For Droplet, you can take advantage of it being Quick-play, too, and chain it to cards from your field that's going to be sent to the GY anyway, like Normal Spells and Traps.

Want to bring up an idea I suggested before, about the Top 10 Cards introduced in each era. So the Top 10 cards introduced from Legend of the Blue-Eyes White Dragon to Flaming Eternity (DM Era) Top 10 cards introduced from The Lost Millennium to Light of Destruction (GX Era) Etc. Etc.

Good to note with droplet, you can activate a lightning storm for example, chain droplet and send the on field lightning storm as it's cost

Here's a suggestion: Top 10 strangest kind of removal, like the one of the Fiend Megacyber retrain which turns a monster into a continuous trap. Another idea is top 10 forgotten side effects, like the other two effects of Number 38 or the mill effect of Zombie Goblin

For Pankratops, tributing itself to destroy a card on the field is set as a condition, which means a card like Zoodiac Drident can’t target it on the field since Pankratops would already be in the grave. So you can pop cards like Drident without having to worry about cards that pop/bounce/negate cards on the field, unless your opponent have a Called by the Grave set. So you don’t have to enter battle phase to chain the pop effect. This happened in a match on Master duel during XYZ event and Drident couldn’t chain his effect since I had no other cards on my field.

Cool video! I really liked the inclusion of suggestions of cards that are similar to ones on the list which are banned or limited. I have a suggestion for a list: Top Ten Gardna cards. There are a bunch of different ones, including even some archetype specific ones, and I think it would be interesting to rank them.

Super poly and kaiju are my only outs for herald of upltimateness.I used evenly matched to make my opponent banish all his Eldlich trap cards and keep one Golden lord who was easy to deal.

You've mentioned that Evenly Matched whipes your opponent's "entire board" a few times on here. But they do get to keep one of their cards from the effect, since you still have Evenly Matched on the field when the card is resolving.

I have legit never encountered Forbidden Droplet in MD

WELL ACTUALLY Dark Ruler No More can be negated by Hot Red, the opp just need to chain another spell/trap to Dark Ruler. Then, since Hot Red is responding to your spell/trap and not to Dark Ruler No More, it can target Dark Ruler and negate.

I would love a video on the evolution of blue eyes and the possibility of new fusions, rituals or even links to help keep it in the meta

I enjoy your videos in that they make the game accessible for casual players. I play a lot of different tcgs and I play them all quite casually, and YGO fell completely off my radar when pendulums came out. But between your videos, Duel Links, and Master Duel I've begun playing it again casually. I am also a brewer, which means that its very hard for me to cold turkey in to a card game without knowing a lot. Fine with Magic, FFTCG, Pokemon, HS, and LoR which aren't overly complicated in deck building and much more about piloting, but very hard for YGO where the deck build is more of the game than actually playing it. YGO is actually the only popular paper TCG that I haven't played at at least a national level. (I would say anything under international is probably pretty casual, which I've only done with Pokemon) I just wanted to say that your content which as you mentioned isn't really for YGO players, is definitely something I enjoy, and I love both the format and the explanations. It is incredibly accessible. On that note, given how similar YGO and FFTCG are in their field setups, despite it not being a super popular game. Your card eval streams and videos would be very interesting for an FFTCG or a Legends of Runeterra go at it.

Your videos are so helpful. I think it helps out think of better combos and stragties to better play the game. Also good to know what cards can still be played in Master Duels. Speaking of Master Duels, the game seems pretty good and you have better chances getting good cards. Also the new structure deck helps with new cards for other kinds of decks. Although right now, trying to figure out a good XYZ deck for the current event...

Gamma and Lancea go up a tier in MD since they protect your turn 1 Maxx C from ash, called by, and crossout while still holding some standalone use. Belle also gets an honorable mention.

Great video, very informative for new players. For this reason I would be more careful when talking about cards that negate effects when they actually negate activations, like bell or red reboot. Other than that, amazing, keep up the good work!

I recently made a pretty damn Photon deck in Master Duel, and, it allowed me to play through Maxx “C” pretty reliably. Only time I messed up was when I popped my AA-Zeus’s effect took early in the opponent’s combo.

Shifter and Droll are pretty good going second cards too

This actually convinced me to make my Spyral deck a going 2nd deck so I'll have more draw and destruction power

Hey, Duel Logs, how did you get those cool background animations for your videos? Are they custom made?

I wonder if you can use threatening roar at the beginning of the battle phase and then evenly matched?

I like all of the ones that mess with my opponent's board, but my favorite is Super Polymerization. My favorite thing to do with Super Polymerization is to use my opponent's tokens to go into First of the Dragons. It stops their combos and gives me a monster effect immune wall. It's hilarious.

Another cool trick with Forbidden Droplet, You can chain it with your activated monster effect by sending them to the GY, that way you can bypass some of the floodgate that has keywords "while face-up on-field" for example: "Skill Drain". You can activate AA-Zeus then chain Forbidden Droplet to it then Zeus can resolve its effect while in the GY, bypassing Skill Drain. Also, another card worth mentioning is Triple Tactics since that card won me many games.

You can also chain pankratops effect to Apollousa's negate to destroy it and prevent its negation from going through since it needs to subtract 800 attack points to let the effect go through. One of the reasons ghost ogre is good too

I like that Maxx C and Gamma have the #10 spots in this list because even though they’re some of the best cards on the game, you use them before your turn starts, and the idea of this video is to list the best cards that you can actually use in your second turn.

I always love the lists that he makes, however a third of the spots were filled by hand-trap esque monsters like Nibiru or Psy-Frame Gamma, and I would love to see a list that is purely cards that you activate during your turn as a going 2nd player, like Pankratops (which was on this list) or Lightning Storm. Also some of the other spots were filled by quick-plays that see play because of their quick-play status instead of just going 2nd power, like Droplet or Super Poly vs. Dark Ruler. Again, I love your videos TheDuelLogs, your one of my favorite youtubers, I've been a fan for at least 5 years and I learned about so many cards thanks to these lists, I just was hoping to see thinks more to the lines of Pankratops and Lightning Storm for all of the spots. Is there enough cards to make a top 10 cards that can bypass spell speed 4? I remember this clip where super poly was negated due to Magician's Right Hand so it got me wondering.

My experience with Maxx "C" in Master Duel is interesting. In that, it's an excellent probe: If I draw it in my opening hand, I can be certain that my opponent either has Called by the Grave in their opening hand, or they're playing True Draco/Eldlich. Very helpful.

Great list though I think Sphere Mode, Lava Golem, and the Kaiju's should have all shared the tribute summon spot.

8:33 if you have red hot dragon archfiend abyss you can just activate any spell or trap card then activate red hot effect because it target a card on the field

Pankratops alternative I usually use would be Ancient Warriors Loyal Guan Yun since he could summon himself but only when your opponent is the only one that control monsters. His second effect is to target and destroy one of the opponent's monster but it can only activate if your opponent control more monster than you do and it is spell speed 1 which is why isn't that good compared to Pankratops. But I think the summon effect is a pretty good that if he is bounced back into your hands you could just re-summon him again because his first effect isn't once per turn. Also that magnificent beard.

i just realised sphere mode summon is a tribute summon and not a special summon. so can you go around vanity and krystia and with nibiru, kaiju and golem you cant, right?

Max C had three major weaknesses in the era I played. First of all, any very good synchro deck could run you out of cards with the amount of special summons they did. Second of all, exodia decks were still a thing. The third weakness, was field loops of infinite summons like the manticore of darkness side deck option. If you avoided all those, Max C was a good hand trap.

Can you make top ten archetype-specific fusion cards?

I work at a bakery and one of our ovens is called "C Maxx" and because of your videos, now every time I see it I think "play this card to go +1 in bread advantage"

You could chain forbidden droplet to lightning storm or any spell that already activate on the field and send those to save some card since those card gonna go to the graveyard after they resolve and doesn’t need to be on the field for their effect

What makes Droplet so good is that you can send cards that are marked to be sent to the graveyard, so for example if you activate Lightning Storm and your opponent negates it, you can chain Droplet and sent the Lightning Storm that's face up on your field as cost, basically getting 1 negate for free. You can also do this with monsters to avoid targeting effects, so your monster effects will go through because on resolution, the monster is no longer on the field and your opponent's card misses its target but you still get your monster effect off and get a free negate in the process.

What about triple tactics talent? Or is it rather a going first card?

you forgot to mention forbidden droplet also allows you to send a normal spell/trap that was activated in a chain link below droplet itself, aleviating the cost of sending cards by sending cards that would be sent anyway after resolving, which makes droplet even more valuable and well-designed. Imagine a scenario in which opponent has Dragoon, Red Dragon Archfiend Abyss, Savage Dragon and [insert another negate] Chain Link 1: Raigeki Chain Link 2: Abyss Chain Link 3: Droplet sending both Raigeki and a random monster to prevent a monster from negating it. Resolution: CL3: Negate Dragoon and Savage/other negate. CL2: Abyss cant resolve cuz Raigeki was sent to grave (it targets the card it negates) CL1: Dodge their negates and destroy their monsters with only a -2 from droplet and the natural -1 from raigeki

Good vid, not sure if you've done one but you should do a video on budget alternatives to staple cards like how forbidden chalice is a decent budget alternative to droplet.

The computer in a lot of Yu-Gi-Oh video games is really good at playing around Wing Dragon of Ra sphere mode

Dark ruler also has a problem with the level 9 synchro archfiend. Bc if you have a generic trap or a quick spell you can chain it and then negate drnm with the archfiend effect.
