with a total lack of journalistic integrity.

@RobinHarris-nf4yv Tom has zero understanding of basic lifestyle "facts". Repeatedly hr aaks. Why do people feel the need to own their own home. He calls it an obsession. But the answer is simplicity itself. Freedom. In two main ways. 1. To do with it as THEY wish. 2. So that in later life they might be able to retire more comfortably, having paid off their mortgage. What shocks me is that he is so dim, that these factors elude him. I imagine he believes that he will be do wealthy by the time he is say, 65 that he will be immune to these factors. But if he was in fact in touch. He would know that thr majority of us, are not.

@@davidsmith5523 I think it depends on the culture, in the U.K. houses are an investment + and land is scarce so prices are high. The U.K. has an obsession with house ownership because UK is a country where houses are investments and ownership is the only way to protect one’s security. It was less of an obsession when there were plentiful council houses and people had security of tenure with being subject to the vagaries of the market or private landlords It’s less true in other countries like France and Germany.
