Argatha was being created by Frédérick Raynal, the creator of the original Alone in the Dark (1992) the first ever survival horror, which the original Resident Evil took many ideas from '(moreso than Sweet Home). He details the circumstances of the development and the cancellation of Argatha in a French interview I've seen long ago. Fun fact: Frédérick Raynal was also born near my hometown.

i actually did a deep dive into the Silent Hills game recently and it was saying that it will be coming out at some point in the near future on a website talking about the game but of course i know that is just speculation until i see any physical evidence of it releasing but fingers crossed it does actually come out

Man when I heard that Allison Road was getting canceled I was so upset! In terms of their environment it was very P.T. inspired & looked like it had it's own intriguing story. The only game that I think captured that P.T. vibe is Visage.

Kind of off topic, but VR brings so much more feelings to horror games and should be more focused.

I am sad that I will probably NEVER experience PT since I didn't have a PS4 at that time. The blackfog in this Black Death game reminds me a lot of the smoke creature in LOST.

Ugh Silent Hills is still a tough pill to swallow! Silent Hill 2 remake and MG3 are Konami's last chance for me, or I'm done forever with them!

Honestly I'm not a huge fan of PT, just because of what it's done to Resident Evil since Capcom gave up being a trendsetter with Re7. Given that Kojima is famously both not a very good writer and also massively up his own ass, I don't think Silent Hills could've had much chance to be a good game, though given what Konami had done with the series by that point I guess it can't have been much worse than what they'd already turned in. Redwood Falls looks the most interesting of anything here, but good Lord, does it look janky (if you watch him "reload" the shotgun, for instance, you can actually see the shell miss the loading gate entirely and just fall to the ground; how do you even manage that?). I'm looking forward to Dread Dawn and Echoes of the Living; both of them are indie survival horror games which seem to be taking a fair number of cues from Resident Evil 2 and 3, which is something I'm always down for.
