Just a video showing some of the tool I have for hard-to-reach fasteners (wrenches, sockets, ratchets, extensions). This is not really a video for mechanics, it's mostly for do-it-yourself-ers.
What is the name of a wrench that has an extended bolt gripping section that allows the wrench to work over lips -- as in when removing a transmission drain pan from a location that isn't accessible with a socket?
2:47 - I've had to work at hard to reach places which could only be used by something like that. Another guy cut the circle end of a usual wrench off and welded a square connector to one side of it to connect the extension bar. I'd like to think the resulting tool is stronger than what you have there, due to the use of the circle end of the wrench rather than the open end. (Not from an english speaking country, so yeah I'm probably not using correct technical terms.)
Had a bolt that I couldn't see, but could access it with a stubby socket wrench. I had enough swing, but couldn't get leverage. I tied a cord to the stubby wrench handle and with a good pull, the bolt broke loose.
They're terrible, may work for hand tight nuts and bolts but mostly they'll just ping right off. Though if you get one with a set keep it, you never know
Lol none of these would come close to the mightly Honda 250cc brake lever bolt... So tightly packed right next to the wall that NO wrench or human tool can remove it.
