Hello and Welcome back to State of Mind, I’m Grace Kingswell and I’m a Nutritional Therapist, cold water swimmer, Auricular Acupuncturist and Breathwork coach. Yikes - quite a mouth full, and this is my podcast series all about health, nutrition, lifestyle medicine, sustainability and so much more. The last time I put an episode out it was the recording of the live panel discussion with Debbie Lewis and Richie Bostock at the end of November last year, so it feels like its been a while since I’ve spoken to you guys and I’m beyond excited to be back!
Tony Riddle, or @thenaturallifestylist as he goes by on Instagram, is a man on a mission to re-wild your feet and your lifestyle, and connect us humans back to our true essence, to empower us to take control of our environments and to get back into nature in a BIG way. At the tail end of last year he ran from Lands End to John O Groats barefoot, as you do, in a bid to raise awareness for environmental charities - and he certainly achieved that goal. It was also an exercise in showing us all just what the human body is capable of and, even more so, what the mind is capable of.
We talk a lot in this episode about the way in which Tony raises his children, the fact that he doesn’t send them to a conventional school, and we of course talk about his epic run, our mutual love for cold water and a few other insightful anecdotes along the way.
