Toonami Rewind: Adult Swim's Second Nostalgia Block 

it's funny that Adult Swim announces Toonami Rewind RIGHT as i was watching Cereal Milk VHS's channel on RU-vid, which has old Toonami airings that you can watch on RU-vid from his channel, but hey i get to watch Toonami at a reasonably earlier time rather then midnight for 1 hour before bed again

As someone who who wasn't born in the 90s I can see this as a great opportunity for people that haven't watched anime for the first time

Sailor Moon being back on CN (indirectly) is amazing imo. Also I think Pink Panther definitely could air on MeTV Toons as Saturday mornings MeTV airs some Pink Panther shorts

It's nice to see Sailor Moon on modern Toonami in a way. It'd be nice to see Yu Yu Hakusho on the block at some time as well.

It's really cool to see Sailor Moon on this block, and I personally loved the Viz dub so I'm glad to see that's the version that they went with :D

Toonami Rewind is a great idea but they should air on Saturdays starting at 5pm since they’re only airing Fox shows at the moment. Mon-Fri: Checkered Past Sat: Toonami Rewind Sun: ACME Night

Took long enough!! Toonami decides to air on a decent timeslot by doing this new Toonami Rewind! :) Though some people are not too impressed because they're airing DBZ Kai and not the original DBZ Dub.

I hope MeTv Toons shows classic holiday specials such as the Halloween Tree, The Thanksgiving that Almost Wasn’t and the Garfield specials in the future.

Plus courage , Ed’s are all currently on DVD complete sets , Along with fosters home , and soon ppg dexters lab and probably Billy and Mandy later on if they haven’t already written them off yet

Nice you are the only source i trust to keep me updated on metv toons. Hopefully they add the transformers. Kind of sucks how they will eventually take out cartoons only for them to return in who knows how long.

Fun fact Dexter’s Lab used to air on TBS a day before CN So it’s not the first time that CN show aired on broadcast tv

Hopefully this isn't a sign of Toonami disappearing from Saturday nights. It's bad enough the block has been getting shortened over the last few years, I'd hate to see it completely replaced with a 2-hour block on Fridays.

Cyborg 009, G Gundam, and Yu Yu hakusho would all be cool to see.

About the Rewind: I know they didn’t show any of the STAR BLAZERS series (both original and reboot), but if they can add that on the line-up…that would be great. (Course, I’m still waiting for UZUMAKI. Been jonsing for that show for a long time!) About MeToons TV add-on: Would be wild if the network did something similar like the original METV Saturday Night Block where they air SVENGOOLIE with his collection of cult classic movies and then go into a binge bloc of classic Sci-Fi & Horror shows straight into morning. Basically, do Sventoonie (Toonie’s alter ego from TOON IN WITH ME) hosting a selection of animated features with something of the same shtick you expect from the man himself and then proceed with a mix of Hanna Barbera’s action fare like SPACE GHOST, JONNY QUEST, etc. as well as Gerry Anderson’s Supermarionation series like THUNDERBIRDS, STINGRAY, SUPERCAR, etc. and classic Anime such as GIGANTOR, STAR BLAZERS and the like. Such a block would bring in a lot of fans young and old. (And if they include COURAGE THE COWARDLY DOG in that line-up for the Horror flavor the way KOLCHAK: THE NIGHT STALKER does for METV’s Saturday, so much the better.) As for the revelation that WAIT TIL YOUR FATHER GETS HOME might be airing make me wonder if METOONS TV could be venturing into mature programming. If so, then I wouldn’t be surprised if they try FIST OF THE NORTH STAR and other edgier work to test the waters.

It is sad that Checkered Past will be loosing a day starting next week for the time being, but it is great that there will be more shows coming even though I am not an anime person. Maybe eventually Checkered Past can expand it's time in other ways, such as coming on another day of the week, like Sunday since many people have work the next day. I am sure that Checkered Past will not be going anywhere any time soon.

Underdog was actually produced by a company called Total TeleVision Productions. Though it does make me wonder what they'll do with the "Go Go Gophers" segments as they are considered wildly racist by today's P.C. standards

Adult Swim was always one of my go to networks and im so glad they did this though it would be better if they would do it more like a Checkered past version of CC Fridays but Cartoon Network is imploding right before our eyes. As for MeTV Toons their definitely Targeting the Old Turner TBS/TNT/Cartoon Network Era when it was Atlanta Based.

OK. I think I know the reason Boomerang is on the cable package above the premium channels. Likely because back then the channel had no commercials at all and instead aired Cartoon Network promos until 2017 or something.

It does disturb me that one of the most exciting things that Cartoon Network has done is bring back shows from 15-25 years ago. It's worrying indeed that they're looking to the past rather than keeping a focus on new creativity. I vaguely recall that the new policy post merger with Warner Bros. Discovery is to only develop content for pre-existing IPs meaning no risk, no innovation, just nostalgia for an era that's not coming back. How long can the network stay afloat and stay culturally relevant if this is what they're doing?

Glad cartoon network is doing blocks again. Blocks are what made children's entertainment channels great, and "it's just teen titans go or spongebob depending on which channel you're watching" is what ruined the channel.
