@@EastsidedTTV If I manage to finally get my event marked mons before Typhlosion I'd be happy to trade you both a normal Zarude and a Dada one I used for the Mewtwo raids
Focus Blast is a potential coverage move for Hyphlosion, so idk if I'd recommend Umbreon or Snorlax, but both ig would be ok if it doesn't have it. With Calm Mind access and a higher SpA stat than regular form, I doubt Hyphlosion's gonna run any physical moves this time. I'd be shocked if it did. I'd put some Speed investment on some of these to get the jump on neutral-speed Hyphlosion, especially for Cresselia since it'll want to use its moves before the boss can act. 44 for Kyogre, 84 for Cresselia, 124 for Goodra. I just don't see Gyarados doing anything notable to be honest, and I'd swap it out for something like Blissey or Gastrodon as a supporter. Both have reliable recovery, and Blissey has Light Screen, Life Dew, Rain Dance, and the newly-more-accessible Heal Bell thanks to Chimecho appearing in Kitakami. Healer on Blissey will actually serve a function for once, passively-healing ally status conditions, aka Burn, 30% of the time. Even if Hyphlosion has Focus Blast, it's a Blissey lmao. Gastrodon, meanwhile, can spam Mud-Slap, and use Clear Smog for CM spam. It looks bad because of possible Solar Beam, but with everyone using Rain, I think it'll do fine. I wouldn't list Walking Wake as a damager, either. No boosting moves. I'd actually list Noble Roar as a 4th move as it lowers both attacking stats by 1 stage with perfect accuracy. Not sure how I feel about Azumarill as the #1 here due to how much support it needs. It's way too slow to get that Misty Terrain off before it gets Burned, meaning you'll need to waste a turn Heal Cheering afterwards or wait for an ally to cure you. For Manaphy, you can slot in Take Heart as an option over Rain Dance since i can imagine Rain will be very common. Take Heart is Calm Mind + Refresh in one move, and you'll mostly be using it as a way to boost your SpDef and curing burn if no Rain is up. Another option it could do with teammates is Rest, which would heal it from full, and wake up the next turn thanks to Hydration.
I cant address every single point in this comment, but I'll attempt: -I think a supportive snorlax with mud slap lowering the acc of 70% focus blast is more viable than an offensive snorlax - 0+ SpA Typhlosion-Hisui Focus Blast vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Umbreon: 134-158 (34 - 40.1%) guaranteed 3HKO (doesnt include snarls lowering Typhlosion's SpATT) -Ground-type moves: you never know. Typhlosion had TWO physical moves, and it has the same offensive base stats as H. Typhlosion - speed isnt too relevant for raids unless you HAVE to hit first to live, EVs more valuable in offenses/defenses. And we dont know if Typhlosion will be a speed boosting nature, so youll have to invest even more into speed. And if theres a Tera-fire boosted turn 0-1 Sunny Day-Eruption combo, you will most likely get KO'ed. -Gyarados resists the fire, ground, grass, and fighting type attacks. Biggest thing that holds it back is its a physical attacker. And ALL physical attackers will have a hard time finding value in this raid. -I said it in my video, but again, there are many other potential supporters. -Dont sleep on Walking Wake: great typing, takes advantage of sun and rain, and Snarl spam will be really helpful for your teammates (and it works through shields unlike Noble Roar). Something I really liked about Walking Wake is that its stats are so good, you dont have to fully invest in bulk to live hits, unlike other pokemon. -Azumarill: Heal cheer could help you regen post belly drum AND clear the burn if you get burned turn 0-1. Just keep in mind, you're not guaranteed to get burnt -Cant guarentee your teammates will run rain dance, so its better to have it available on your move set. Its like with Hisuian Decidueye, you'd assume one of your teammates would run Taunt, and there were times were no one did, so you just lost (unless you had clear smog). -Rest is a good option! I think Shell Bell is better because you'll heal AND deal dmg at the same time. Rest is pretty much a solo heal cheer My favorites that I'll be using: Goodra, Walking Wake, Kyogre, and Cresselia Hope that cleared up any concerns! Cant articulate all of my thoughts in the video (because retention drops). I think you bring up good points.
@@EastsidedTTV support thick fat lax sounds kinda cool, actually. thinking max spdef w/ mud-slap, recycle + sitrus berry, amnesia, and helping hand + attack cheer. Maybe Screech somewhere if the boss doesn't reset its stats post-shield, but I see SpA mons being better for this anyway. I usually like to invest in some speed for 7* raids if I can afford to, and the mons I listed definitely can. They're fast enough to where not too much Speed investment is needed, and they're specially bulky enough to where they won't miss those extra HP EVs. +1 0+ (Modest) SpA Typhlosion-Hisui Infernal Parade (60 BP) vs. 172 HP / 252+ SpD Cresselia through Light Screen: 79-94 (18.6 - 22.1%) -- possible 5HKO +1 0 (Timid) SpA Typhlosion-Hisui Infernal Parade (60 BP) vs. 84 HP / 252+ SpD Cresselia through Light Screen: 72-85 (17.9 - 21.1%) -- possible 5HKO If a mon is too slow like Azu, then yeah no point in Speed at all, but having Cress, for example, set up a Safeguard before it's hit by a Burn is huge. If it's slower, it's getting burned, then it's hit by a 120 BP super effective Infernal Parade the next turn unless you burn a Heal Cheer. Speed can prevent this outcome. For Walking Wake, I actually used one during the regular Typhlosion raid so I know that it's pretty cool. I used Noble Roar, Chilling Water, and Snarl at the time. NR is cool since you can use it as a 100% accurate Snarl before shield goes up, then switch to Snarl when shield activates. I was suggesting NR over Scald for this reason.
@@TheVengefulVadam speed does sound good on Cresselia! I’m just so lazy to adjust EVs after building 😂😂. That noble roar switch will be quick and easy though
I'm a HUGE supporter of speed in tera raids, especially in the support role. I always see the statement of 'speed isn't that important in raids' followed with the caveat of 'unless you're trying not to die'. My online random groups were getting wrecked in the last typhlosion raid until I made my pokemon a bit more speedy.
Ive got my support miraidon waiting in line, as well as my Oranguru from the last Typhlosion raid. Gonna see how my delphox neutering Grumpig does with a kasib berry too!
Dragalge w/Water tera is a good choice to solo Hisuian Typhlosion. Just be ready to constantly heal cheer to remove burn status. I used this build: EVs: 252 HP/Special Attack, 4 Special Defense Item: Shell Bell Moveset: - Rain Dance - Surf - Acid Spray
I'm admittedly surprised Peliper didn't make this list. Its a very accessable mon that doesn't require a third party game or DLC to get, it has access to Wide Guard (which can be cheesed to block 2 Eruptions in a row, as seen during the Zangoose OHKO against the Jhoto Typhlosion raid). It sets up the rain with Drizzle, has access to Taunt, Mist (in case it has any debuffing moves like Shadow Ball or Smokescreen), Roost to stay healthy, Icy Wind and Tailwind for speed and Helping Hand.
Golduck is big chilling in my boxes for this. Thought about using Bombirdier because it’s not screwed by Solar Beam while still having super effective stab with Rocky Payload. I’m not too concerned about Eruption because it’s going to get weaker so I’m thinking Bombirdier is an ok option, it only has a downside of relying on support. Other than that, Ursaluna seems like a great damager to me for this
I didn’t like Ursaluna. I ran the calcs and fire-Tera boosted fire attacks rollllllll Ursaluna. Like bad. I didn’t even consider bombirdier! I focused on special attackers who don’t have to rely on teammate support when I was researching. You have to worry about setting the rain and the burns cutting your physical attack in half
@@EastsidedTTV true, though my only problem with Bombirdier is it won’t be doing much damage without setup so it would literally only work in a team setup with at least one Mon specifically for it. Still, I’ll probably try Ursaluna but I’m really going to be relying on Golduck with Rain Dance, Simple Beam and Screech since Typhlosion has a lower defense and heal cheer, OR just Simple Beam a Manaphy. Either way I think Golduck is my pick for support
Don't know about azumarill being an attacker, as a support it may work with sap sipper, but other than that those are some nice builds, gonna build a goodra and also milotic can be a viable option with its special bulk. Manaphy is also ready for the raid tomorrow.
