Love the LMF 2 . a fantastic knife . My wife carries it in the Army and is exceptional . and as a former Marine. A firefighter and search & rescue worker this is a workhorse . always reliable . and tuff as nails .
Maybe Gerber knives are not the most durable knives on the market but they definelely look cool, especially Gerber Strongarm which is my favorite from Gerber's collection of tactical knives.
About 20 + years ago I first saw a Gerber Gator folding knife a lady friend carried and I can say that was a increadibly sexy knife. Super sharp and felt amazing in the hand. Been a Gerber fan ever since.
Surprised you didn’t feature the guardian. I bought one over 20 years ago. Still looks and functions like the day I bought it with no maintenance except sharpening.
I have two Gerber strong arms one serrated, one straight edge both of them came with issues of the grind being off-center and or unequal on both sides other than that I love the knives. PS: They are a pain in the ass to fix and sharpen.
I recently bought a Gerber folding knife with a pixelated camouflaged handle, containing a small very official looking "United States Army" badge (written around a spread eagle insignia), a wire cutter and a window breaker stud. It's reassuringly heavy and seems quite robust, but do Gerber actually supply the US army with standard issue folding knives?
The airforce issued automatic knives to pilots. The idea of an auto knife isn't how fast the blade opens but that it opens with one hand got ease of access to the blade. The airforce knife opened slowly but surely.
I have never had a Gerber knife that didn't have crappy or poorly heat treated steel. Steel that chips so easy and that seems to dull from looking at it, while for the cost of knives far better. I'll never buy another and suggest people buy something else.
I dont live in the USA (but within the USMCA) and is sad to me that some of those babies are made in China, is kind of a downer when you purchase something that great and you see the Made in China logo, I like when it says "Proudly made in USA", even if you buy some random product in a road store, if is made in the USA the quality is better
Very disappointing for a Gerber lover. To get all the way through this video. Of the best Gerbers of ALL time and the Guardian is not represented. Shame on you.
