lol most of them were in Code Veronica & the first game, but there are a few scattered throughout the series. Even a couple that I didn't cover on my list actually
Some skippable bosses I could think of (of the top of my head) are: - Ogroman in RE6 in Jake's campaign - I think you only need to disable the anti air guns and he will be eliminated by air support - Pedro in RE Revelations 2 - You can skip the fight with Claire but then fight him with Barry or do the other way around (guess this boss is "semi - skippable"?) - In RE3 Nemesis, you can skip fighting nemesis a couple of times, like when he kills Brad or in the Clock tower by using the light or by pushing him of the bridge - In the same RE3 Nemesis, you can skip the Nicholai "Boss fight" (if we count this as boss fight) But yeah, there are lots of skippable fights...
oh for sure. Although I wouldn't count Pedro as you'll fight him in either circumstances regardless. And, as I said at the start of the video, I didn't include stalker enemies like Nemesis. But Ogroman in RE6 makes sense.
It’s odd that Code Veronica has three entirely skippable boss battles. I wonder if this was to help people who accidentally made the game harder for themselves during the character swaps?
They should have done them like Nemesis in RE3. Avoidable but some extra goodies if you beat them. How they are now they are so easy to skip that they actually feel kinda pointless.
@@NisseDood Depending on your actions throughout Claire's scenario, fighting the Gulp Worm as Chris will give you access to the lighter, which in turn will give you access to the submachineguns. The Albinoid and especially the Black Widow are entirely pointless to fight though.
@FSTGBE I wouldn't say "unique". Some players don't know with the Verdugo. Obviously, the new ones, of course, but excluding it wouldn't necessarily make it any less "unique" than this video may already be. Most of these Boss battles on this list are more well known that they can be skipped as well over the Verdugo (Plant 42, and literally all the ones in CV). So, the exclusion of some of the ones on his list and putting the Verdugo in their place wouldn't even make a difference in this case.
First time I played the original, I tried to take him out but couldn’t because he’s a bullet sponge. Same thing happened the first time playing the remake - tried to get him, ran out of ammo, had to run without beating him. I’m on my second play through now and am at that part. Time to settle the score!
1) Oscar the elphant in outbreak file 2 you can trap him in the stage arena to avoid fighting him at the end of the level. 2) The giant flea called gigbit in outbreak 2, you can just run away and then wait for the train to leave without you, letting you finish the stage by a different emergency escape route 3) Nemesis in the original is skippable in 8/10 encounters. You must fight him in waste disposal and the final encounter only.
Nice on the first two. Thought of Oscar but forgot the Flea. As for nemesis, per my rules at the start I didn’t count stalker enemies as most are skippable except predetermined points. That’s why you don’t see Lisa Trevor, Jack, Mr X, etc
During the black tiger fight you can also just shoot the webs with a gun but it’s a little more annoying because you’ll probably auto aim onto one of the spiders in the room
I'm pretty sure the only way to get the assault shotgun as Jill in REmake is to fight yawn the first time after giving Richard the serum, so skipping this fight as Jill would mean missing out on an upgraded shotgun for the rest of the game, definitely not worth skipping!
you dont necessarily have to fight the lil guy though which is very convenient. I saved richard, got the mask, walked around like two times waiting for him to eat richard, picked up the gun, and then dipped without doing much more than a lovely jog
In OG Resident Evil 4 (any version) you can skip the double El Gigante fight in chapter 4-2 (the ones in the lava arena). To do this you use a glitch called the Ditman Glitch, which you activate by equipping the Striker shotgun and aiming it but pausing and switching to a different weapon before the laser sight shows up. Doing this will make Leon run 1.5 times faster and all his animations also increase by the same speed. Enter the room with the El Gigante's but DO NOT trigger the fight which is done by approaching the door they appear from. Instead climb up to the handrail within the arena with the Ditman glitch activated and activate the handrail. Leon will ride the handrail but the animation will desync and he will jump off further then he is supposed to. Immediately after you land, run back to the handrail (still with the Ditman glitch activated) and activate it again. This time Leon will go right through the wall and you can then run while out of bounds behind the door the El Gigante's would appear from, and you can even get the barrels as the El Gigante's are not spawned in until you initiate the fight. This glitch is super easy and anyone can do it, but it specifically requires the Striker shotgun to perform it. Sure you miss out on the money you'd get for beating them but you also save a ton of ammo and resources so it's worth it imo
So Funny thing about the second Popokarimu in RE5 I always thought you had to run from it, I didn't know you could actually fight it in that section XD Only found out much later during a run while trying to collect all the rest of the treasures
I could be wrong about this, but the final Tyrant boss in RE1 Remake I THINK is entirely dependent on whether or not the self-destruct is activated, which is dependent on whether or not Barry / Rebecca is alive when Wesker is confronted. Whether or not you save Chris / Jill doesn’t matter to whether or not the final boss shows up. Fun fact: The final Tyrant can kill Barry / Rebecca. Meaning you can do everything right to get the best ending and still not get it😆
There’s one optional boss fight in re village when you go back to one of the main boss's area ( I don’t remember which main boss it was) to collect a treasure item. You can totally skip that mini boss.
You can choose to fight the gulp worm as Chris or click x by the elevator and leave him but you can get smgs by killing the gulp worm and the man will give you a lighter to light the fire inside were Chris entered the island wouldn’t skip it like I did sadly…
lol is this a complaint? If I showed only skipping then there wouldn't be b roll for the video so I'm confused about the logic here? But, I did show some of the skips in the video, but obv they wouldn't cover the entire segment on the fight hence why I show the boss fight for b roll?
I just played code veronica for the first time ever recently, and I never even shot the gulp worm once, lol. I didn't even realize you could kill it and I just ran around it while playing claire and ran cirlces as chris waiting for the elevator to arrive, which it did lol
Revelations 2 Mutated Pedro (The Drill Boss). You can either skipp him as Claire and then you'll have to find him as Barry, or you can kill him as Claire and them Barry skip the fight.
Ok I forget but why is Nosferatu/Alexander in the Black Widow room I thought he died on the Helipad any answers to that I know he awakens from being held by an Axe as his son dies so yeah?
played re 5 in every difficulty and until i unlock every thing and never realise that you can skip that boss fight in the ruins OMG XD anyways you are pretty strong by that chapter so it is not that troublesome XD
I think for your next 10 horror movie bit, horror films that uses old school puppetry and effects like "John Carpenters THE Thing". 2 other movies I can think of that uses that old-school style are "The Void" and "Habenger Down".
I´m not sure if it is true or false... but I remember reading on a guide that if you do defeat the Gulp Worm in the entrance of the military facility with Claire then when you fight it as Chris he does have less HP (Code Veronica)
Bella Sisters (RE4) can be skipped by choosing the other route on chapter 2-3. You won't even encounter them. El Verdugo (RE4) technically can be skipped, since all you need to do is to survive for 5-7 minutes (can't remember the exact time) until the elevator reaches your floor. You don't even need to fire a single bullet. Sadly, unless you use a particular exploit, it might be better to actually kill it, since this boss is rather hard to survive to. Dr. Salvador (RE4 and RE4 Remake) ONLY on Chapter 1-1. (If you consider this a boss fight, since this might not be considered one by most players) This boss is VERY easy to skip on the Original. Just don't enter the house with the shotgun until the bell rings. You don't even need to kill a single enemy. That way, he will never spawn. On the Remake, he will always spawn after a certain amount of time has passed, so you need to trigger the bell ringing yourself by shooting at it to skip (most of) the fight. It is so far away that it is preferable to use a rifle with a scope, which is only available on NG+, but it is doable with the starter handgun. You do need to trigger the boss by entering the house with the shotgun, though, since you can only get a clean shot of the bell by standing on the roof of said house (as far as I know). Ogroman (RE6) can technically be skipped. Both of them. But must be fought or distracted for a long time. In both Chris' and Jake's Campaigns, during the intersecting story sequence, all you need to do is keep the Ogromans occupied or distracted, away from the Anti-aircraft turrets. That is actually the intended job of Jake and Sherry. Once the second Ogroman comes out, at one point in time, you must pull its organs out from its back to expose them. Once Finn blows up the last anti-aircraft turret, said aircraft will kill the Ogromans one by one. You also can kill them by yourself, but that must be done before destroying the last anti-aircraft turret and not recommended for a first playthrough. If we also consider glitches, then there are a few others that I know can be skipped: Salazar (OG RE4), Jack 2nd fight - basement (RE7), Double Gigante boss fight (OG RE4). There might be others, but I don't know.
Ah yes, the gulp worm. If you are a vore fan like me, this boss, though skippable and relatively easy, might be the one you will lose to on purpose since, if your health is orange or red and it grapples you, it will swallow you. You fight it as Claire at the Training facility on Rockfort Island, as Chris in the caves below the facility on the same island, and as Steve in Battle Game mode.
Chris can ignore the worm but then he will miss out on the lighter if Claire gave it and the medicine to the one "friendly" Umbrella member that freed her (after arresting her in the first place).
