He was 36 when he fought Gaethje so he was nearing the end of his career anyway, he got in there with a much younger, sharper striker and took an inhuman amount of damage. Most people would’ve been put to sleep by the shots he was eating but Tony kept coming forward. He was on a 12 fight win streak going into the Gaethje fight and since then he’s lost 3 times, anyone with half a brain can put two and two together.

That's not sad the sad thing is that he couldnt top the performance after this and the fact that he has the worst talent one can have, wasted talent. Was really hoping he'd show up for Olivera this fight actually made me a fan of his but has made it difficult since kids had potential for so long now that ITS kinda sad .

not a headbutt, in groundplay when u want to free yourself you get your head up on his body while you try to get up or switch positions for protection against punches
@@ryanrassi8943 Yes that's true, but in that sequence he was trying to headbutt his staph. He even said so in a post fight interview. He tried to punch it In another sequence lol. I would've done the same thing.

@@rkelly5393 im not saying he got totally dominated but Kevin would have still lost because Kevin gases even in his most recent fight he gassed out and olivera took advantage of that Kevin is very much like connor,and Walker because of how fast they use their energy and thats why tony would have won no matter what he doesn't back down unless he's rocked and even then he recovers and keeps pushing the past thats why tony is one of the best his conditioning and volume tires the opponent then he got that nice sub for the dub
@@rkelly5393 yeah i feel like hes to small for 170 and too big for 155 so the cut hurts his performance a 165 divisions would be very good for him if that happens i see him being top 3. But idk if dana is ever gunna do that he has said many times that hes not gunna make a 165 but maybe he will make it cuz he also said women in the ufc wasn't gunna happen but now its in so anything can happen
Even when his opponents hated him the most they always gave him props about being a great fighter, tony is the definition of a fighter and everyone in the ufc recognized it.

It's always guys in the same class, or near it. You hear it all the time from fighters, like Dominck Cruz and Conor McGregor, saying they had to say what they say to sell fights. This beef was no different, plus Kevin Lee is wannabe McGregor anyway lol
