Wow, same height. Have a stock gsxr 750 but have rode ADV’s as well. Long as I can get 1 foot down I’m good, but I’m sorta use to it coming from dirt bikes. Must say it is great that company’s are catering to all heights, I’m sure it’s quite intimidating to newer riders.

I'm also the same height but I have experience driving taller bikes for my height. I had a cruiser in India - Bajaj Avenger. It was perfect height for me lol and it was fun to drive. For the same reasons I'm thinking of getting a Scout Bobber because it looks a little taller if not the same height.

I don't own one but I browsed through the specs sheets a couple of years ago enough to remember that the seat height was more than 810mm (810 is my threshold I'm 5.2) and figured it ain't for me.

I think 390 Duke seat height they gave is wrong. I own one, and tried the CB650R on the dealership when I bought it. 390 Duke seat height was definitely taller, I'd say 830 is more accurate than 787.

Probably lowering kits might have been involved. Not sure about the triumphs but the duke is over 800mm for sure.

@@josephnova7864 I'm tip toed on XSR 155 , but manageable.. riding it was not hard especially when the bike is running. It's a different story if you're stuck in traffic. I'm 5 flat. If you're taller than me then there is no issue at all

Not true. Comfort is a big factor in the fun. Don't be a "tiis-ganda". It's also more sustainable that way. Also seat height is about safety too. Chances are, the more comfortable you are, you'll be safer on the road.

@@chrisbarbz9238 taller bikes are usually more comfortable and more stable and with proper education and training about motorcycles are no less safe than lower ones. I think you got my comment wrong here, im not a tiis ganda type of person. Im simply suggesting that people will have a better time in motorcycles if they get out of their "comfort zone", not necessarily meaning that you shoud get uncomfortable bikes.

@@norbertovillarealiii6750 I think by "taller bikes" you mean "upright" to which I'd agree, the more upright equals more comfort ergonomically. Not all upright bikes are tall and not all tall bikes are upright, so if you simply mean "tall", then I'd disagree. Can't really fault me if you think I misconstrued your point, to which I'm only responding to because I think it's wrong and potentially misleading to a dangerous assertion to forgo comfort (and safety, I argue) for the sake of having a bike. Part of the equation to your decision to get a bike should include the comfort AND fit (ergo seat height). "Embrace the uncomfortable", "Get out of your comfort zone", those sentiments are catchy at best. But they're incomplete sentences and contextual, and therefore highly ambiguous. While I agree that you can master any motorcycle, that's not what you said the first time, and you repeated to say ambiguous things.

@@chrisbarbz9238 By tall I mean tall, not not necessarily upright because there are low seat bikes that are upright riding. High seat, high handle bars usually large wheels, ADV kind of bikes, which are usually very comfortable and mostly upright. Were talking seat heights so by "get out of your comfort zone" I mean don't limit yourself on bikes with low seat heights. I don't know what is ambiguous about it, its my first comment as well.

@@norbertovillarealiii6750 First and foremost you're urging people to get bikes "despite the seat height" is different from saying "don't limit yourself on bikes with low seat height". The former was ambiguous, and unsound, as I've already established, and you just clarifying doesn't constitute as being clear. Second, what I said about comfort.. "Embrace the uncomfortable".. Like, what does that even mean (i.e. ambiguous)? Will you teach a little girl on a Multistrada and just tell her "get out of your comfort zone"? Will you teach a new rider to go 100 kph around the bends of Baguio because he should "embrace the uncomfortable"? I'm just pointing out that that is unsound guidance in and of itself and really is out of place from your whole narrative.
