I’m soooo happy I found you! I’m going to be starting my Invisalign treatment in about a week. Your videos have answered so many of my questions and calmed my fears 🤗
As always, very helpful. Thank you Dr. Bailey! I am in the middle of my treatment and you are able to explain everything I need (even if I sometimes need to use a dictionary as a German)
The Vicoria secret reference killed me!😭😭😭 And I can totally imagine people walk in a dental office with unrealistic expectations. Orthodontists are not magicians.
Hi Dr Bailey, Thank you for your advise and channel. I am starting my invisalign in a week, and one of my biggest fears is that because of this movement, my teeth will become looser than normal and I will have issues when older. is this the case? Do braces in adult bring teeth movement in old age? Thanks
Great question. Most patients with good periodontal health (healthy gum and bone support), and adequate root length do well with ortho treatment. Talk to your orthodontist about your risks and benefits of treatment. Also, you may find the video “how teeth move” on the TrayMinder RU-vid channel to be helpful.
Thank you Dr. Bailey. Is it myth or fact that Invisalign can cause very dry mouth? I'm on week 5 and my tongue is very dry, irritated, and whitish. I'm wondering if it's the Invisalign or a reaction to using so much toothpaste and mouthwash each day to keep up with proper Invisalign oral hygiene.
Some people do experience dry mouth with clear aligners. Drinking plenty of water is helpful. Also sugar free mints with xylitol is helpful because it’s suppose to increase salivary flow. Movemints is a good choice.
What could be wrong with my tooth if last week when I changed my trays and I had been wearing the new ones for almost a day, I drank water and one tooth hurt so bad the pain radiated up the cheek area? This happened for like 3-4 days (but only once/day) when I drank water. My ortho has closed for the summer so I can't ask her. It doesn't hurt anymore though but it hurt really bad back then.
@@TrayMinder Okay, but do you think it's safe to change my trays as usual in the meantime? It doesn't hurt anymore it only hurt once for 3-4 days as I mentioned.
@@TrayMinder Btw I've read that you should not wear elastics if you're missing an attachment on the tooth that holds the elastic. Is this true? My ortho didn't say anything about it even though that particular tooth is the one that is hurting and is a part of the movement at the moment. The reason why she let it be missing is because she attempted to place it there multiple times but it only fell off. There are 2 more weeks to I can call my ortho's clinic so I wanna make sure I don't do more harm than good by wearing my elastics in the meantime?
