Only negative I have for living in NJ is the property tax - super high. Other than that we get the best of NY and PA on either side (NYC and Philly) plus the Jersey Shore. We have two, TWO NFL teams, one NHL team, and an NBA team - all easy to get to (assuming you can afford the tickets). One of the most diverse states in the country, LGBTQ friendly, and weed is legal too (I'm more of a beer drinker personally).
I don't know if any of these states is overcrowded. Outside of major cities on the edges of these respective states there are huge stretches where you don't see much of anything.

How states rank depends on who it is giving them the score. So I call this BS , I have lived many places and travel alot. I would have yo ssy thst FL is the most corrupt state with the most scammers . I know , I have lived in FL for nearly 40 years , not my choice . I will finally soon be moving

What a joke! Based on what source ur ranking this?.. srilanka is better than India?.. and few arab countries your talking about by nature they have rich natural resources . Singapore, uae, maldives, quatar like this countires…all this countries they are just five small cities compared with India in area and population. And india is the country looted by British colonialism for centuries… all they’ve left poverty…still with such illiteracy and highly population we became fifth largest economy in the world… yet your saying it is 36th country in Asia…. As a Montrealer, I think it’s a really good city but now that the government is raising the school prices by a tonne for out of province students it’s not a great place to go to school of you don’t live in Quebec.
I thought ohio’s pretty under crowded since its urban population is split into mostly 3 different cities. I think a better measure would be how concentrated & urbanized a population is.
Of the ones I’ve been too… 6. Vancouver 5. Ottawa 4. Montreal 3. Edmonton 2. Toronto (although it was mostly Markham) 1. Calgary Edmonton in its current state might actually rank lower, I find it more disappointing every time I go there. And honestly, I’d just rather never live in a city again, I like the Canadian countryside much better.

I'm surprised you didn't recommend Puna. It's affordable, close to the coast and you get to know your neighbors and the community real quick. Pahoa is nice too. Kalihi valley is a great place as well. Hahaha Good luck to moving to #1 on your list.
