I have heard better organ versions but the soprano sax was unbeliveably brilliant and complemented the piece perfectly. And as for being composed by a genius around 1700 ad..makes me think what the hell have i done with my life lol
I think the info is correct. It's a straight soprano sax, not an oboe. The output diameter is bigger and the sound louder than that of an oboe. But it doesn't have the haunting melancholic beauty.
I first heard this piece on late night radio many years ago, done by a rock group? Spectacular and moving guitar solo. Can anyone please help me identify who it might have been? Thanks.
I believe the group was renaissance who first formed in 1969 and lasted off and on until 1978.I can't remember which album it was on although i have got it on vinyl and the lead singer by then was Annie Haslam who was a trained opera singer and at the time had a range of 5 octaves.I believe the song is called so cold is being lonely but always thought it was an original tune until now.
Wirklich sehr schade das der Organist zum Schluss die falsche Tonlage wählt und den falschen Klang. Er scheint nicht der zu sein der Musik, Lieder im Herzen hat. Wirklich sehr schade das er dieses so "vergeigt" hat.
Why Albinoni (1671-1751)? Where is baroque in this music? This is purely late-romantic piece written by Remo Giazotto in XX century, based on melody that may be found in the 1st part of Horn Concerto in E flat major K.495 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Great music, but not Albinoni.
I could do without the sax. Why is every video of this piece played differently? Seems there are as many different versions of it as there are videos!!
Это произведение само по себе умопомрачительное.... Конечно же я не права, но мне кажется. что сопрано-саксофон разбавляет грандиозные ноты органа. ослабляет впечатление от произведения, его трагизм... Я не оспариваю это выступление, это просто мнение делетанта.
