Just a heads up, they've mentioned it in previous episodes why Drusilla is weak: 1) Giles mentions that there was talk of a mob that attacked and killed her in Prague 2) Drusilla tells Spike that she misses Prague and Spike says "You nearly died in Prague. Idiot mob." Basically, Drusilla was so badly injured by the vampire hunting mob that she couldn't heal properly and is severely weakened.

Few things: 1. According to the writer/producer Marti Noxon, Kendra was never intended to have an accent. The addition of the Jamaican accent to the character was a last minute decision, and a dialect coach was brought in; he taught Lawson a dialect supposedly from a very specific, obscure region of Jamaica. 2. Bianca Lawson was originally cast to portray Cordelia, but she had scheduling conflicts so the role was given to Charisma Carpenter. The crew eventually offered Lawson the role of Kendra.

Fun Fact: Sunnydale is based on Santa Barbara, California which during the school year has highs in the mid 60s to low 70s, so the seemly inconsistent wardrobe is actually fairly appropriate.

Even before I watched this, and based on watching them ask questions the show has answered or forgetting the show has answered them, I wondered what their reaction of the ending would be. The actor who plays Kendra can still pass for that age. I agree with Suraj at 12:23-12:26 about Xander and think that Xander should also know the difference between telling a joke when things aren't serious and when things are as Giles had a right to be upset with him when looking at the Order of Taraka member's ring. The Order of Taraka member, who Buffy used her ice skate to slit his throat of, was named Octarus. He was represented as a demon on Drusilla's tarot cards, but is classified as human on the Buffy wikia. So it has been a debate on whether or not Buffy killed a human. Either way, it was definitely self-defense. That was actually Sarah Michelle Gellar skating as she had experience enough to not need footage of someone else doing the skating. Although, I think the running into the wall moment had more to do with the fact that Octarus chokes Buffy in the same shot. Inviting salesman in the house is one issue, but Cordelia inviting them into a house that isn't hers is a whole other can of worms.😁 The strength level is a money and plot issue in all pop culture, unfortunately. The writers always wanted Drusilla's ailment to be vague and to have it be head canon-ed. The writer of this episode admitted to that in the DVD audio commentary of this episode.

But then I moved out to the desert (and LA is like Vegas, an artificial city in a desert) and I completely understand the Sunnydale dress code now. Buffy did technically die at the end of season 1. So a new slayer can be called even though Buffy is back from the dead. When Kendra dies there will be a new slayer.

Great reaction. It was interesting when Buffy was fighting Kendra at the end we noticed she fought the same as Buffy, you almost see she was a Slayer. The reason of course Kendra was activated was because Buffy did actually die for a few minutes on Prophecy Girl. This is of course a two parter. Enjoy part 2 it's great.

I kept waiting for the second slayer to show up, but I forgot about Kendra until I saw her in this episode. Damn her accent was bad!

SMG is good at ice skating, it may well be her all the time until she kills the guy. If an actor has a skill they like to incorporate it at some point if they can. Drusilla always had visions, even as a human. Angel drove her insane, then he sired her. It was sometime later he got his soul, it has nothing to do with her sickness, I'm not sure we ever learn why she is weak. Kendra is played by Bianca Lawson. Career fairs are just there to give you an idea of what jobs are around and tests just suggest what jobs they think might suit your personality type. It's not like you have to pick a career there and that is the only thing you can ever do.

So she was bonkers before being turned, but has only been weak for a short time. Angel's curse has nothing to do with Drusilla's condition - he turned her long before he was cursed, and he hasn't turned anyone since he got cursed.
