Kai was easily the best villain in the series. He was smart, powerful, and consistently knew how to turn odds in his favour. It didn't take power but guile to take him out. He was unpredictable, and it made him frightening.
@@DButta2490 Have you forgotten, that even after Klaus finding Elena, Katherine wasn't off the hook? She literally tried to trade her life FOR ELENA'S. Because Klaus DOESN'T FORGIVE OR FORGET. Heck, he doesn't even tolerate shit from his family if he can't control, them. But that doesn't mean he didn't FEEL for them. Alot of his reasons for terrorising others came from "always and forever." Which as pointed out on TO was an excuse to hurt and terrorise others. Klaus did terrible things, but he felt acutely for those he loved meaning his motivations were emotional. His weakness was his family and his ego which if challenged could cause him to react violently. Basically, a high functioning sociopath. With obvious weaknesses. That could and would be manipulated by others.
@@samhart4205 do you know what made Klaus more dangerous because even though with his emotions issue he could still do unimaginable things and still use them as an excuse even putting his own family in the casket for years if they defy him now tell me who is more sick than Klaus he even killed his biological father in the TO after basically meeting him so not to compromise his plans and you say kai is more sick than Klaus no I don't agree with you
Kai was by far the most interesting villain on the show, absolutely loved him. Edit: since apparently 3 years after i made this comment people still ain't happy with me saying this. I meant to me. Kai was the most interesting villain on the show to me. He was a breath of fresh air from Klaus and Katherine's antics.
NatBat Cairns yeah but I like Him better as an anti-hero which technically that’s what the whole mikaelson are. Not really heroes but not the villains we thought them to be
@@lizardlizard8276 Klaus used brute force most of the time. When he used to meet someone as powerful or more powerful than him, most of the time he used to lose badly. Heck, Bonnie had his ass trapped in the Gilbert house for days LOL
@Patience’s RU-vid Channel Doesn't actually prove the point, though? Fighting one on one with Kai was always a bad idea. Even though he'd been frozen in time, he'd still acquired a lot of knowledge, power as a teenager not to mention he was ruthless and smart.
3. Klaus some redemption for his character 2. Katherine wanted too much couldn't appreciate the little things 1. Kai a full blown psycho with no regard for human life at all even his own
@EnchantedxPassion xo nothing if the other person reciprocates it and stefan didn't in the end yet she pursued him even after he had accepted she would die so then she stole Elena's body and let's be honest everything she did after that made me lose sympathy for her
@EnchantedxPassion xo klaus did not get a happy ending and I am not misogynistic I love many female characters on the show katherine being one of my favourite characters but in the end she gave up on revenge focused her hate on people who did show her love compassion and forgiveness and what did she do she threw it in their face she wanted to kill elena for no good reason and she wasn't even with stefan she was with damon another character that I was terrified for in the end of the show
We all know we skipped to the end just to make sure the one and only Original Hybrid, Niklaus aka "Klaus" Mikaelson was first on this list. Long live the King!
Should of mentioned Damon cause he was the first villain in season 1 and he did bad things too. He wasn’t a proper villain but he was a baddie and setted the vibe and bad guy thing at first. So it basically counts
I feel like Damon should be at least be an honorable mention. Although he is not a villain, he appeared first as one, and has done some questionable things during the series
He's rather an antihero. He mostly does vile things to protect sb or because of revenge never just for the sake of being evil. Unless his humanity is of but so does Stefan and Stefan is supposed to be one of the good ones lol
I agree, I was SO impressed with Nina Dobrevs acting skills when she played both Elena/Katherine, she really embodied them both to the T. Yeah, Katherine will always be my number one ^^ You always knew you were in for a crazy ride whenever she showed up.
I already knew Klaus would be number one... Because he's so populair. But for me Katherine and Kai are the better villians. Katherine was the OG villian. She was there from the start and even season one was about her and she wasn't even there. Plus her backstory was very good and sad. It made me understand the character more. Plus I really admire Nina Dobrev for her acting skills regarding pulling Katherine and Elena of. Kai stole my heart from the very first minute(not only because of Chris's good looks ;)) he appeared on TVD. He was just so interesting and unpredictible. Plus he was so sarcastic and funny! The clip they showed of him in this video alone made me laugh again.
Katherine was a survival, aways in defense mode. Kai has any layer in his personallity, this is a formula for bad character. Klaus and Elijah are better villains by far.
I would've put Kol ahead of Markos simply because the travelers season was trash in my opinion. Also Kai should've been up higher. Number one to me because he's my favorite lol. I get why Klaus is number one but still.
Same, the travelers just wasn't an interesting plot. But then again s4 and 5 are very boring. First three seasons were brilliant, and Kai made s6 interesting.
Nah klaus deserves the number one spot. Hands down the best villain. Unpredictable, witty, hilarious, murderous and intimidating. Kai just didn't have the depth in terms of characters, sure he was entertaining but that's about it. Catherine was just as entertaining so she deserves the number 2 spot as well.
Kai was a psychopath at the beginning The moment he merged and took some of the kind traits of his brother he turned a notch lower to a sociopath.. Katherine is a sociopath.. I can't say for sure if Silas was always cruel... Qetsiyah and Klaus are psychotic...
@@maduksylelosa1552 Quetisiyah was betrayed to make an immortality spell for Amara and Silas. Silas pretended to love Quetisiyah. Amara was a total bitch. She knew everything as she was the hand maiden of Tessa.
Yes that's also what I thought I mean if you know his story you don't feel like he is bad or was ever bad. Also I mean if damon was in his position he whould kill right away everyone when he don't get what he wants. Klaus whould have killed stefan, damon, elena etc. For betraying him and trying to kill him but that shows he has a heart
oh I love Kai sooooo much. and chris wood did an accelent performance. and I think that kol(no idea how to write his name) should be number nine and marcos number 10
Klaus Mikaelson is obviously #1 forever. He's legit my favourite character from the entire TVD, TO and Legacies universe. But also when and Caroline are together my heart is just like...💕
No one could out best Klaus he was just pure class of a villain. He was unpredictable, ruthless, intelligent, the best strategist of all. He made 2 supernatural communities(vampire and werewolves) chase an idea of breaking a curse for almost a 500 or so years, he made himself a myth, no one could really tell his motives til it was too late, the whole gang of Vampire Diaries tried to kill him multiple times and failed every time. Kathrine was in every season yes but she had an advantage of being Elena's doppelganger, everyone knew what she wanted, only no one truly wanted to kill her. Kia was fun to watch but Kia could be taken of guard(as Damon did in the season 6 finale). Klaus always had the upper hand in every situation.
I'm happy that Kai was so high on the list cause he was the only Vampire Diaries villain that truly terrified me. To the point where I can't watch him (the actor) in anything else.
They should have given Kai a spin-off his character was very interesting and still is, his story has potentials. P.s. Legacies is very dull without Klaus lol
1. Katherine 2. Klaus 3. Kai 4. The Heretics 5. Qetsiyah 6. Silas 7. Sybil 8. Alaric 9. Kol 10. Esther I didn't count no humanity Caroline or ripper Stefan, otherwise they'd be on the list, too, and pretty high, actually. Also, Rebekah and Elijah didn't feel "villainy" to me long enough, which is why I didn't put them on the list either. Katherine definitely should be number 1, she basically started the show and ended the show. She's THAT bitch, the myth, the legend. Markos was by far the worst villain of the show, so. damn. boring. The traveler story had so much potential, but honestly, the other side collapsing was the only interesting thing about the second half of season 5
Ny TOP 3 best villians - Klause, Katherine and and and my fav KAI PARKER - TVD couldn't use KAI to his fullest, his powers were 🔥 and could have been the ultimate villian
No one's going to talk about that Sybil is only a honorable mention? Yeah, this list is really spot on but to me Sybil should be at least top 5 I hated her soo much
Did anyone doubt Klaus would be #1??? Not me! 😁 Here I am watching him commit a number of atrocities in TVD and crying my eyeballs out over his death in the originals!!! 🤷😁😭💔😍💕
Kathrin is my favourite charakter, she is so powerful. The best thing that happened to the vampire diaries. I think the episodes with her were the best.
Hey Don't get me wrong I like Katherina I agree she is classy, she oozes Seduction/Sexuality &/or sensuality, very clever, materialistic etc. but the reason all of this happened was because the whole time she was running from "something" that she was afraid of then we(audience)found out that something was Klaus due to their history she also kind of screwed him & Elijah over but she was going to be sacrificed due to the "sun & moon"curse & other thing's related to elena as well that's why he's#1 on the list it was centuries ago & he was still more than the word pissed & made sure she knew it & paid slowly but surely once she was betrayed by her bestie/Elenas real mom then captured .
I just noticed Rick Cosnett and Chris Wood played bad guy's role: Wesley and Kai in Vampire Diaries, but in the Arrowverve they played the good guy's role: Eddie and Mon-El
My top 5 favorite to less is 1. Kol (Impeccable acting and backstory powerful character and cute accent but sometimes creepy) 2. Klaus (Relatable in some ways) 3.Kai (interesting backstory) 4. Kathrine (straight up baddie) 5. Elijah (he is a better friend than foe)
Well without his humanity off he isn't that bad he doesn't even drink blood from people. People like katherine, Kai, klaus and damon they had there humanity on and still did these things
Klaus Mikealson was the greatest thing to ever happen to that show. He literally turned it from a sappy teen flick to an actual amazing dramatic show. Joseph Morgan definitely best actor in the series
Katherine was more for herself. So that meant allying herself with either the good guys or the bad guys, but she was always for herself not caring for anything bad she’s done which made her a true villain from the beginning to the end.
