Not that Cam and Dylan aren’t amazing too! Also I just wanted to say I ordered a food chain wins games hoodie probably close to a year ago and I still wear it all the time. Great stuff guys❤️
YOU GUYS TOTALLY MISSED JAHEIRA!!! That card is so insanely busted, it makes ALL of your tokens mox emeralds, not just creature tokens! You can spam the board with Food and Clue tokens to ramp faster than any other commander. Cards like Fae Offering and Giant Opportunity and Academy Manufactor ramp Jaheira into the stratosphere.
Just wanted to say, Cameron pronounced Wyll correctly. It is, in fact, Will. Source: Baldurs Gate 3, the game the character originated from. But he also butchered Zevlor, so you win some you lose some 😂
@@pe3der as someone who also watches saffronolive, who jumbles around all the letters in words and adds and/or removes up to 4 letters each, cam doesn't seem that bad 🤣
I do really appreciate that we have been for sure seeing more and more "mono-white" cards coming up on these lists you guys make- none of them are game breaking, but we just need tons of more mono white consistency, not mono white Docksides, so I'm really liking where we're trending, give it a year and white will be a lot higher than it was a year ago Great energy sitting at the table, and I always love the melding of opinions, good shit gentlemen, thank you for always being so reliable and giving us the much needed content we're gagging for!
Nice show, liking the enthusiasm. Tyler is mostly right about Stax, however he missed that Stax also requires the player to drag out the game as long as possible.
I could be reading it wrong but I think Gale turns your sorceries into instants when you cast an instant off turn. The card is giving permission to do so if you hit the criteria. Downside is you need to constantly be generating mana. I think a green or red background could work too.
Amazing energy guys! I like that CL2 didn't introduced any Jeweled Lotus kind of cards but I hoped for some more reprints. I guess they probably savred all of the juicy ones for Double Masters 2. Anywa, amazing content, I love you all.
That fixed partner commander that I'd functionally worldgorger might be good to take into your hand so you can discard it easier. I don't think you ever actually want to cast that thing if you can avoid it.. you want to animate it instead.
I really enjoy Tyler's opinions. (I have ridden the wave of Dylan and Cam's opinions over the last 2 years), it just nice to see a different perspective. love you guys!
Abdel Adrian doesn't get punished by removal as much as the worldgorger dragon does. Instead of losing your board you can just choose zero non land permaments. You still get stopped but at least you don't lose everything
Love Tyler being mad about Cams pronounciation then getting words wrong himself. We all do it, but its especially gpod when someone who corrects people get them wrong.
Unlike hull breaker horror Displacer kitten flickers it, so it returns to the battlefield. To go infinite, you’d need to return them to your hand somehow. So lotus petal, LED, and e witness would go infinite. We did it. We broke LED. Alternately muldrotha and a lotus petal go infinite by themselves. Lots of infinite displacer combos
Recommendation: Edit the video to be broken out by intro, 10 sections, and then recap/conclusion. That way people can click through the list by ranking. Just a thought! Either way, your material is amazing!!!
Are top 10 lists replacing the previous set review videos where every relevant(ish) card would be discussed somewhat? I liked those because you could talk somewhat in depth about fringe cards as well. Plus, making Cam have to read more card names is never a bad thing.
Quality control on the rugs, “you can’t sell these rugs, they’ll kill someone.” Manager of rugs, killing quality control with said rugs, “you’re correct, but that’s the point.”
I don't get why folks don't see how good Shadowheart, she get insane card draw realibly and she gets choose a background. Match her with a red background like Passionate Archeologist, then cast red steal a creature spells and then sacrifice the stolen creature for card draw. She also goes well in any black deck.
Because it's super slow ? 4 mana to cast her once, 2 mana to activate her once a turn, no haste, no protection, you're limited to max two colours, and black already doesn't have any issue drawing so the advantage is kinda meh ? It's not bad but it's like, a skullport merchant ?
The cat can be used instead of the poly tyrant or the other one in Urza. Like you can cast a mana crypt and then flicker your sol ring or something like that to get infinite mana. And you can also flicker Urza to get infinite karnstructs.
I am so fucking PUMPED for Baldurs gate. Having grown up playing the series and IWD and NWN, I’m awkwardly more excited for this than the double masters
I'm super stoked on Storm King's Thunder for my Vadrik deck. I consistently have him at around 9 power so 9 copies of any of my other spells would be wacky
I was thinking of Black Market Connections as a potentially better Dark Confidant. But I haven't really seen much of Bob recently, so I'm assuming that effect is just too slow for cEDH right?
bob is a very good card, but the pace of your deck will want to be less fast because you have to wait a cycle. early with some mana acceleration its great
We did talk about this a bit but 1. Black market connections was not yet spoiled when we filmed and 2. It would have been close to the bottom of top 10 anyway if it did make it. 90% of the time it's just worse phyrexian arena.
@@pe3der yeah I was thinking about the comparison to Phytexian Arena, and I can see it being worse cause of 2 life instead of one, but better because of the treasure potential. I also just assume that for cEDH any deck that could potentially want this would be in black anyway for Naus and in that case you didn't want to be that slow to run this. Thoughts?
@@thomasnoonan2039 little bit early for such specific speculation but I think that the decks that want this are like Toxrill and maybe Tasigur. Just slow advantage decks
Ancient Copper Dragon should've at least been an honorable mention imo. It seems like an auto-include in Kaalia and Ilharg to me. If Sneak and ShObeka becomes a thing it's good there too. Any deck that cheats it into play attacking or with haste turns it into Primeval Extortionist. Sure that's pretty niche in Cedh, but I think it's worth a mention.
Does Abdel/Agent make Anje Falkenrath completely obsolete? It let's you drop all the bad Madness cards and just play tutors, interaction, Mana, and reanimate
Kinda want to build an Abdel/Agent of the Throne deck now, as I love my Anje Worldgorger deck, and having the same thing, but in a different color, would be a huge suprise to my playgroup
As a casual viewer of cEDH content.. I can't really fairly give judgement on cards that would work in cEDH... HOWEVER, as a lifelong fan of the Baldur's Gate franchise, I have to throw a correction in for Cameron's pronunciation of Gorion! It's Gor-i-on!!!!!! Also random fun fact, Abdel Adrian is a DDEEEEEEEEP cut for fans of the franchise. They did a trilogy, based on the story of Baldur's Gate 1, 2, and 2's expansion Throne of Bhaal, and he was the stand in for the player character in the novelization
Kitten goes infinite with teferi time raveler and any mana positive rock except chrome mox sometimes and mox diamond most of the time. Abdel also makes an infinite board even without a rock.
I love when Wizards makes new cards that remove the downsides of old cards. Like Thassa's Oracle and Abdel. Lab Man and Worldgorger just weren't quite good enough.
wizards has a thing with names and just making one letter weird. it was really awkward when they were into european names and made atrocities like "strefan"
@@pe3der Displacer Kitten says when you CAST a noncreature spell. Isochron Scepter casts the spell exiled under it. Imprint Dramatic Reversal with at least two mana from dorks/rocks, boom, infinite blinks. Dramatic Scepter is great for storm as well.
@@davidpipes6805 So for 4 more mana plus an additional card, isorev becomes more efficient by one mana or whatever your best rock taps for? Seems playable but not earth shattering
@@pe3der It’s perfectly reasonable to play Displacer Kitten just for value, especially if your commander has a good etb or cares about etb triggers. Putting Dramatic Scepter in the deck for a combo is already very common, so I don’t think it’s far fetched by any means. Not “earth shattering” necessarily, but definitely cool my guy:)
