I PROBABLY HAVE BEEN TO TWICE OR THREE TIMES AS MANY AS YOU HAVE IN YOUR LIFETIME AND MACKEY ARENA IS BY FAR THE BEST COLLEGE BASKETBALL ARENA IN THE COUNTRY THE OTHER ONES DO NOT EVEN COME CLOSE
I know two arenas in the PAC-12 (will be no more after the month of June) that are like Cameron in the baskets are hung… CU Events Center (Colorado) and Maples Pavilion (Stanford).
Again. Check out ICCU arena, its like a mini Fiserv Forum on the exterior. The use a lot of wood in it and it looks amazing. Its smaller but it looks great. Exterior and interior looks awesome and they have a practice court that looks beautiful as well.
Yes the pavilion 10 out of 10 I go there every year when they play Memphis and it’s a beautiful stadium. Man it gets loud in there !!!!! There isn’t a bad seat in the house!!! Probably one of my favorites.
I’ve been to Gallagher arena and yes the seats are extremely steep, when you’re walking up the stairs it feels like you might fall down. But it’s a very good arena.
Odd fact: The original Gallagher/Iba Arena only sat around 6500 (est.). Oklahoma State fans please reply if I’m off. The expansion was done in the 1990s thus the current size of the arena.
Thank you for these. I enjoy watching them. Yeah Duke does need a bigger stadium but it is tradition. Jesus Christ loves you and saves (John 3:16; John 14:6)!
The Pit at 10 is crazy, beautiful exterior iconic interior and a great environment for basketball, was just in the building last night 15,000 Lobo fans for a 8:15 tip off on a Sunday Have you even been to ABQ bro?
Why does the NCAA always play the First Four play-in games in Dayton?!? Same goes with every other year they host the first and second round games in one of the regions? I said it another video, but every time I think of The Pit at New Mexico, it's the 1983 Men's Championship where NC State wins on a buzzer beater and Jimmy V is running up and down the court finding one of his players to hug and the Houston player slamming his hand on the floor. Someone else said it too but I'm shocked Allen Fieldhouse is way down on this list and I like the Jayhawks. I also like the historic nod to the inventor of the game having lived in the town he was born in (Almonte, Ontario) for a few years and they take pride in honouring Dr. Naismith with a statue. What is the deal with the HUGE logos on the centre of the floor?!?
As a big college basketball fan ive always heard tales of teams being terrified to go into The Pavillion at Ole Miss. Lol. And the Carrier Dome is a dang dump.
Why in the hell isn't Rupp Arena on this list ?! .. Hhmm?,.. I guess the commentator doesn't think there is much college basketball, or winning tradition at Kentucky.
Allen field house is number one on anyone who knows basketball lists. Best home court advantage there is. World record for loudest indoor arena. The birthplace of basketball. The TRUE Mecca of college basketball
JMA Wireless Dome...better bring binoculars. WAY too far from the action. Also, not fit for purpose. Putting temporary seating at one end because they can't fill it?
THE BEST ARENA IN COLLEGE BASKETBALL IS BY FAR MACKEY ARENA THE HOME OF THE PURDUE BOILERMAKERS CAMRON INDOOR IS A HORRIBLE BASKETBALL ARENA THERE IS NOT ONE GOOD THING ABOUT IT
These are his personal favorite arenas, not an objective top 10 list of which venue has the best environment or home court advantage. That's why he has Allen Fieldhouse at #9 instead of #1 or #2 where it would normally be.
