You have no idea how much. Hahah! Just consider the UFS that has even made my Razor Genesys LE's heavy and outdated. The soul plates are now directly under your feet.

Definitely! Got Rollerblade Lightning in 1995 and K2 Backyard Bob in 1999. Fast-forward 21 years, and I just got USD AEON 60. I'm having a blast skating again and making videos.

What a great review. I’m 37 at this message time stamp and can recall having the best time skating in Kansas City. Getting in all sorts of trouble as well as some unbelievable core, ups and balls. I owned Roller Blade (first pair) then progressed to Roces, K2, Solomon, and my last pair was the Latimer USD model. USD quickly became my favorite skate period! The Royale was perfect on that skate, you could really get some style on that boot. And then, sadly, I became sponsored by SOAP shoes and left skating behind to grind directly on my soul. What a time to grow up. I remember going to the Jr college in KC and Jeff Belzeski coming up to me because I was wearing a SENATE bag. I was like, “whoa dude, I don’t know what to say. You’re kind of a big deal for me.” The dude is a managing director of a financial group now. It’d be crazy to get all these dads and OGs back on some plastic and see how it goes. BTW…. Going with USD. Not sure which model yet, but looking forward to it.

Thank you for all that you do for the sport. I am having to live vicariously through RU-vid right now because after injuring myself badly 12 years ago I had to stop skating, and not long after my K2 Nemesis skates were stolen. I want so badly to be able to blade again as a form of physical therapy and to get my strength back, but being disabled for so long has left me barely able to pay bills let alone buy skates. I’m praying I’ll find a way to skate soon. Another problem is I always skated K2 soft boot, and now I wouldn’t even have hardly any options for a soft boot skate.

I have a pair of rollerblade TRS alpha 3s with ground control liners ABEC 9 bearings and undercover wheels. Reign liner that game with the last Razor Shima Genesis skate. The whole set up came to about 450 dollars. With sales on the wheels and bearings. Still have it 11 years later. Still rolling. But I’m using my razor Cult street blues with the stock liners. They are really nice on my feet. Not sure why. Black mixer frames and razor wheels. Got it back in 2013 and had to replace the soul plates for the first time. I don’t skate a to. But enough to beat the boots up.

I have the 10.5 White 5th Elements. The Roces liner was way too small for my foot, 11.5 in length, 4 1/2 inch width. Switched out with a cheap Large Them V4 liner, for $40 from Oak City, and they feel fantastic! Very budget friendly liner option!

An absolutely AMAZING skate. I have the Richie 60s pro model and I will NEVER go back to any other skate at least for the time being. I love them so much! I went from riding anti rocker exclusively and now riding flat I can’t believe I rode anti rocker for so long! Lol

Just bought a pair of Sway USD 2000 stoked to try aggressive skating for the first time. Although I used to play hockey, and rollerblade A LOT, including stunts like 360s backwards - forward 180 turns, went through so many wheels I lost count lol... So it should be a natural transition. Maybe you'll see me on the pro scene in the near future ;)

@@Mikefantasia22 not really. Shima's contract expires and he went to do his own brand of skate. But that boot it self. No other skate out there like it. Genesis is genesis . And shima is shima.

Hi buddy, I just got back into blading since 1996. I used to own Roces majestic 12s. Now I've bought the Razors shift greys and salomon rob thompson wide body. Is there any other skate that you recommend? I have a slim foot and I've just started learning more with ramps as I've always been a grinding kind of skater. Is there anything out there that will be an all rounder? The shifts are great but for reason it has my heal lifted too high forcing me to lean forward. My drop ins feels dangerous compare to my salomons. Cheers, Steve

Skating was my life and I still find myself visualising me doing stuff I couldn't even do back then. Roces Romes blue back with some blood grinding wheels with abec 3 bearings! Oh and a grinding plate! Back garden scaffolding rail! Pro tec helmet if I was feeling professional. Aargon oxygen, black pair and a baby blue pair. K2 fatty's were my favourite skate though. I had a pair of Roces khuti also in white. My prize pair of skates I had were a gift from my late cousin Richard Taylor, these were actually my third pair of skates. No one else had these skates I think in the whole of the uk because at the time Richard was sponsored by Bauer so he had them before they went out for sale. Bauer respect I was told they were called but there was 2 options, a street type and a ramp type. I ended up giving them to Richards Brother out of respect, who then sold them on anyway lol

Guys like you, Nils, Brandon Drummond lol etc etc all are solid human beings. Salute brudda! Keep being awesome Side note - How long in your opinion should a pair of Aeon 60s last for a person who skates street 3-5 times a week for about 1-2 hours a session lol and usually hits a skatepark once a week at least? Because mine are almost done (frame wise, boot beat up, etc) And it’s been like 4 1/2 months 😂 Just wondering if you think that’s “normal” wear and tear? Thanks for the comment back if you do!

More important then hours on the skates will be the spot. If unwanted I could ruin a pair of Aeons in one hour skating the roughest spot. Just like it would ruin other skate. Please have in mind most shops will sell the usd Aeon Sheels for cheaper then the frame soul combo from other brands. The Aeons are still AN AMAZING DEAL

In my opinion RAZORS SHIMA 6 was the best skate up to date. Definitely most comfortable liner ever produced by far!!!

I just ordered everything that I need to build some usd vii's. Ivebeen really pumped to find a pair and have been in love with the gboots concept. However, there's one problem....they don't make the boots in the 11-13 sized boot. What a bummer.
