the acting here is that much more amazing when you think about how Fincher made them do it millions of times and usually sorkin demands word for word. how did these actors do it??
Great, but not perfect, Top 10... Why? Because I don't see the confrontation between Eduardo and Mark at the Facebook party: in my opinion, the finest scene in this absolute masterpiece 💎
The flow of this movie is absolute perfection. The transition from scene to scene is absolute Perfection literally one of the greatest movies ever made in my opinion
I love this movie. One of my favorite things about it are the Winklevosses (I may have spelled the last name wrong). What I mean is that despite them being twins, they have distinct differences. Tyler is more impulsive than Cameron, while Cameron is more level headed. There a lot of things that show this, such as the University issue scene and the scene when they found out about Facebook. I especially love the line that Tyler said “I’m 6’5, 220 and there’s two of me.”
Its amazing that this film didnt win the best picture oscar. Yet it had such a significant cultural impact and influence, that to this day remains on the highest pedestal of cinema mastery. It will forever be one of the greatest films made, alongside other "losers" like Goodfellas, Pulp Fiction, Saving Private Ryan and Shawshank. ...But hey Kings Speech was more impactful right?
Why are you bringing up kings speech like it wasn't absolutely worth the win too, lmfao. Social Network is great but let's not pretend it's not another fincher/sorkin romp.
The more i watch the Cease and Desist scene.. the more i understand Marks “nice chair” argument. Hes right. You dont see the estate of the Inventor of the chair suing every dining set manufacturer
"Sir, I honestly don't think you're in any position to make that call" "I was the US treasury secretary. I'm in SOME position to make that call' I'm dying, I love this man 😅
I actually remember all of the small schools around Waco, Dallas, and Austin getting Facebook and then people at Baylor getting annoyed by not having it. Damn good strategy.
dude i remember in year 8 when it first hit the UK. it took over like a tidal wave. instantly almost all my friends had it and everyone at school made one, i held out for like 3 months thinking it was just a fad. little did we know how addictive the facebook was and how large it would become after what 2008 or 2009?
I remember when it started taking off around 2006 (maybe 2005), you had to be in college to have it or be sponsored in, or something like that. The two coolest kids in school had it after they committed to their colleges. Lol. There were locker room whispers "He got Facebooked"
I see somethign differnt here. Mark WAS the MIND behind everything. He was super talented and ahead of everybody around him. The people around jus twanted to take credit for it
Pretty sure most of the actors got exhausted during takes for these dialogues cause seriously, most people in real life I met that talks like this either gets interrupted a lot or punched for being an unnecessary smart-ass.
@@mstwelvedeadlycyns She started first at that student's bar, when she told him rude words about his personality. After Mark put her down in his blog.. and at that restaurant, when Mark apologized she said (and how she said) ".. your video game" it sounded like that she was still angry with him.
The number one most pivotal moment is my favorite part of the whole movie as he was so right against those twins. I hate facebook with a passion but this movie was great.
Thank you for sharing really was a fantastic movie, I think I will get more appreciation as years to come, I think you missed one of the pivotal moments of the movie in the whole point is the scene where Mark Zuckerberg says "Facebook can never go down" basically can never go offline it has to be live, this point really resonated with me as someone in tech
POV: You are here to see Andrew Garfield's reply to spin stazz's comment from the new GQ social media undercover video. But they deleted the comment haha
Did Eduardo Saverin actually claim to ppl that he and Zuckerberg both built FB? Coz from the movie, what I understand is that Saverin was only into writing an algorithm and then pitching to few folks for investment. He wasnt directly involved in any other process of building FB, right?
Can't tell you how many people make me think of the scene where Erica tells him he will go through life thinking girls don't like him because he's a nerd.
People rep the fact that he got with Priscilla Chan who is an ugly person inside and out and didn’t hook up because Mark is a good person. He did it because he had an irrational mind flaw that upon doing this he could take over the Asian market
You watch this more and you realise that Mark does have a reason to get rid of Eduardo: in the entire time Facebook was being made, Eduardo provided nothing but money and saw Facebook as a money making scheme with ads. He was never truly in the idea, he just felt responsible as a friend.
What a way to deal with a friend that dares to care about you too much... no, I still don't understand Mark's character justification of his action on a human level. (I'm obv, just talking about the movie, not reality)
@@rafayimran5732 and it can only do that because they have a user base of billions locked in. Back when Facebook was only a thing for college kids, and didn’t even have a million users, filling it with ads would’ve killed it.
It was his plan to extend promotion in stanford and palo alto thats how they got notice of Sean Parker. Also because of his algorithm he was first able to crack the facemash.
You miss the point. He came to her, not the other way around. She is not impressed with Mark world, fame and prestige drives him but not her. She did create an account in Facebook in the end of the movie, but she does not want anything to do with Mark's megalomania. That doesnt mean he is not a hard worker and he deserve the rewards after. It's his attitude that bite him in the ass.
Now that I am a bit older than when I first watched this. The Winklevoss twins have an absolute claim. People with great business ideas hire coders all the time. Hey it paid off for Mark. Unfortunately it pays to be a jerk.
