Oh my gosh!! This is BY FAR the BEST highlight video I've found for myself personally, because I have pale skin like you. When I checked to see your favorites, I already owned some of them and they were also my favorites! (For example the Nars, NYX and Becca one) Therefore, I knew for a fact that the others would be perfect picks for my skin tone. I was also excited to see you had the Nars and the NYX ones so high up in your picks, because those are ones that I really love and I was looking for a nice cool toned pink highlighter. Now I HAVE to go grab monster! Thank you so much. :)
This was such a well put together review. Really appreciated the prices and grams. That helped SO much. Mary-loumanizer is my life!!! But I'm majorly addicted to highlighters. I can't wait for Jeffree Star's to launch!!! Thanks for this video.
+Twiggy Vittoria Also Monster from Colourpop totally reminds me of the eyeshadow Phantom from MakeupGeek. So if you don't have that, I feel like you'd LOVE it. :)
+Amy Campbell go to The Body Shop and try their Honey Bronzer matte powder in shade 01 (for pink undertones) or shade 2 (for yellow undertones). Or if there is an Inglot store near you, check out their pressed powder in shade 24 (mixed colors), it's soft and subtle, good for all undertones, and it's alot lighter than Milk Chocolate...here's a picture: img.makeupalley.com/6/6/0/5/2733554.PNG If you're looking for contour powders for super-pale skin they have excellent ones too.
I absolutely love the way you filmed this. Sometimes videos like this can get boring for me. You swatched everything beautifully, gave us a great demo and explained which product had what tones. And thank you for the reference idea at the end! Definitely picking up a new highlighter
+Emily Kochanski This makes me so happy to read because I put a lot of work into making this video what it is. Thank you for noticing and for watching girl, it means the world!
This video is so aesthetically pleasing! I have Mary Lou Manizer and i love it. Im pretty pale but its not too dark on me. I dont wear foundation daily (bc acne) and i think it would last longer on a foundation base. Sometimes i use Smashbox Under eye primer and it seems to stay longer on that. Love your video 💕
I seriously loveeee all the highlighters ya mentioned! I have so many favorite highlighters! You should try the makeup forever pro sculpting duo in 1 if ya like highlights like colourpops monster! Also a cheaper option that's like the mufe pro sculpting duo is the NYX prismatic shadow in girl talk :) frostbite from the NYX prismatic line is also a pretty highlighter for pale skin. Anyway, loved seeing your favs!
The NYX Illuminator Born To Glow [the color you swatched is called Sunbeam!] is amazing if you mix it with your foundation! I do that to really give my face an all over dewy finish and illuminated look. I also do the same thing with it in the color Gleam, which is a more bronzed color, to give my face an all over bronzy dewy finish!
this was soooo helpful for me! can you please do some more pale skin related makeup videos because as someone with super pale skin I find it hard to find makeup that actually suits me. thank you for doing this helpful video x
YESSSS I have been waiting for someone to make a video like this!! I have a mac voucher and have heard that nylon eyeshadow pan also makes a great highlight for pale skin. Has anyone tried it? I can't decide whether to get that or vanilla pigment! :)
+sophdoesnails i love nylon as a highlight! easier to use than a pigment and it still looks unreal and shows up well! Im the shade siberia in nars, so if it shows on my skin, it'll work for anyone haha
One year late...but YES Nylon is amazing, and I highly recommend it, especially for fair skin with neutral underrtones or warm undertones. It's white with golden undertones...imagine a shade between Becca Pearl and Becca Moonstone, but with more intensity and more pigment. I love using Nylon on my upper cheekbone, brow bone and inner eye corner, and then use Moonstone on the arc of my cheek, nose and chin.
This is the best video I’ve found on highlights for fair skin! I really appreciated the tones, prices and grams etc... and that you swatched them on your face! Thx ❤️
great video format! I loved that you actually applied the product for us to see. and the way you listed out the facts for each product was really helpful and clear too
This video is EXTREMELY helpful, thank you!!! I only wish that you had included Jeffree Star's Ice Cold, I would have loved to see it swatched compared to the others. Gonna go buy Monster now k thx bye!
Monster is my jam! Sometimes I pop it on top of a dull matte eye shadow to add a bit of pizzazz to my eyes. 💗 I've also been loving MUFE's Star Powder in 942 as a highlight. It's a bit lavender-y pink and it is gorgeous!
Mary-Lou Manizer is my absolute holy grail highlighter. I'm very yellow toned and pale, so it's perfect for me. I think the Cindy-Lou Manizer would look nice on you.
Praise 🙏🏻🙏🏻 you just save my life because I was stuck on what ColourPop highlights I wanted to buy! Not only that, but I've noticed an improvement on the quality of your content. I love it! Every video you put out is getting better and better, but you still remain your happy true self 💕 Keep up the amazing work! Ps. I'm in the Toronto area and I'd be so down to have a meet & greet with other subbies sometime in the summer 😎
Thank you so much for making this! I always see tan girls with perfect makeup and contour and esp a bronze highlight but you made me comfortable in my skin for a seconds becsuse you actually showed me how to use colors that look amazing on fair skin! I loved seeing the difference between the whiter, silver, gold and pink colors! This video really made my day & night! Thank you! Subscribing now ♡
Wow Tasha, this video was so well put together and was so informative as well! I'm very pale myself so I am excited to take loads of these recommendations on board!
this was so great, I am super pale and I've been wondering what highlighters to buy! i'd love to see a top 10 mascaras video, or top 10 concealers for pale skin! love you xoxo
LUFF this list. I'm actually obsessed with Becca's in Opal. I know it's a little bronze-y for us fair maidens, but it wears amazing! You should try it!!! My holy grail 🙌🏻
it's not sparkly, more of a sheen or glow, like glow from within, I do like to intensify it by putting a liquid highlighter underneath but deffo an everyday one!
NYX liquid illuminizer was my first ever highlight a few years ago, but I've only used it once and I hated it... This has made me want to try it it again! I was using my finger and I think that's probably why I hated the way it looked on me. Mary Lou is my holy grail now though - I have MAC Soft and Gentle and Becca and I still prefer Mary Lou 🙌🏻 it's soo beautiful!
Literally been waiting all day for a notification for your video uploads you are literally the greatest youtuber. Also I recommend becca "champagne pop" it works for literally all skin tones and types
This is the first video I've seen of yours and WOW I love this!! I think you're the first RU-vidr that I've found with pinker undertones as opposed to yellow. THANKS GIRL DEFINITELY SUBSCRIBING 💜
you look so beautiful with and without makeup! I'm one of the palest of the fairs (Nars siberia pale) and I like to use elf's baked highlighter in moonlight pearls and elf's cover sticker in spotlight, which is a creamy white subtle cream stick. Neither are very BABAM but i do like that subtle dew look.
Your hair, omg I love it!! I just took screenshot because it's so healthy looking and gorgeous tone. Also you have never looked so gorgeous wow😍😍😍 so jealous! Love you and your videos you always make me so happy❤️
Thank you for feeding into my obsession with Highlights!!! I have to run and grab atleast 5 of these NOW! I love your videos, your personality is such a delight
this is so helpful!!! will definitely be referring back to this for future purchases (CP fanny pack is my favorite highlight for my fair skin as of now)
Your videos are always so pleasing to look at. The editing you do, the fonts, colors, and such always flow so well. You definitely have an eye for design and marketing. :) this might be an odd comment but it's something I always notice!
wonderful review, thank you so much! just a quick tip though, maybe try keeping the highlight further up on your cheek bones and less on the apples of your cheeks! further down it makes your skin look oily and less glowy, but that's just me! makeup has no rules of course xx
I really do love the NYX illuminator. My skin is even paler than yours, but I'm pink hued as well. I don't use a lot of brushes and whatnot with my makeup, I prefer to use my fingers, so I just three very small dots on my cheek bones and dab with my finger.
That's it!! I'm getting my hands on that nyx one...*heart eyes* My favorite highlighter was lilac petal by elf. It was the most beautiful pinky glowy shade, and since it was a cream, it really sank into your skin and made you look like a shimmering fairy lol. It's discontinued now :( But that nyx one looks similar, I have to try
Great video! Several of my faves are definitely on your list👍👍. Others that I highly recommend for super fair skin are OFRA's You Glow Girl (pink undertoned collab w/ DupeThat; available in 2 sizes so smaller pan is drugstore-ish in price!); OFRA's Blush Stripes in Illuminating ;top half only; bottom half for darker skin or eyeshadow!); Physicians' Formula's Shimmer Strips Custom all-in-one Nude Palette in Natural (again top half only); & J Cat's TripleCrown Eyeshadow in Dulce de Leche (only $5-6!). Several of Essence's single shadows are excellent too, & only $3; Snowflake is a bear dupe for Becca Pearl! For a more natural glow Kevyn Aucoin's Candlelight & Essence's Pure Nude (looks a bit darker in the pan but b/c of its sheerness it works great.). My favorite cream highlights are Doll 10's H2OGlo & So Susan's Statement Skin Highlighting Crayon. I also adore one by Kryolin but it was a LE collab w/ Glossybox; I'm not sure if they have anything comparable now available.
Oooh love this! I've never really bothered with highlighters but with this vid I can actually see the difference they make so I might try one in future :D you're so lovely and informative! :)
This was a very helpful video!!!! I use half of the stuff you listed. Can't wait to try the other half. I am fair but I too like to glow like a disco ball!
I used to live in Oshawa Ontario but now I am in Winnipeg. the nice thing about you being in Canada is there is a good chance I can actually find the products you recommend to try!
This video is so helpful,my skin seems to match milk so highlights just look like my skin so I end up needing really shimmery highlights to even show. great video! ♥
