Really wish they would make a Divine attribute archetype that supports each of the three God cards especially Ra and Slifer, or just exists on its own merit

Forgot about Hamon. Easily summonable, especially with phantom of chaos and dark summoning beast, plus it's a 4,000 ATK/DEF wall that deals 1,000 damage every time it destroys a monster.

The Egyptian god cards would've been so viable if they had their anime effects. They're unaffected by the effects of non divine monster and trap cards. They can't be destroyed by card effects unless it's a divine monster's effect.

I love using Obelisk in 2011 Over the Nexus for the DS. The deck focused on getting it in the grave and constantly special summoning it. My favorite combo was the Mist Valley monster with 2000ATK that requires you to return a card to your hand to attack, Call of the Haunted, and Obelisk. Have the monster out, use CotH to get back Obelisk, attack with Obelisk, attack with the mist valley monster, return CotH to hand, set CotH in main phase 2, repeat every turn.

I always loved how Tower makes your opponent discard. Its your opponent doing the discarding, but you forced him. Like your opponent is mind controlled by Marik.

Slifer is my favorite Egyptian god card.

Slifer in Qliphorts is pretty amazing. If you have Qliphort Monolith on your scale and successfully summon Slifer, you draw 3 on end phase. Also if you tributed Carrier and/or Helix, you add to hand or destroy spell/traps

Qli sounds like a pretty cool deck to have. A ultamite boss monster alongside some weaker bosses allows for great play

Destiny Hero Dogma was my favorite card lol only had 1 deck back in elementary school when I actually played the card game and I still have the ultimate rare in near mint

I would just have Ra sphere mode in my deck anyway to wipeout your opponents cards and then possibly combo off the summon or effect

I never knew the the Winged Dragon of Ra - Sphere mode was an actual card I just remembered it from the anime

I know that gravekeeper's oracle isn't good enough for this list but (at least in duel links) it's my personal favorite for 3 tributes. It might lack protection but it can be a pretty decent beatstick (3400+ with bad tributes), lowers your opponent's monster's attack by 2000, & can clear out any set monsters while also being able to use only 1 tribute if you only want one effect is pretty nice.

I have Beast King Barbaros, and I love it. It really gets me out of tight spots when I have the right monsters on my side.

Top 10 monsters that special summon themselves from the gy. Such as High King Avatar Garunix, Glow-up Bulb, and the Nordic Synchros. Or, top 10 monsters that special summon other monsters from the gy like Junk Synchron, Debris Dragon, and Nordin (regardless of it being banned)

As an infernity player I literally almost spit out my tea when I seen slifer as the first monster mentioned. Dont need any 3 tribute 0 atk monsters.

If this video came out later, Ogdoabyss might have made the list. Lvl10 Reptile with 3100/2800 that can be normal summoned with 2 tributes, but can also be special summoned from the GY by tributing 3 on your field. It has a Spell Speed 2 Dark Hole, with the restriction that it can only be used once while on the board and doesn't affect monsters summoned from the GY. Ogdoabyss comes from the Ogdoadic archetype which is all about tributing monsters on the field to bring out Reptiles from the GY. Very easy to get 3 tributes on the field to Special Summon Ogdoabyss, and it can even be tributed after using its destruction effect to be brought out again with the effect refreshed. It's a decent boss monster for an entire monster Type that has been hedging its bets on Snake Rain since Worms fell out of competitive viability.

I always did prefer Skybastard to Towers. It's got an awesome control effect. Shame it's just not as good as Towers.

You can use D.D. Sprite with beast king barbaros because D.D. Sprite's effect is to banish 1 monster you control to special summon it but to return the banished monster next standby phase

This channel has the most uncanny ability to spread to my recommended. I watch one of these videos out of curiosity and then my recommended is awash with these videos. How are they so infectious? Not complaining though, I may not play Yu-Gi-Oh but I really do love the cards. It's awesome to see how expansive this series is.

As a fan of Yu-Gi-Oh! R, I always find it funny that, in the actual game (and as someone who wanted, and got, the Wicked Gods for his collection) that Yako Tenma's deck ultimately would benefit more from using Beast King Barbaros as the core mechanic than the Wicked Gods.

On top of this Towers wasn't played by many on release but during the Euros Wavering Eyes came out ON THAT DAY via special edition. Towers Turbo became optimal on the day of a major tournament because of a special edition being sold on that day that had a tournament legal card which could only be gained by that edition and that the venue had limited stocks of.

Man, yhe wicked avatar must have been inspired from the fairly odd parents episode where tommy was the biggest dude on the beach. Whale gets stuck on the beach, timmy grows with infinite power of the wicked avatar.

In the xbox one game, I run Obelisk and the Skybase (number 3 on list) in the same deck. When I tribute a qli helix for Obelisk's ability, it triggers the effect because it was tributed (as the cards don't say the tribute has to be for a summon, just that they are tributed). I also put Messenger of Peace in that deck and Skybase can attack through it as it is immune to spell/trap effects. So i use that Skybase card all the time in that deck. The qli archetype has always done me very well on that game. Granted they aren't invincible or anything but against the computer for challenges or story completion they've always helped me out. On a side note, I run the other two Egyptian Gods in other decks. My Heart of the Underdog Exodia deck gets Slifer and my Aromage deck gets Ra (all 3 forms). Please make a top 10. Cards which had their text changed to stop being so OP, which changed a lot of basic simple effects to make them complicated . Eg ring of destruction used to be "destroy 1 monster on the field, both people take damage to its attack points " now it's 1 monster your opponent controls which has attack less than their life points and damages u, then Ur opponent . Or imperial order

Even though I don't follow Yu-Gi-Oh post synchro, I love finicky things like that Diamond Crab King becoming meta relevant because it could take down Apoqliphort Towers. I love the mechanics of Yu-Gi-Oh like that, with seemingly bad cards becoming relevant (special shout out to Neo Spacian Aqua Dolphin, haha)

You made a mistake: Metaltron can also tribute Facedown cards, but you can only summon IT face-up if you tribute continuous S/T .

Top 10 Cards With Game-Winning Effects That Could Cost You The Duel Yata-Garasu - People think this is a game winning card on it's own if you can pull of the Yata-Lock. However, if you actually look at it's effect and stats you'll find that what actually happens is that you potentially lock yourself into an inevitable deck-out if you're not careful. Pot Of Desires - Sacrificing 10 cards for the advantage of drawing 2 cards is seen as being an amazing effect and a good trade-off by competitive players. However, what actually happens is that it sabotages a lot of decks and will lead to a deck-out if the opponent manages to stall for about 10 turns (which is very doable if the opponent realizes they don't need a game-winning effect, they just need to stall). Solemn Judgement - The thing about Yu-Gi-Oh is that the power creep of the game means that in a single turn, a single card or a single card combo could win you the game. Solemn Judgement is good late-game when you are about to win or when you have so few life points that sacrificing half of them won't matter if you can stall for enough time to win. But, what about early in the game when you half to sacrifice thousands of life-points to negate an effect? What you've done is made it much easier for your opponent to win with the next card/combo in the next turn. Even later on when you have fewer life points and you're opponent has the upper hand, all you're potentially doing is making it easier for your opponent to win with another card/combo. Dark Hole - In the early days of Yu-Gi-Oh I remember this card being risky. Yes, it destroys everything on the field, but that means that you would play it out of desperation and end up leaving your opponent an empty field on the next turn, or play it strategically by placing a monster and some spell/trap cards on the field. Trouble is, you've just used a card to wipe the board and now you have four cards in your hand at most. There's not too much board set-up you can do with that, especially since your opponent likely has more cards in their hand. So, unless your opponent doesn't have a monster that can beat over the monster you summoned, or a raigeki or dark hole of their own to use, you've just wiped the board to give your opponent an advantage over you and cost yourself the duel. This scenario wouldn't happen these days, but in the early days when Jinzo was one of the most feared boss monsters, dark hole was a gamble.

Yo Hiru, just a quick thing, Metaltron can be summoned by tributing Face Down continuous S/Ts as well, just like other Draco monsters. You just can't tribute set him that way. The wording is weird, it's tribute summon this card face up, you can tribute continuous spell and traps you control.

Crab king was not legal in the UK during Towers Turbo format, that is why it was such an oppresive deck over here because there were 0 rank 4 outs to it.

I have a digital deck using soul absorb in a banish deck, with winged dragon of Ra, I was dueling someone who was also using a banish deck, so when I got Ra out it had over 120K attack.

Top 10 Archetypes with weird wave of support Like Ojamas with their ABC and Armed Dragon, Harpies relaying on harpie sisters for some reason, vampires not sending cards to the graveyard, Gravekeepers as a fusion archetype (Destiny Heroes too), etc

Using sphere mode to summon Ra makes him 10x better, as now you can save your life points from going onto his attack and can now destroy your opponents monsters for 1000 life points per monster, as many times as you want in any given turn and still be able to attack unlike obelisk's effect.

God, now I just really want Plasma. Destiny HERO - Plasma basically is the better counterpart to Elemental HERO Flame Wingman, so cool. I don´t have any Destiny HERO cards, but I will definitely look if I can buy this one.

As kids, we didn't know well the game's rules, and anime was our guide. The god cards were the most known monster with levels higher than 8. So we thought all monsters higher than Lv8 required 3 tributes.

In duel links the other day I dueled a player who brought out Obelisk the tormentor. I had widespread ruin face down but didn't play it when he attacked me on the turn he summoned it, but I used it on his next battle phase and it destroyed him.

im surprised Gravekeeper's Ace monster not in this list. Gravekeepers' Oracle effect kinda resemble all 3 God Cards, that is 1st effect, the Ra's effect of paying LP for increasing ATK and DEF is similar to Oracle's effect, that is paying monster's LVL as much as possible to increase its ATK. 2nd, a total of (2 tributes needed to destroy all) opponent's Sets, while Obelisk need (2 tributes to destroy all) opponent's monsters 3rd effect is similar to Slifer's effect, both cards reduce opponent's monster ATK and DEF by 2000, but when Slifer's effect is triggered by opponent's monster Summon, Oracle's effect activate immediately to current opponent's monsters, but only once when Tribute Summoned. also the 3 God Cards avatar also present on Oracle's background. That makes it my fav card both gameplay and artwork.

It’s not viable in the insane 2-turn win games that go on these days, but I have an amazing fiend deck that revolves around the wicked avatar and dreadroot and it stomps if it can go off. Sometimes I like to sacrifice my wicked dread root for Great Maju Garzette. That’s always fun

I use metaltron in a ninja simorgh lockdown deck to great effect, love the card.

If I had ra sphere mode I probably would use that effect of summoning the winged dragon of ra if there was no other option available for me to do

You left out Gravekeeper’s Oracle which can be pretty easy to summon with the right cards. It can be Tribute Summoned (but not Set) with two to three monster’s or by tributing one Gravekeeper’s monster and has three effects you can select from to activate (once each when Tribute Summoned) in any sequence up to the number of Gravekeeper’s monster’s used for it’s Tribute Summon. The first listed allows it to gain 100 Attack times the combined level of all the monster’s used for its’ Tribute Summon which can include one or two non-Gravekeeper’s monster(s) provided there is at least one Gravekeeper used as Tribute along with it (Especially useful with cards like Soul Exchange!). It’s second listed effect enables it to instantly destroy all set monsters your opponent controls (Great way of avoiding any Flip Effect’s!). And the third listed effect, which does not target, subtracts up to 2,000 Attack and 2,000 Defense points from each of the opponents face-up monster’s. One really great way of maximizing this cards full potential is to Normal Summon a level 4 or lower monster onto your turn and follow it up with Ties of the Brethren so you can Special Summon two more monster’s that share the same Attribute, Type, and Level (but have different names from each other and that monster) and follow it up by setting the Quick-Play Spell Arrivalrivals to activate anytime during your opponent’s Battle Phase! Playing it this way may be a little tricky, but it is a lot easier to pull off in the Duel Link’s version of the game than it is in standard format though given the smaller deck sizes.

I think it's funny how the game and anime differ in their rules with tributing. You can tell the show wanted to create the rule that level 10 or higher monsters needed 3 tributes, but the game didn't do it for some reason.

If Slifer had its anime effect to even shoot flip summoned and defense position monsters, things would get lit

This needs some sequels a 1 tribute monsters and 2 tribute monsters, where it's the best monster effects that activate when they are Tribute Summoned.
