@@principal4854 that's not being a mean guy, he just said some basic trash talk, with all do respect to the guy. These men are about to fight from 15 to 25 minutes and you respect them ro be all goody goody for the entire time? And besides, that's the only thing kattar even said, your acting like he's hitler. Get you head out of your ass
Doesn't matter what he says.. Talking all that shit with all that overconfidence and then losing every single round hitting fresh air most of the fight is very humbling.
@@isinox Plenty of other fighters have applied hooks or bodylocks late into a fight. Vettori just didn't have the proper fight IQ at that time to do either and secure his victory. EDIT: further proof after the Ion Cutelaba fight where he somehow transformed into a Dagestani and just smeshed a guy for 3 rounds: it is possible for MW and heavier to apply hooks and maintain control in late rounds where you can be all sweaty n' shit.
@@vn5774 It takes a lot of hard work to be on a level where u get noticed enough to be a meme. I myself would love to be a meme, it means im doing something right.
@@vn5774 Marvin is only 27, he has time. Its better to go through this at a younger age. He still shows up & is ready to go, never turns down a fight. Its mixed martial arts this shit is a major part of the game incase u didnt know.
I had him losing both pretty easily. 2-1 in the first fight and 4-1 or 5-0 in the second. I don’t think he’s necessarily a sore loser possibly just a deIusional competitive guy and genuinely believes he won or is trying to convince himself he won.
@@kylerp1425 Idk. Scoring seems odd, especially seen in light of recent decisions where so much was given to simple control time, even against the fence. That is the corruption of it. No way Marvin didn't win a round.
It was funny but the only thing that confused me was I didn’t really know that Adesanya was gay… I thought he was straight. I’m not even against gay people I just wasn’t aware of that.
@@donaldmcjizlletetz5499 I don't think he's ever admitted he was gay, and I agree, nothing wrong with it. The act may have been gay, but doesn't mean he is(if that is the case)
Ngl, vettori said "who did you beat" Well let's see, he starched Rob, starched Costa, outpointed Yoel, outpointed Silva... We can go on, but vettori is already dead.
I like that you don't just show clips of the humbled fighter getting hit and taken down, you show successes from both sides and accurately depict the story of the fight as a whole. Because this wasn't an absolute masterclass beatdown with a finish but Adesanya thoroughly proved he was the better more skilled fighter.
He did once but dont worry I think the music will stay the same in future it's so 🔥 edit: btw the song is GHOSTEMANE - VENUM it's in description but most people dont really look in there much
@@baileymcclain1094 Marv's a good fighter. He has decent hands and is well conditioned for 5 rounds. Although he can definitely improve his ground game, he showed that hes great at taking the fight to the ground. Like many others, he does have quite the personality, which sometimes leads fans to either hate or admire him. I find it a bit over the top, but that's why I find it more enjoyable than others. Speaking of the fight, I do recognize Adesanya's superiority, but I just don't think the scoring did justice to Marvin. I gave him round 1 and 3. How did you score the fight?
@@jacopodainotto4084 don't think I could give you an accurate score myself I'm not a big fan of either and I only watched the fight once when it happened. I will say watching the highlights in this video Marvin was doing some damage in the later rounds but I felt he should've stayed away from the take downs and his clinch work seemed to be lacking which is where I think you need to fight Izzy and his take down attempts certainly created the opportunity
@@corvofalcone7489 Really hope he doesn't, Costa is super fun to watch. It'd be a shame if he lost his passion for fighting simply because he got violated by Izzy.
He really made Vettori look stupid with the head movement and footwork lol. Had him punching air all night and then stalling the fight against cage in the end.
@@jacopodainotto4084 majority of Marvs misses were way off. He would literally go to throw a punch and have to stop it and stumble after being already 3 quarters of the way through it, because Izzy wouldn’t even be there anymore lol. Marvin wasn’t going down, give him that, but there were a lot of times you see him miss when he finally gets in close because it was bait the whole time. He’s not that sharp of a striker, while Izzy is known for countering and feeling out the opponent, so it’s not a horrible thing.
@@mattypark5725 the leg kicks clearly won him the fight. We can definitely agree about this. Marvin dodget punches/headkicks the same way Adesanya slipped Marvin's punches. Once again, comparable numbers on head/body strikes. The leg kicks did the trick
@@dxessyy1885 that’s is literally the worst argument people use. What does it matter how much money he has. Doesn’t mean shit when it comes to opinions. They have made less money than McGregor has, and most likely will never come close to out earning him. Does that mean they can’t have an opinion either? No it doesn’t.
When Izzy is slipping punches he is so fluid like the naked mole rat is in slow motion but when the that thing stands in front of izzy he's having a seizure
@@champ1159 Shiit, I thought he was training with Colby Covington at MMA Masters :/ before that he was having some sessions with Yoel Romero.... I dont get why he doesnt just stick with 1 gym & 1 team rather then bouncing around from gym to gym.... Imagine if Mike Perry relocated to San Jose & joined AKA he would be on a tear !
@@AkamapD defensively responsible??? The guy didn't check a single leg kick and had his hands down for the last half of the fight 😂😂 Stop smoking crack, it's terrible on critical thinking..
@@burgerkang3249 I don’t think I could possibly care less about individual fighters who use steroids (from a competitive standpoint, health issues are a different concern)
@@Konton0178 couldn't help but notice that. You feel bad because you can relate to theoretically being so close to winning it all but in reality he was never close so it's really cringe
Izzy's footwork and head movement are a fcuking joy to watch man. Put on a clinic. You know you mentally broke a dude when he's lost every round and still shoots for a takedown in last 10 seconds. All that talk for years and got 50-45'd
Goddamn I didn't even remember it was 50-45 on all cards. You can't stage an ass whooping like that. Makes Marvin all the more delusional. His corner thought he lost. Izzy thought he lost. The crowd thought he lost. The judges thought he should take his ass back to Italy.
It was hardly an ass whooping though. For a guy pushing himself as goat status and greatest strike izzy hasn't had too many fantastic performances lately. Ever since the dude pulled out the bad boy act he hasn't seemed as spectacular as he was on his climb to the top while being quite respectful
@@SamaelVR Whittaker was nearly 2 years ago and the Costa fight wasn't that exciting. Costa is going to go downhill in the division future gatekeeper in my opinion. The whittaker fight was awesome though as was the gastelum fight. Idk it seems Izzy became tentative with his striking relying almost exclusively on counter strikes and leg kicks. Doesn't add up to the "most exciting striker" ever as he claims himself. That being said he's going to own the MW division for quite some time
Still whenever I think of this fight, the main thing I think of is Marv wearing his fight shorts backwards. How did anyone not say anything to him? They did him dirty 😭
One of the funniest fights of the year for sure. "Clit on your forehead" and "how is that even a question" never fail to crack me up. Oh yeah and the ass slaps.
Idk. Scoring seems odd, especially seen in light of recent decisions where so much was given to simple control time, even against the fence. That is the corruption of it. No way Marvin didn't win a round.
@@frankhershiser2269 which round? he gassed in the 3rd if i can remember correctly he was literally shooting and resting this was such an easy win for izzy.
@@linuxafrica2584 you are not arguing against the unified rules. That's fine, but I am arguing against the unified rules. Given the scoring changes on control time and the recent decisions that reflect those changes, it does not make sense that Vettori lost all of the rounds. He was constantly moving forward. In fact, if his name was Jon Jones, he may have even won the fight.
@@frankhershiser2269 Bro I'm asking genuinely which round you think he won, Man was literally just getting tea off on the entire fight I cant remember a single round that looked like he won. I actually just remember even his coach Knew he lost every round and was brutally honest with him in the fight. And hell no Jon Jones got away with the reyes robbery because it was still back and fourth.
it's crazy how good Adelasagna's sprawls and Wrestling is for a Kickboxer and obviously I mean defensively, specially since Vettori is massive for a MW.
He'll rule that division for quite some time, provided no Chris Weidman 2.0 pops up. Not sure if Whittaker can get it done honestly, his kryptonite seems to be counter-strikers.
This was the most satisfying ass whoopin I've seen in a long time. The whole event was bonkers, this was a beating we all needed to see in order to cap it off.
I mean proverbial ass whoopin, I'm not talking about where he landed which shots. He dominated the fight, therefore Vettori got his ass whooped. If you wanna get literal and technical then maybe I should've said "ass grabbin"
@@mewxtwo I just feel like an ass whooping is the wrong way to describe a guy fighting a boring fight. Izzy reminds me of Anderson Silva sometimes he fights a fun entertaining fight and other times he's boring as hell
@@michaelhoffman8634 yeah I see what you mean. I suppose "dominate" would be better? It was a clean sweep on the judges scorecards thats the only reason I say he dominated. He by no means gave him the whooping he deserves but he out struck him no question.
