In this video I am talking about the Top 10 Arboreal Tarantulas! This is a list of my most favorite arboreal tarantulas in my collection (or I wish were in my collection)! This is the 62nd episode in a weekly series called Tarantula Tuesday. Usually I highlight one species each week covering basic information, husbandry and care. Being kinda specialised on arboreals, this list is a mix of my I-have and I-want list :D Thanks a lot for including laeta and minatrix, I feel those two don't get the love they deserve. There's one T though I'm missing on your list (but maybe that's just me) It's stromatopelma calceatum, a very fluffy west african arboreal with a reputation of having a bad attitude - which I cannot confirm so far!

Perfect timing for this video. I'm planning on getting a few T's when I get paid at the end of the month. Been lookong up various species and have been considering picking up my first arboreals. You've definitely sold me on the C. Versicolor (so floofy) and further solidified my choice on P. Irminia.

c.versi is simply a must have :) But be careful with p.irminia if you're not into old worlds yet. In my experience, she's the most aggressive of all my new worlds and as fast as most of my old worlds. Might be I got a psycho, but what I hear and read from others, chances are high you'll get one too! But without question, she makes up for it with her beauty.

Awesome Video Rich! I have most of this list. P. Metallica, P. Vittata, T. Seladonia, C. Versicolor, P. Irminia, A. Minatrix. You forgot Y. Diversipes and P. Pulcher. Both awesome arboreals. Darth maul is still evading me. Price, bad timing, etc. Most local expos besides Hamburg tarantula selection is small or a ton of common.

i found this channel at 3 am while procrastinating work and im so glad i did. your vids are very entertaining n informative, and have reignited my love for tarantulas. I used to have a g. rosea when i was 12, but i was unfortunately not the best at doing proper research and husbandry, and (s)he died after only a year. Thanks to you i want to try again at raising a T and doin it right this time. Keep it up ❤

Couldn't get one in . Ordered : L parahybana , M robustum , P cambridgei , N coloratovillosus , G actaeon this morning . Not much info on the M robustum out there . Help me out ?

M. robustum like to dig a lot, and prefer a more humid enclosure, and slightly cooler temperatures than most tarantulas. I hope this helps!

Here’s to the people who have some reason despite being scared of spiders…have now become that person that watches these types of videos especially before bed (23:41pm uk time) and LOVE THEM, the enclosures/colours and now I want one😂😂😂 A jumping spider is in my head and has been for a while. Edit - I don’t regret what I wrote but iv not stopped itching since watching this video😭 Honestly nature is so beautiful and if it wasn’t for people like you none of us would even know how amazing these animals really are.

Gooty sapphire was the first T I ever had courtesy of the previous tenants. They were pissed at being kicked out and left their Ts behind (with the lids deliberately left off the tops). Thus started my T collection as I was told I could keep anything I could catch. Most were male and have thus long since died. I did get a lovely female Gooty Sapphire our of it. And a Goliath birdeater which scared the shit out of me when I accidentally found it. Yeah... 11inch spider inches from your face is not how anyone wants to wake up. Even someone who likes Ts. Pity he was male I only had him a year.

Depends on your preference. There are great arboreal and terrestial species that make good beginner tarantulas. You should pick the one you are most excited about. Hey Richard! Do you or have ever kept the purple pink toe tarantula? I don't have one, but I'm planning to grow my tarantula collection! And I might get it and the goodie sapphire too or maybe the Antilles pink toe. I currently have 3 in my collection, so far and soon almost having 5 in my collection. I'm trying to see which arboreal spiders fit me best, and is the goodie sapphire a threatening spider? Will it want to bite? I only kept new worlds and I'm taking a step towards old worlds and I have been keeping tarantulas since ten years I hope you respond. 🙏

I live in Wales uk,before I go to sleep. Got to look in all four corners of the room,the giant house spiders are fast as fuck,I’m petrified of them,,but big tarantulas I don’t mind watching on video,,I wouldn’t hold one,,but they are just to fucking big to be spiders,coz I’m used to only seeing house spiders,,I think that’s why I don’t mind them,,I like the looks of the obt

They have bad molts much more often than other species, I’ve had two that died from bad molts out of eight, it’s pain

First, let me say...awesome rockin' of the beard bro. ;) Second, LOVE this list. Thanks for bring a bit more knowledge and highlighting such beauty in these special creatures. So many family and friends just don't get it and are resistant to letting go of their preconceived fears (mostly due to Hollywood making a ton of money off perpetuating that fear to make a buck). Hopefully with more vids like this, minds will be changed.
