i too thought 11 episodes of filler was bad. then i started watching naruto, and there is literally an 80-episode filler arc.

I swear The voice acting, music and sound effects are done so well in DBZ abridged that there were times when I seriously forgot I was watching the abridged version.

I'm surprised by episode 36, I would have expected episode 38 As fun as Vegeta is to watch when he's winning, he's even more fun to watch when he's losing

I love episode *33. The death of Freeza, Bulma hitting on Trunks and his internal screaming, I’ve never laughed at DBZA more.

So I was 12 when abridged series started, makes sense. I got obsessed with Dbza in 2009 and made a facebook page as Dende and got really into the dbz Facebook community. Got around 15,000 followers and watched new episodes with my "fan base." Learned photoshop to make my own version of Dende. DBZA really made my high school nights fun.

Episode 60 was worth the wait. It brought me to tears and laughter in all 3 parts. It is a monument and a love letter to dbz and reminded me of why I loved this portion of dragon ball so much.

So, I appreciate DBZ in a very strange way. I've never actually watched it. Played the games, watched Abridged, even watched Super, but never have I actually sat down and watched the original Dragon Ball Z, anime or otherwise. The original, TFS-made scene in episode 56 is something I just thought was in the show. That's how well it fits. They nailed that so perfectly that I, a first-time viewer didn't even realize it was added in. I appreciate the episode much more now, knowing that.

This comes quite a long time later since the release of this video. And this comment is relevant towards it. Episode 60 was the end of DBZA, and they went out with a bang. As of this comment, TeamFourStar have officially announced they are done abridging DBZ. There will be no more episodes after episode 60. They went out right, and honestly at a time that quite a lot of people speculated at the time when Dragonball would've ended, before they surprised us with Buu later. We dont know if the same can be said for the Abridged Series. But the episodes you mentioned, yes are one of the most iconic. Especially number 60 which everyone could notice it was number 1, because they're so many reasons as to why that should be the case. 1: Stunning soundtrack 2: Super Sayian 2 Gohan. They did it justice, seriously. 3: It was a conclusion to one of the best arcs for DBZ in general, and honestly they couldn't have ended it at a better spot. I think I speak for a lot of people, when I say im happy they decided to end it after having finished the Cell Saga, instead of having stopped it midway and not finishing. This gives it a satisfying conclusion overall.

DBZA is not just a parody but a whole other show and I consider it better than any dub we've gotten for sure.

Super Kami Guru will always be my favorite character.

16’s backstory is the most heartbreaking scene in anime and abridged. They really did a great job there just putting that emotional scene that the anime didn’t have.

I don't even see this as an abridged series, i see it as an amazing anime adaptation of a manga I LOVED. I saw DBZA before I tried sitting through Toei's adaptation. As a lover of the Dragonball manga (I couldn't stand the anime) I must say, the writing was perfect!

One of my favorite things with episode 60 is it genuinely made me care for Goku where I didn’t really care form him before. And not only that I have to thank TeamFourStar personally for doing something I never thought was possible. Making me experience Dragon Ball Z for the first time again...

Episode 60 is a legend in my eyes It's the sun during the darkest night It's the fire in the middle of the ocean It will always be my favorite episode from DBZA!

Cell ends off the series the same way he was introduced, by singing. But not only was he singing in his final moments, he was telling us what TFS was doing with dragon ball Z, they did it their way

My single favorite one-liner/exchange in the entirety of DBZA probably has to be during the Piccolo-Lapis fight. Android 16: "He has fused with Kami!" Android 17: "Seriously, what the hell's a kami?" Piccolo: "It means God, now bow." Literally cooler than anything in the main series.

Episode 60 is #1 for the whole "My baby boy!" scene, absolutely loved it and it was done perfectly.

Dbza is one of the best abridged series out there. it even improved some parts of the series.

Dat disclaimer though. 60, 52, 48, 42, & 30 are my Favorite Episodes and I can't put them in order

Would you from four years ago have possibly believed that YOU would end up being the one that facilitates TFS's return to DBZA (albeit in the form of bite-sized Buu Bits) and reignited so much joy in so many fans?

Ep. 44 is one of the best episodes that no one seems to talk about. You have the East City westmen, peak Imperfect Cell, and the introduction/deaths of TJ and the Wombat!

I literally grew up with DBZA I was 10 years old when the first episode came out. It helped me through middle school, high school, AND college with its humor and storytelling. Yes I know it was a parody but as someone who's seen all the incarnations TFS DBZA holds a very special place in my heart. The humor often at times had me dying of laughter. I felt something for the non essential characters like yajirobe and korin. I loved Android 13(Wheres my trucker hat) and that story arc with 16 blew my mind. I'm a grown man and I can admit that just like when ERB ended I cried how can something that had so much impact in my life just come to an end. Thankfully both ERB and DBZA are making a comeback and the little kid inside me is ecstatic. I understand that at some point this will end for real but right now I'm not ready to say goodbye. For 11 years this show has brought me happiness and laughter and for that I thank TFS from the bottom of my heart.

Okay, THIS is epic. Nah, but TFS DBZ:A is amazing and I love it so much. I'm glad they're putting out a season 4. I can't wait, dude. Also, your channel is really fun to watch, too. Keep it up, my guy.

DBZA has basically became my The Office. Stumble across any of the episodes through recommendations and I end up watching through all it again and again.

Man episode 36 was my favoritke, I showed it to friends who had never seen dbza, must have watched it 9001 times

You know the Big Three always get tons of kudos for their hard work, and the overwhelming number of characters they voice, and the writing and everything else great they do. But for real guys, Gan is amazing. He isn't nearly as prolific in his voice work, but he is always on point in every scene he's in and his Tien had been epic

That intro alone might have just sold me on this channel. I'm impressed.

I know that this is an older video now, but having recently rewatched hte entire series, I wasnted to add my energy to this little spirit bomb. That intangible thing you mentioned, I think I felt it right at the end of hte episode introducing Cell with MR Sandman. I remember feeling legitimately tense, anxious, and craving the payoff to the build up. It was the first time I remember wanting to watch it the same way I watched FMA or GitS back when I was just getting into anime. It had my full attention for more than just hte humor. I was fully engaged, and I remained so for the rest of hte series. That, to me, will always be where I feel the series really elevated bast the source material to be more than jsut an awesome abridged series, but to be a real contender with the original show. And of course, episode 60 just gave me chills on top of chills. But even in Episode 50, with Vegeta WAILING on Cell, I was rooting for him the same way I did as a kid. Not just because it was funny, but becuase I was legit PUMPED to see this fight go down!. Even before that with Piccolo "it means god now bow" vs 17, and 16 "WALK TOWARDS IT" vs Cell... I am getting hyped all over again just thinking about those fights. It legitimately makes my entire body vibrate with hte same passion I had as a new fan. There is nothing else I can say to describe jsut what that feels like to find again after having thoguht that I had "acclimated" to anime and lost that "new car smell" feeling, ya know? It might not be hte video for it, but Thank you Team Four Star for hte new news literally dripping down my face jsut over remembering the way your show makes me feel, and thank you TotallyNotMark for giving me a reason to think about just which episodes and scenes really made me love this series.
