I disagree with like 70% of your reviews, but I still love watching you. I feel like you present your views in a friendly, non-hostile, and entertaining way. Plus, I always like hearing different perspectives on things.

You literally won my heart when "Thor" showed up, most people prefer "Captain America the First Avenger" over "Thor" and i was thinking i am the only one who liked "Thor"........btw i also expected "Rango" in your list, Anyways great vid.
He's probably never heard of it. That's the problem with these lists. They never take the time to watch most films from 2011, it's really only mainstream films that make the list. That's why i prefer YMS's best of the year lists.
Solarstar10 YMS best movie of the year list are always the best. I get to watch different and unheard of movies that I never heard of until I watch them.
You're damn right Matthew. I won't lie, I enjoy quite a few of the films on Jeremy's list, but there's just no variety in film. It's mostly mainstream filmed with a billion dollar advertising budget films.
Hell yes, Deathly Hallows Part 2 was the best of 2011. Once again, Jeremy, you've proven to be a movie reviewer I can both enjoy for pure entertaiment, and agree with in principle. Kudos. Keep up the great work.
For me, "The Adventures of Tintin" was the best movie of the year. It was so thrilling and fascinating for me to see my childhood hero on the big screen, with such a faithful team behind everything, especially the writing by Steven Moffat. I went to the cinema 3 times to watch it, and I saw new details and new hints to the original comic books I know and love, everytime I went to see it. Absolutely wonderful.

I'm a huge Harry Potter fan, love the books, love the movies. But, Warrior was my favourite 2011 movie, me being a martial artist and coming from a background where most of my family is military. Its story is very heart wrenching and personal for me. Also having Charles 'Mask' Lewis Jr, he was one of the people who got me into martial arts. I was touched by the tribute for him. Warrior, definetly greatest movie of 2011 and argurably one of the best of all time
I swear, if you hadn't put Harry Potter in this list I'll probably would have never liked your videos again. Glad to see that it was #1! (that also goes for Kung Fu Panda 2)
I just started watching your reviews/other videos, and I completely agree with everything you say! Thank you for being on youtube!! P.S: You remind me of Dan (Penn Badgley) from Gossip Girl. Is that weird? Hahaha

For top 2012 movies don't forget sinister, that was so different from every other recent horror film but in a good way. Relatable charaters, background story and you actually want the family to live(unlike alot of slasher films). Your actually worried.
I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH YOU. Especially for the Harry Potter pick!! - I am pretty much OBSESSED with the Harry Potter series and seeing you put it as number one really made my day!!! And I mean REALLY. Heck, it made my year! At first I thought you weren't going to put it in, and I was like OH MY GOD... And then you put it as number one and I pretty much screamed in joy there. *Changes le subject* Um... With Thor, I definitely agree. I haven't seen it but I've heard loads about it and I really want to! IKR - Loads of people will most likely be like "You haven't seen THOR?!??" and all that shiz... For that, I apologise. In fact, I haven't seen most on this list but I really want to considering all I've heard about them from both you and various other sources. HPDH Part 2 was pretty AWESOME... I have to admit. I may love the series as a whole but you are completely right about most of it not much contributing to the books... They missed out a lot of stuff that really should have been in there, because people who are new to the HP world and/or haven't read the books won't have much clue and won't be able to feel for it like us Potterheads do. Even though it kinda exceeds running time for movies to put everything in, they should have at least rearranged the storyline that they perceived in their movies to make it make a whole lot more sense. (Does that make sense??) Anyway, I'm gonna shut up now. I know that might not have made much sense but I hope it held some sort of meaning for you. Thanks! ;)
Well, it's kind of difficult to compose a top ten list, but at number 1 I would put 50/50. It touched me like that was the first movie to actually make me shed a tear in the theater. No joke!
10. Sherlock Holmes:A Game of Shadows 9. Mission Impossible:Ghost Protocol 8. We Bought A Zoo 7. Thor 6. Captain America 5. Rise of The Planet of the Apes 4. Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows, Part 2 3. X-Men:First Class 2. Source Code 1. Warrior
Drive, Shame, Tree of Life, Melancholia, Moneyball hell even crazy stupid love... and he picks Harry Potter and Thor? This list is for fanboys; also, please stop being completely biased. Thanks!
Aseril Lmao calm the fuck down. Now you're making assumptions and making yourself look stupid. Just because you don't know how to appreciate things that are juuuust a bit deeper than fucking Marvel's thousand and one uninspired copy and paste superhero movies, that doesn't mean that the people that do enjoy more artistic and cerebral films act the way you described. Also, I appreciate the ad hominem weeaboo comment - you're a real special snowflake.
Overrated doesn't mean unknown it means receiving more praise than it deserves. The word you want is overlooked. And yeah it's a very loved action film, I think it's overrated

So we got two scenarios here either you saw drive and didn't like it or you didn't see drive (or the best movie of 2011 possibly even this decade) and i don't know which one is worse. Either way I am very disappointed.
He saw Drive and didn't like it all that much. The fact that Drive isn't on the list and that Harry Potter made the number 1 spot is just mind boggling to me. One hand you have Drive, a beautifully crafted film with superb acting, a brilliant story, an amazing score and soundtrack as well as some of the most beautiful cinematography out to screen. On the other you have Harry Potter, an entertaining albeit very predictable and really not all that special film.
10. Boring 9. Legendary 8. Was way too good to be #8 7. Really cool 6. Never seen it 5. Should be number 1 4. Really interesting 3. Should be number 2 2. Never seen it 1. Loved but a top 3

My thoughts on your list 10. My favorite Animated movie of 2011 9. Decent 8. Very Good 7. Good but not great 6. Never Seen 5. Never Seen 4. Great start to one of the greatest 3. Amazing savior to the X-men franchise 2. Never Seen 1. One of the Best Conclusions to an EPIC Saga!
+Dsnipez18 Wow, is YMS's fanbase really did pretentious? I almost feel embarrassed watching YMS at this point, since his fanbase gives him a terrible name. YMS's comment was very douchey too, but his fanbase telling other people to stop listening to one film critics opinions is just as bad.
its hardly pretentious its like when ppl review anything restaurants to hotels people recommend the ones they like plus this guy isn't the best reviewer its quite clear
And my favorite film of 2011 was WARRIOR!!! Such a damn good movie. I've seen it a few times since its initial release and I still get choked up every time!!
The Official/Factual List • Call Me by Your Name • Three Billboards • Baby Driver • The Shape of Water • The Big Sick • I Love you Daddy • Get Out • The Disaster Artist • Lady Bird • Molly’s Game
I loved the books since they came out but i only recently realised how good the hp movies are, I had seen them all before but i guess because they had kinda been forced on us I didn't care too much, but movies 5-8 are epic, 8 is flat out awesome
