I met Tommy Tune once after a show in San Diego. He read the note I gave him from the stage and spoke to me in front of the house. Afterward, crying and holding his hands was all I could do. Babbling my Love for him, he smiled and caressed my hands for 5 solid minutes and I went home and woke my Daughter to smell the cologne scent of Tommy Tune on my hands.
I have always loved Tommy Tune as a great entertainer thru out the years but when I saw him in a few interviews , what a great spirit and such humble loving ways. Thank you, Tommy for all the joy. Mary Dishion
The moment when he descried the relationship between directing and performing, calling it an ethereal difference, I knew this guy was IT. He had IT, he will never part ways with IT, and he knows IT.
One of my dad's favorite movies [ And by the way Tommy's about a month younger than my dad would've been. ] was "The Boyfriend[1970]." This man is handsome and charming at any age.
He reminds me of Carol Channing. That same kind of warmth and energy. I am a diehard Carol Channing fan, and I always have been since I was a little tiny kid. But I’m really starting to enjoy him more and more.
@chevydude658 Of course that makes complete sense because she was one of his mentors, they performed and toured together and they were BFF: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-M2IF-B_PiU0.htmlsi=hfd-UA2R3GCSWXrk ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jatWr6RuSNU.htmlsi=RmeTVL5MjzY91CIC
Hi Tommy, you're a many dimensioned person yourself! I've just learned your name in Alexene Mesinger's auction. It was yesterday. Already today I'm reading your book, Footnotes. I'm captured by your beautiful personality in multiple ways so far. I'm on my way to learn more about you. Please, know, for at least, one person you've became a today's discovery. Have a good day!
BRAVO ! Excellent interview. Tommy Tune was so correct about nuance in the theater. I recently saw Priscilla and it was so over miked that I thought everyone was lipsynching....not that I would expect Pricilla to be a show with nuance but too many shows today are more like Las Vegas reviews than Broadway musicals .
Love Mr Tune inside and out but hate the way those glasses make him look! The frames make him look like Dr Jack Startz' brother, the role Rob Lowe played in the Behind the Candelabra flick. Mr Tune is simply not that man. He has other frames that are much more Tommy!❤🎩
