Harper’s 2012 Topps Archives SP #241 is a fantastic one as well I finally acquired one for my Harper PC 🎉

The refractor Topps rookie non-numbered and Gold Sparkle Update non-numbered are amazing. Not essential to have numbered if you can find high graded copies of these. Very beautiful in-person and much more eye appeal than blue, red or other colored numbered cards.

I went to no bounds acquiring his chrome on card 2012 with bold solid on card auto RC’s graded a gem minimum and Superfractors in that grade as well

My favorite Harper cards are his 2008 Upper Deck Team USA 16U autos, his very first cards. There are two different types - "In His Own Words" /5 and "Jersey Patch Autos" /50. PSA has only graded one (1) of either type whereas BGS has graded two (2) "In His Own Words" and 16 JPAs, so they are arguably as rare as the #1 card in your video. Fun fact, Harper was still listed as only a catcher. I have a JPA, but the "Words" is beyond my pay grade.

Harper is what brought me back into hobby. I collect his RCs but one not mentioned is his five star RC. base is /80 and couple auto versions which i have. finding a bold auto on any RC is tougher as well. Also his base sterling is SP for that year. all RCs are SP i believe so finding a refractor is normally easier than base

Thanks for commenting! Yeah, Five Star is an interesting set. It seemed popular in the early 2010s, and featured on card autos. Mookie has some nice ones, too. It has since kind of fallen out of favor/gets less respect than one would think it should.

Yea his 2012 Five Star /80 is Harpers rarest rookie card to have a serial number. You might see a few pop up for sale each year if you are lucky. Super rare card.

@@swizzle1199 do you mean for a base card? He’s got cards in topps chrome #/10, 25, 50. Bowman chrome has some lower parallels too.

Love the videos! Harper is my favorite player. I have his base 2011 bowman chrome auto. I’d like to get a refractor or a numbered but they are a bit out of my price range. Do you think his base will still be desirable in the future?

I like the gold sparkle, but there’s just no history with it. The chrome black refractor is a badass card. Looks great! I wish topps would bring those back (and less lava 🤮🤮)

@@Blabbin_Bout_Slabbin no history with it? What does that even mean? It’s a beautiful looking card if you can hold it in person. I have a PSA 10 and it’s probably to coolest looking Bryce RC in my collection and I have almost all of them.

@@bruiserbong4001 Jeff here: Chris just meant that the Gold Sparkle variation sadly wasn't around for very long. People tend to value higher those parallels that have an established history, like flagship Black or Gold Chrome. But there is no doubt those sparkles look great. Wish they'd bring them back!

Great list, I have the Heritage rookie and the 661 Red Helmet SP. That Topps Chrome SSP, is a grail card I would love to own one day, if I can ever find one to buy.

Confused, he says Harper’s flagship rc was printed way more then acunas bat down, but psa has over 2000 of acunas bat down graded while the Harper 661 only has 300 graded by psa. Was that an error on his part?

Another key in acquiring early Harper autos is being patient to acquire ones that are solid bold intact autos a majority of his are streaky inconsistent besides an overall gem grade the auto was a very important factor in putting together my collection

The blue is a beautiful card! And lots of history with blue refractors. The black also looks great. I wish topps would go back to black refractors. If you can find a nice centered Blue - go for it!! 🍻🍻

Great job guys - My list would have included his 1st bowman chrome refractors (2010 Bowman Chrome) because of a great point you guys made. Phillies fans dont want him in a Nationals uniform. We can all get behind the red/white/blue right? The Lucky Redemption Auto's out of 100 would have been the other. I think maybe 50 (ish) have been graded.

Thanks for watching, man! And right there with you on the Lucky Redemption. Often overlooked, it is the only real sticker auto baseball card in my collection. Sad that Harper didn’t get his ring this year, but he definitely added to his individual postseason legacy.

Wouldn't Bryce Harper's first Topps certified autographed card be his 2009 Bowman AFLAC?

Chris here - freeman has an Aflac auto as well and I just haven’t seen that card generate anything close to the interest and attention that the 2009 Bowman chrome auto gets. It’s kind of a novelty card for both players more than anything. Maybe fun to collect but the masses are not interested. I think you can also get Harper’s 2009 Upper Deck autos for less than $200. First Bowman Chrome autos for the win! The hobby has spoken.

Oh and the reason may be that collectors want the first auto of a player in a professional uniform. Not team USA autos. Even if the image is photoshopped. Thanks for watching!

@@Blabbin_Bout_Slabbin Thanks for responding. I guess the 2010 Bowman Chrome Buyback Auto is Harper's first Bowman CHROME auto, but not his earliest Bowman auto.

@@markmccleary7276 correct! That buyback is kind of a ghost. And not many collectors even know about it. The 2011 is essentially Harper’s most sought after bowman chrome auto.
