I am truly looking forward to it. I rate Tommy as one of my favourite bass players, right up there, with Larry Graham, George Porter Jr., and James Jamerson. I really enjoyed the tribute video for Deon Estus. It was a warm and wonderful insight to the man and musician….and I learned that there is a James Ingram Way, too!

A Brighter Tomorrow was the perfect song to end the video. I’ll take advantage of the moment and say that the Reach For Tomorrow album is a masterpiece and a true musician’s album that, in my opinion, is second to none.As much as I would like to go on about it, I’ll wait for another time because this moment is about the incredible Tommy DeBarge whose contribution was as invaluable as every other member of Switch in making music that, I believe, will prove to stand the test of time.

This is a beautiful tribute to a wonderful musician and best bass player. Gone but will NEVER be forgotten. We miss you Tommy, R.I.P my brother ❤

Thank you for the great "Tommy DeBarge...Musical Remembrance" and especially for the many great SWITCH albums (I own them all.) with the most "inspiring" songs that got me through my rough & dire high school teenage years and all throughout life (including now). I Am now, a youthful & vibrant 62 yrs young! I finished recording a SWITCH tribute song a few months ago, called "S.W.I.T.C.H. to this Song ([S]ongs [W]ith [I]nspirational [T]hemes [C]ontinually [H]eal...)" My two eldest Brother's names are Bobby (Robert) the Soul Singer :RIP and Thomas (Tommy): RIP I wish you and yours, MUCH continued success in all of your endeavors and especially MOST ABUNDANT BLESSINGS!!!

Let me tell somthing Akilli was riding that 2 verse doing lead and Freakin that background in at the same in with his own twist to it. Hey Bobby probably was smiling on that one and Tommy is about as close as your gonna to bobby when he got to sanging #1 timeless song ever by some timeless musicians not a group people... Musicians. Been loving yall for life since day one.

Tommy's bass playing on "You Wear It Well" is one of my all-time favorite basslines!!!!! He was AWESOME on that song!!! What a gifted family!!! RIP Tommy. Deon Estus was a monster bassist!!!! His solo on the extended version of "I'm You Man" still blows me away!!!!! RIP Deon.

Tommy was a first rate bassist and a great singer!! I was on my way to Michigan last October, when a friend told me that he passed away a day or so earlier. It felt like all of the air was sucked out of my car!! He was/is one of the bass players that I hope to some day reach that level of excellence on my bass!! Rest well, my brother.
