Veronica might be a great lawyer but clearly out of her depth when it comes to economics. No business will ever accept higher taxes (housing fund + ridiculous new complicated administrative and other tax rules costs) and not pass them along to the consumers/hustlers. You also can't preach trickle-down economics of cutting taxes for helicopter owners and users and tell us that they'll pass any savings down to the very minute population of hustlers that repair helicopters.

I will mention one because thats what I know to detail. The Qatari Government gives its citizens (everyone) between 12K and 25K every month. They are also provided with food from supermarkets to a certain amount monthly. Veronicah should know more of such cmgovernments in the world but he is burrying his head in the sand.

They don't understand what the common mwananchi earning 10,15,20,25,30k is going through and the implications the finance bill is going to have on them. They are reasoning based on what they earn since if the deductions were made on their salaries they wouldn't feel any pinch. What they should ask themselves is, what's their propensity to save compared to that person earning 10,15k per month. From what they earn they can pay the taxes live a comfortable life and still save. What about the common mwananchi with peanuts as a salary? Watching this after Super Tuesday and the aftermath confirms that after last year's Bill all the discontent that built up in wananchi was bound to be released. Part of the frustrations arise from the lack of goodwill in communicating the contents of the Bill.
