@@SuperGravyMan lmao. All good. I recall some trap that was like "if they negate and destroy something "solemn", send all cards on your opponents field and hand to the grave.
Haha, I enjoy how straight-faced the joke of Nibiru being an Evil HERO support card is. (12:25) ...Wait, that can't be Nibiru in Adusted Gold's background - right?
@@obiw0n7 evil hero's are a sub archetype for the HERO archetype, it doesn't really need that much support for a pure evil hero deck. Vision heroes cant do crap by themselves either. The only archetype I really want pure support for is the invoked archetype. It literally has 1 main deck monster and that's it, unfortunately
I feel like master duel made Evil HERO’s better. I haven’t played in a while but I managed to build a solid deck using Evil HERO’s and it’s been fun! I really do hope Konami sees this and makes more :(
To be fair, price is a consideration that people need to take into account when building a deck; it's partly why budget decks are a thing, since there are players that cannot afford $120+ on just a single card
There are many top tier decks that cost less than $120. Its mostly an inflated price due to collectors and nostalgia baited people. The card realistically should go for a max of $20
I kinda wish they did more with the Supreme King. As cool as an evil version of a protagonist is, all of his stuff was off screen. Makes me want a GX movie or something.
I’ll be honest I very strongly disliked season 3 of Yugioh GX, however, I especially loved the Supreme King story arc. Really enjoyed seeing each of the Evil Heroes negative effects. To be honest it almost made them way too overpowered. Not to mention we only saw 2 major duels of The Supreme King and it kills me we’ll never see more of his new cards on screen. Guess his reign had to be short and sweet though. Well done on the list!
As extra info: Evil hero lightning golem got an indirect nerf in his reprint, the original effect states "once per turn you can destroy 1 monster on the field" while the reprint states "once per turn you can target 1 monster on the field. Destroy that target"
Top 10 smallest archetypes whose members see competitive play. The one that comes to mind is impcantations who are used in almost every ritual based deck and they only have 6 monsters and 2 spells. Edit: Not sure if the size of an archetype is determined by just their named members or both their named members and support. If DuelLogs sees this, he can decide what he wants the criteria to be.
@@aroperdope Not just impcantations, but other small archetypes that see competitive play as engines or even the main part of the deck when combined with generic support.
@@monkeymon327 out of like, 6-7 fusions? 4 of them require the vanilla elemental heroes, aka avian, clayman etc in other words is not gonna work in current hero decks The only super good fusion is a bit too good for duel links and won't be released
...I sadly feel better for that than it's original Captain Gold version: a unique HERO card unusable aside from Field card searching. You can at least leave Adjusted Gold on field as a 2100 Atk wall.
I misunderstood supreme king castle. I thought it worked like fusion gate, and just let you fuse your monsters for any monster that can only be summoned with dark fusion. Was thinking it would actually make them competitive.
Honourable mention to Xtra HERO Infernal Devicer. It's not technically an Evil Hero, but it's clearly designed to support them with its first effect searching specifically listed materials (which all but 2 of the Evil Hero fusions have) and its second effect specifically boosting Fiends. Given the first effect locks you into HERO monsters for the turn, it's ultimately Fiend HERO support - i.e Evil HERO support.
I always thought Nibiru was the comet from GX, it always felt like it belongs to evil heroes and it has the same color and shape of the comet after it losses it's covering.
Evil Hero Dark Gaia IS based off an E-Hero, it's called Elemental Hero Gaia. The original's not as well known though since it was adapted from a card from the manga. Also loved the background for Adusted Gold, Halloween in July!
I feel like it would be interesting to see a video on cards that are so bad they become notorious for it, sort of the opposite of your rankings based on how much competitive play they see. But it's difficult to measure how *little* play bad cards see
"Although only three of the Evil HERO fusion monsters ever did [see competitive play], so that's not really a mark against the card itself." Wow, that's a new attitude. I like it!
@@Prince_Eva_Huepow I dont know if they can even be considered an archetype. Although if they are I think they arent close to the worst since each god card has decent effects and Sphere Mode is a pretty good card. There's some archetypes that just dont summon anything good or have really specific requirements for any decent plays. Most are more of a hassle then summoning 3 cards with a god in hand.
@@LuigiaTV yup, they are an archetype since there is a card that names them, being the spell, curiously enough, monarch monsters arent an archetype, but the spells are
Phantom Beasts, Dark Scorpions, Reactors, Venoms, Guardians (Yes, Eatos is good, but the rest is hot garbage.), Ally of Justice, Arcana Force, Earthbound Immortals (Yes, the new support doesn't change much.), Vehicroids (Again, the new support doesn't change much.) and B.E.S. (Zelos is great and the new monsters give them some playability, but it's still shit.).
Evil HERO coming into Duel Links in the end of this month with the arrival of the Supreme King, good timing as always P.S: After the top ten list for all the HERO subtypes, can you make a list with every D/D or D/D/D monsters? They are a quite interesting deck and has multiple variants, so it can fit easily in this type of video
@@taylorester2658 D/D has basically all the summons in the game(except Rituals), and has really strong support and good boss monsters(damn, just look at D/D/D Kali Yuga). And Blackwings are simply the deck from 5DS that got the most support over the years
Plus retrained forms of both Elemental and Evil respective HEROes We also need the Evil HERO+Dark Fusion-themed cards as well as the Anime references’ themed cards. In return, the Evil HEROes’ Deck(s) will be truly competitive and META to the point of no longer be a butt of the jokes forever
One idea I have for a video is the best equip cards that DON'T special summon monsters. With that kind of parameter it'd be interesting to see what other kinds of equip spells would make the list other than Smoke Grenade of the Thief and Butterfly Dagger Elma
This is a really nice video to watch as the Supreme King was announced for Duel Links just a few days ago and I know almost nothing about Evil Heroes. On another note, I would love to see a video involving Furhire in some way. I love those guys.
@@inusan2198 actually to get bane out you need an Evil HERO in your graveyard or hand, so Adusted gold is important, it makes the combo alot more consistent than using a different Evil HERO
@@hikarimemeirooficial Did you even read the Neo-Spacians? Glow Moss literally draws your opponent cards, flare scarab is too weak to be good with an attack boosting effect, Aqua dolphin only became good when people found out its effect was good for getting rid of hand traps, I don't remember what dark panther does, air hummingbird just gives you life points and Duel Logs already has a video on why those effects are bad, and grand mole is the only one who saw decent play besides Aqua dolphin. Most of their support is mid at best, Nex at worst. Then they have an entire sub archetype of the Chrysalis cards which do absolutely nothing for the deck because they suck so much even Jaden forgot about them. And all the contacts fusions need a vanilla beater alongside one of the Neo-Spacians just to bring out, add collapse in on themselves quicker than a black hole if you don't have a field spell.
Ive been wanting to get back into yugioh for a while and come back with a hero deck but adusted gold, malicious bane, and lightning storm are what have kept me at bay for a while now since theyre all so needed for the decks to even really chance winning. Heres to hoping for a slew of reprints soon on all them
One video I'd love to see is top 10 most common attribute/type combinations. Like dark fiend, light dragon, earth machine (I don't know if any of those would actually be on the list, they're just common combinations I thought of). Likewise, the top 10 least common would also be cool to see. By the way, I love this cataloging of Hero cards, I'm looking forward to the rest!
For the most part not really. There are staples that are hella expensive, but that's normal. What's abnormal is a small engine part of a single archetype that cant be played outside of its archetype being as expensive as adusted gold. And its price absolutely affects its amount of competitive tops, which is not really the case for other meta archetypes.
@@TheDuelLogs Oh nice to know, coming from Magic The Gathering, random cards being super expensive is very normal, and any staple for anything also is expensive, so never seeing people mentioning prices is weird to me.
Top 10 Archetypes that were collateral damage of a ban because several other decks were using their support. For example Gem-Knights losing brilliant fusion because literally every other deck was running it.
Evil HEROes are still one of my favorite HERO sub-archetypes despite how lackluster they are. Something about them appeals to the edgy 15 years old inside me and I'm so glad they've finally gotten more support after so long. I'll have to applaud DuelLogs on his video editing skills. His choice of background music and his narration are almost always on point creating a really immersive and atmospheric experience. Can't wait for the Vision HEROes video.
My dream as a duellist when i got back to Yu-Gi-Oh in 2016 was to build a competitive hero deck, so last years i bought a legendary duellist display to get the final pieces of the deck. I just was tge happiest on earth when i dropped malicious bane and gold adust in that single box. One of my best memory of yugioh
There is an Elemental hero Gaia, but he doesn't have anything comparable to Evil Hero dark Gaia except for the name, and that he also use generic materials(but evil Gaia use even more generics since you don't need any kind of Hero for the fusion)
Top 10 cards that reference the anime/manga. Top 10 parody cards. Top 10 cards based on other Konami games. Top 10 special conditions in the games. Top 10 anime/manga exclusive cards. Top 10 cards that newcomers shouldn't use. More Rescue Rabbit, please.
not a Top 10 kind of video but would love to see (or hear) you do the Yu-Gi-Oh Iceberg explained some youtuber did that but skipped almost if not all tcg related topics
@@Prince_Eva_Huepow those 3 cards are most likely in the top 5. Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon is 100% number one (And yes it is a Red-Eyes and not a Dark Magician card).
Dark Gaia has always been my favorite of the Evil Hero cards. I was not able to get this card until recently, but I used it extensively in the DS games. You really can't play this in a Hero deck due to its very specific monster requirements, but as its own deck it can really do some damage. Here is a sample of one of my decks for it: Extra deck: Dark Gaia x 3 Evil Hero Malicious Fiend x 3 Crazy Box x1 Gem Knight Pearl x1 Monsters: Evil Hero Malicious Edge x1 Dark Dreadroot x1 Raviel, Lord of Phantasms x1 Gaia Plate x 1 Valkyrion the Magna Warrior x 1 Granmarg the Earth Monarch x1 Caius the Shadow Monarch x 1 Archfiend Soldier x 3 Fossil Tusker x 3 Koa'ki Maru Sandstone x 1 Gigantes x 3 Morphing Jar x 1 Spells: Dark Calling x 3 Dark Fusion x 3 Twin Twisters x 1 Raigeki x 1 Foolish Burial x 1 Traps: Divine Wrath x 1 Solemn Judgement x 1 Mirror Force x 1 Compulsory Evacuation Device x 3 I know this is a bad deck, but in the old days it could wreck your opponents. Working on a newer build as if now, maybe adding some of the newer Evil Heroes into this.
also realized I was 10 cards short. Also could add Pot of Averice x 1, Drowning Mirror Force x 1, Bottemless Trap Hole x 3, Shrink x 2, Darklord No More x 1, Call of the Haunted x 1, and Monster Reborn x1.
Not to come off like I'm trying to correct you and shit, but Jaden is actually the reincarnation of an ancient king named Haou and Yubel used to be a human that looked after him.
Technically it is true that he had a mental breakdown. Hao fed off jadens negative emotions which is why he was unwavering order .When really he is only suppose to stop the light of destruction not attack innocents.Even though he was challenged.Jaden did get the power under control before his fusion with yubel
Suggestions: 1. Best field spell cards 2. Archetypes Wich most of its members are in the ban list 3. Archetypes Wich have more quantity of cards inside of its archetype 4. Best OTK disablers
Now that you mention price, I love to see "Top 10 non-specific card with highest average price" (not counting those super rare limited-printing cards) or "Top 10 cards that has unreasonable high price"
top 10 field spells would be pretty neat. the idea actually seemed so obvious I checked if you've done it but i couldn't find anything. you did the ten worst and even the best searchers but not field spells themselves.
While I understand why it wasn't in the top ten, I'm surprised that Infernal Gainer wasn't at least mentioned when talking about Necrom. To get Bane on the field, Necrom was usually the fiend or level 5 or higher material which I usually used it's effect to get Infernal Gainer to give Bane two attacks per turn or any fiend monster if I felt like it.
Please do Top 10 most used link monsters or Top 10 non-Number XYZ monsters or Top 10 fusion monsters that can only be brought out with Polymerization !
I'd really love to see the top 10 Best/Worse Machine monsters. They are my favorite type so I'd like to see what you/others think of them comparatively
A card that i think definitely should have been on this list is Xtra hero infernal devicer. A link 2 fiend monster with bottom left, and bottom arrows that allows you to reveal a hero fusion monster in your extra deck and add up to 2 listed materials from your deck to your hand as long as they have different names. I.e. show lightning golem to add sparkman and clayman to your hand. Doing so locks you into heroes for the rest of the turn, but what else would you summon in a hero deck? And it also boosts attack and defense of fiend monsters it points to by 100×their level. While this card is intended for Evil heroes, it's also useful for Elemental heroes and even neos decks since a lot of their monsters have specific materials.
Technically not an Evil HERO. It's an Xtra HERO that is designed to be used with Evil HEROs specifically (like how Cross Crusader was meant to be used with Destiny HEROs).
