@@joeeley5354 NH doesn't use as much road salt anymore, I think it is a mixture of various things. The best way to prevent damage if you buy a new vehicle is to have it oil undercoated. That prevents a lot of damage.

Yeah I lived in the Tampa area and I also lived in South Beach for a moment in time when I was younger and the school's down there were awful. When I moved in none of my teachers attempted to help me because they were basically there for a paycheck and to make sure that FCAT scores were good. 😩 I made straight A's in Illinois but when I got down to Florida my grades tanked because none of my teachers were helping me.

@@flamesniper126 yeah I miss ohio where I was born. I moved down here when I was young so I'm technically more floridian than anything but I've always hated the weather here. It's too much. At least in snow you can bundle up. In fl if you can't afford AC you are screwed. There is no escaping the heat.

I grew up in FL and never adjusted to that heat, I legit suffered being outside its too much. Now moved with my family to MA last November and I thrived in the winter and I could actually be outside and I loved all the snow we got, I’m definitely a cold weather person lol

this tends to be the most common response ive seen from native NH residents. As far as the state being bad for "young people" or "boring", i dont feel like that is a huge issue since youre in relative close driving distance to larger cities outside the state. Similar to living in New Jersey where Philly and NY are only an hour or 2 away

Allow me to chime in as I just came back from a Colorado trip for the same curiosity. It's nice, but it's the same price as Maryland for NONE of the cleanliness. Not trash or anything, I mean, there's dust and it's grimy looking. There's great national parks nearby - Pikes Peak was AWESOME - but I really dont see the appeal for how expensive it is. I am very excited to go discover Utah though on the other hand, though I hear the Californians are destroying it politically. Tough world, but I do think Colorado is very overrated.

@@williebowen2965 Maybe in the sense that it has a lot of hunting and fishing and other outdoor activities. As far as weather goes they aren't very similar. A lot of Alaska is far more mild because of the ocean. The summer temps are much higher in Minnesota. There are times when we are the hottest place in the US, for the same reason we get extreme cold...the jetstream causes air from Canada to dip down into MN. But by comparison the Dakotas and Wisconsin have very similar weather. We also get similar snowfall to our neighboring states, and the amount goes up as you head east because of the Great Lakes. The last 5 years or so, the East Coast gets a lot more storms and snow than we do. As we speak it is 54 degree here. It's the same temp in So Cal and we are warmer than Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Georgia, which are in the low 50s and down in the 40s.

I've always lived in the DMV. I've lived in D.C, Florida, Maryland, Virginia Beach, Fairfax, and now I live in Bristow VA.

I realize places can undergo change but sometimes even changes that are made aren’t enough to really make a place feel better or worse from the time in which you were in those places.

@@matthewmajestic1013 Jus a lil background on me, I lived in D.C as a baby, moved to Maryland for a year, Florida for a couple months and moved to VA beach and lived there for 8 years (whilst moving a couple times). I guess you could technically say I "grew up there" but since I'm not an adult yet, I say I lived there when I was young. I moved to Fairfax when I was 11 and I lived there for 4 1/2 years. I loved northern Va. Sadly, I moved to Bristow VA (still technically northern Va tho) 5 months ago and it much cheaper and quieter here. Bristow is a suburb and Fairfax is very urban. In Fairfax, I lived in a very small, very crappy apartment on the 3rd floor and it was expensive asf bc the metro was within walking distance. Despite the shitty home, I loved the area and made a lot of friends there. Based on that, I'd say I'd want to go back to Fairfax. The only reason I wouldn't say VA beach is bc I don't remember it well. I was 3-11 years old and it was 5 years ago now. If I was a teenager living in va beach, I'd probably have a much fonder memory lol. Va beach and Fairfax are both very nice areas but Fairfax is expensive cuz of D.C. I don't remember Florida or D.C much bc i was younger than 3, but I visit family members who live in d.c and I love that city.

Virginian here. I agree. It really depends on where you live. Richmond is known to be cheap with high crime. I live in DMV (dc Maryland Virginia) metropolitan area and a single home averages $700,000. It’s insane.
