I just did mine and it took 2 hours. The hardest part was putting the back piece on and making sure no wires came loose, overall it was worth it

when i tried to remap it would just glow red and when i pressed s button and a paddle it would not start blinking so i couldnt remap the buttons. any fix?

hello I have a question, so since this is for the dual sense five 2nd and first, i want to know if the backpaddles will work if i try to remap them through the ps5 manually with the paddles or do i have to have a PC for this to work because i only have a console aka the ps5 and I don't know if there's like a set button where i can jus hold it on the back and then it will allow me to bind it through there or i need some sort of software ? pls answer me back I'm willing to order today

You don’t need a pc, there’s a S and T button, S means set so you can control the bindings all on the controller

Better than extreme rate I’ve done two extreme rate mods on my controller and they broke on me after few days of use I think Tomsin have better build quality recommend 👍🏾

They are good. Haven’t been able to make them More quiet, you can lose them a little but they won’t be as responsive

how do you turn off turbo mode, my bottom left paddle has been stuttering when I use it to build in Fortnite I haven’t tried out the top left and top right paddle yet but the bottom right paddle has been smooth when I use it as my edit button I just need to figure out how to stop the bottom left paddle from stuttering

you have to open it again. When you took out the mother board and placed that ribbon cable into those two holes. Its not making a strong connection, you have to check to make sure its aligned properly. You can do this by putting in the battery and connecting the back paddle motherboard to the strip and pushing the buttons on it to test it before closing everything. 5:56 in the video is what I'm talking about

Everything is the same but the Thomson button assembly on the back is way easier to put together and not fall apart. I like my extreme rate kit but I’m used to an elite 2 back paddles and wish I went this route originally. Extreme rate has a nice rubberized back plate that I’m wonder if this would work for lol

Great video. I've installed one on an 020, but im getting no power tobthe mother board. I checked and the battery strip is firmly in. But, i didn't install the R & L replacement trigger cables. Do i need to install these tobget the power working? Thanks

Probably, my guess is that's where it gets power from since they have rumble motors. Otherwise you can solder jumper wires to the VCC and GND pads from the potentiometer pins on the analog sticks.

I would recommend not to stick the connector board permanently. If you need to change the battery you might damage it, when try to remove it

it sounded sweet till you mentioned there’s a turbo mode i dont get why all these back button attachments always come with mods. the tomsin one looks better cause it has 4 paddles while extreme rate has 2 paddles and 2 buttons but the tomsin ruins it with that turbo mode cheese

Turbo mode is there, but you don’t have to use it or map the buttons using turbo, just do the regular way. It’s there for those who need it

BDM-030 is the 3rd gen controller with a different board layout. The whole inside of the controller is build different so this kit would not be compatible with it unfortunately. Almost all the controller you buy now are 3rd if you buy brand new. So if you want an older controller to install the kit you have to buy used on eBay
