Decided to watch arguably my favorite cheesey 90's Rom/Com... "Blast From The Past" and this song still holds up for what was a solid soundtrack for the movie.
I love Blast From the Past - this song was so perfect. Great script, great comedy! Uniformly hilarious performances. I think Alicia S. is a superb underrated actress. Lots of pathos and intensity and also super comedy timing. When Brendan F. sees the Pacific and this song played it was immediately burned into my brain. Along with a million funny quotes and vignettes from the movie.
I bought this song from Amazon Music, I think...but I did so because of the Blast From the Past Scene. Love this song. Love that movie. Love the memories of that time in life.
Just rewatched it and they were both so absolutely gorgeous like wow 😭❤️ I had the biggest crush on Alicia Silverstone when I was a kid cause of that movie. Truly one of my favorite movies
I pulled my car over on the highway and turned this up as far as my crappy speakers would go first time I heard this. My wonderful boyfriend "RIP" whispered to me. " I see your son in your eyes ". Why do the best ones die so soon?
Ms. Jackson, so sorry for the loss. I get that way too about my dad, when I listen to the lyrics of In the living years. "I think I caught his spirit Later that same year I'm sure I heard his echo In my baby's new born tears" Messes me up. May your boyfriend RIP. God bless.
This song along with American Pie's "Following a Star" and There's Something About Mary's "The Way". F*ck, I'm a grown man in his 30s and I'm sobbing right now. Those times were the happiest of my life. Sadly, I can never go back...
I've never seen this video before, and it's shockingly silly. Nothing like I remember seeing when I saw these guys live in VA Beach. Their sound was powerful and addicting. The show was very fun to watch, and I still love the CD I picked up. What a trip down memory lane this was!
i love Tommy SOOOOOOO much!!! I went and saw him play with alice cooper. He threw me one pick and handed me the second pick, then when I was taking a picture of him, he dropped his towel on my camera. I cried. I would kill to meet him.
You would literally kill simply because of your own selfish desire to possibly satisfy & fulfill all the lust you have when meeting Tommy?!? And I say possibly only because Tom doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who would want to meet someone who killed just to be able to meet him.
Let’s give it up for the brother on the drums! It is rare to see in the millennium behind a person of color banging drums in a rock band which I love as a black person who loves rock music! Btw: I love blast from the past Brandon Fraser is such a hottie!
Veeeeery Peter Gabriel, and I love it! Tommy, I had already taken a ride on the 405 in your all white bronco, burning the holiest of the bush, when m we (Crippled Nation) had a development deal through maverick with, yourself, Goldberg/Oseary andJeff Pilson. Halfway through production, I realized that this was that earworm of a song from a few years before. You taught harmony, layering and voicings that I carried with me. Thank you for your pure love of music.
Wow up until now I have never known the cool dude that was rejected by Ozzy Ozborn as a guitarist because he wanted a blond guitarist and then taken in by Alice Cooper because Alice loves talent and is not too picky about looks was the same guy that did this Awesome song In Blast from the past. Love you Tommy!
Tommy H. My Brother! What's new? Frankie aka Billy bear here! your Light man from The Ole' days At the Starship! This is a 360 from the ole days, But I like It!
Anyone have contact info for him? I used to have it a long time ago. He was such a sweetheart and we missed hanging out when I was still living in Houston. He certainly is a hottie! I love this song. Also loved Blast from the Past
