Thats not how you run the wires at all your supposed use one of the brake away holes and clamp the wire if someone ever pulls on that wire they could cut the insulation on the sharp metal and short the hole thing
Hi. Thank you for your comments. I've been an electrician for over 20 years and have used these remodel cans with no issues. That is a factory knockout on the electrical housing. When you take that knock out off, it leaves smooth edges. I understand what you are talking about and there are some can lights out there that require plastic bushings in order to protect the wiring. This particular one was not one of those. The Halo cans have a small plastic seam which requires you to insert the wire in at least a half of an inch. This particular remodel can did not have that nor needed one.
I hav a question for you… I have recessed can lighting house built 2007)with those expensive pin lights I bought some led lights…thinking I could just switch them out… We’ll Complications!!! Could have a ballast??? Yes/no??? Just change to led bulbs??? Just buy t expensive bulbs and leave it be???
@@karenledesma7964 i would suggest to take one of the bulbs off and see if they're just regular the original recessed lights have the same plus as a regular light bulb if so all you have to do buy the LED lights that come with the adapter and swap them is pretty easy
