You forgot to mention that Toad can also target itself when returning a water monster to the hand, meaning it has built in recursion so you can summon it again on your next turn. And of course this effect is also not OPT for some reason.
@@MattAnd Returning Toad to the Extra Deck and then summoning it again with Bahumut Shark on the next turn is something I did with Marincess in Master Duel if the opportunity arose. With Aqua Argonaut I could then return Shark to the Extra Deck to bounce an opposing card since Shark can't attack the turn it uses its effect anyway.
I legit don't understand how people can still complain about Toad when entirely broken archetypes are released every week. I guess that's "meme" culture for you.
@@catisreckless4647 it's probably because toads have existed for such a long time and can still rival current meta decks because Konami decides they get to have the best cards (while other archetypes suffer with mediocre cards). Remember, they were once the most consistent FTK decks in YuGiOh's history.
Any deck that could get two level 4 Water monsters on the field had access to Toad through Bahamut Shark. Which is something I absolutely did with Marincess, but no longer can now that Toad is banned in Master Duel. Not a massive loss since I usually won without ever summoning Toad, but a loss all the same. At least I can swap out Bahamut Shark for Abyss Dweller.
@@ab14967 There something some asshole did to me the other day where they used Shark to cheat out some other Rank 3 that ranked up into another Rank 4, which were both used to go into Utopic Future, and then into Draco Future.
@@melvinshine9841 thats literally the other half of the payoff for Shark Rank 4 spam deck tho. If you're lucky you can get Toad, Kragen, and Draco Future in one turn
Just recently found your channel and have been binge watching your videos from like 4 years ago. I love seeing that you’re still consistently uploading today, such a good, intelligent and dedicated creator. You’re content has helped me to re-find my love for YuGiOh, that I had lost from back when I was a kid.
@@drakofox1362 nope. All of them. I played Paleo frogs and had made that mistake a couple of times. The text goes "This card is unaffected by other monsters effects." So yeah
Finally, Mr. Logs is back to the Top 10 section! Request: Top 10 monsters that do hand rip (discard, shuffle to the deck, spin (top deck or bottom) banish or send to GY)
I was playing master duel using my weather painter deck, i legit thought that sky cavalry centaurea was rank 3, i never summon it, i usually use it just for pot fodder, but i put it on my extra deck because i thought i could summon it when i need it, i guess i have to search for other rank 3 monster lol Edit : i realized it is rank 2 after read the thumbnail and title of this vid
I'd like to think this video is a eulogy to Toad's ban on Master Duel. When Konami decided MD needs to be its own format, I was hoping the core mechanics would take the TCG into consideration as well, rather than just be OCG with a custom ban list and card release pool. Yes, I'm huffing huge amounts of copium just so I can get Toad back, why?
The TREAT TOAD was way ahead of its time. Being able to not just negate cards but also STEAL them with its effect was insane. And it could even pull a Pankratops and use itself as a tribute target for that effect to avoid targeted negation. The soft once per turn was a bit difficult to abuse at limit 1 but the potential was always there with the existence of revival traps, and the ability to return itself to the extra deck as a target for its floating effect that "returns to hand"(similar to how DPE could choose to revive itself OR any other Destiny HERO monster), allowing you to make another one right away if you have the required materials on the field already. It also has a Standby Phase effect to spawn more frogs from the deck to make doing that easier, especially if you can set up a Dupe Lock beforehand.
Top 10 Synchro Tuners Top 10 Cards That Send Opponents Cards From The Field To The Graveyard Top 10 Extra Deck Pendulum Monsters Top 10 Worst Continuous Spell Cards Top 10 MTG Effects That Couldn't Exist In Yugioh Top 10 Searchers That Only Search A Specific Named Card
Top 10 MTG Effects That Couldn't Exist In Yugioh would be cool although i think the top of the list would have to be either the ability to control another player emrakul style or taking extra turns. with yugiohs lack of a land system i think 1 trigger of either of those would probably win you the game.
Paleozoic cards are unaffected by ANY other monster effects. That includes cat shark. So you can't actually use cat shark on your paleozoic anomalocaris unless you're just burning an effect on nothing.
in MD we never got Sprites with Toadly awesome, however we never got Spright Elf banned. Fair trade of? perhaps, but I would have liked to try it with both in play.
What about a top 10 best/worst xyz monsters? Not just rank 2 monsters? You could also make a top 10 number xyz monsters and a top 10 non number xyz monsters
@@vxicepickxv well wasn’t snake rain already part of an archetype? Like I’m talking about decent engines that are a “spell book of judgement” away from being banned
The ban toadally awesome have kill spright capability to become tier 1 deck. The only way your can play once spright out is spright runick. For Mannequin cat. The best target for light and dark vanity fiend, light is either vanity ruler or majesty fiend. For wind your can go spell canceler but it is the hardest since wind atribute is not popular.
I love Djinn Buster & C65. The design was so edgy and cool. And it plays like a discount 6-negate-board deck in the sense that if you get 2 or 3 of them on the field (surprisingly easy) you have interaction without being oppressively and unfun like Mecha-Phantom-Knights-Deskbot-Knightmare-Borrel-Synchron-Dragon-Link decks.
Wait...as someone who watched the entire subbed zexal anime, i could have sworn dark mist was the boss of the malicevorus archetype. Although they can make both dark mist and djinn buster so...i guess it doesn't matter either way.
don't know how well of a strategy it is because i rarely only play agent my friend, but i use number 29 in a zombie deck with zombie world and it annoys him when he uses his ghoti or cyber dragon deck
0:58-1:20 I have a question. Anomalocaris' effect states "This card is uneffected by other monsters effects". How is it possible for Cat Shark to double its attack can you explain? Please
No Sandayu? This is my favorit rank-2 Xyz in the game. . Anyway, you cannot boost any Paleo Xyz with Cat Shark, because Paleo is unaffected by monster effect, including yours. I try to boost Paleo Xyz once in MD, and I'm looks stupid because it can't.
Man, the comment about Spright Elf became very outdated today... For reference, if anyone has seen the new banlist, it got hit hard. Not as hard as Tearlaments tho, RIP that deck. Also, Yata is back in the game, be ready for some dumb strat with it
