what about thal'kiel the greatest summoner of demons in Argus wich had archimond as an aprentice and the skull was so powerfull we used as a demonology artifact weapon?

At the beginning Illidan was a student of Cenarius but even if he didn’t follow the druid path he was a very powerful mage who learned a lot during the first war from Krasus. Only after he took the fel energy from Sargeras he became a demon hunter. You could describe him as a warrior too. Nevertheless every caster of fel magic can be considered as a warlord as well. (The main skill of his Metamorphosis is even a warlord skill)

Day of the Dragon was released almost exactly 20 years ago. Blizzard struggles with consistency from expansion to expansion let alone since before WoW was released.

@@Doronsmovies as a reminder, a big part of why Lothar and Khadgar were able to kill Medivh at all was because Medivh was still combatting the influence of Sargeras within himself. Given Aegwynn was able to solo the Avatar of Sargeras, and Medivh was stated to be the most powerful Guardian, it's pretty clear that he's leaps and bounds more powerful than Kael'thas who crapped his pants at the sight of Kil'jaeden, let alone having to fight him.
Just wanted to let you know that your videos helped me decide to play wow again, I quit in cataclysm but I’ve been back a month or so now and loving it, old habits die hard though I’m still an altoholic xD
@@Silvers617 by definition is is actually right Kael was using the fel to power his spells he had went beyond being just a mage he was a warlock, especially when he came back to summon Kj
I think Kel'thuzad should be noted here as he SUMMONED THE DEFILER! He read from the book of Medhiv and worked / deceived the Dreadlords. Yes he was a necromancer and mage but he was also a warlock of high power.
If you asked me who were the top ten I would say if we include demons it would go 1. Kiljaden 2. Archimonde 3. Thal’kiel 4. Gul’dan 5. Teron’gor 6. Cho’gall 7. Xavius 8. Kenthad ebonlocke 9. Grand warlock Alythess 10. Socrethar Four of these characters are demons with one being a weapon however, the weapon when he was alive was the first draenei to summon demons and was the master to archimonde. As for the demons sorcethar was a powerful draenei and part of the council of exarchs. He was later turned demon when he was empowered by gul’dan. Kanthad, imo does not get enough love on this video. He is a warlock so powerful that not only does he summon a pitlord to control but he can also summon doom lords( it’s the thing Kazzak and kruul are) in an almost endless supply. Xavius by all accounts is a warlock even before becoming a satyr due to him summoning the legion into Azeroth in the first place. Of course you have cho’gall and teron’gor the apprentices to gul’dan teron’gor was the one who told ner’zul about the plan to invade other worlds and also had the knowledge to do so. He was the one to collect the items used in the spell the book of medivh, the eye of dalaran and the scepter of sargeras. He may have not casted the spell himself but I believe he could have done it. His alternate version is show to be just as powerful. The reason I took keal off and Meryl off is because merly was only a warlock for when he had the demon inside of him and kael’thas his class during tbc is very vague it also does not do him justice to call him a powerful warlock since his fire magic as a mage dwarfs his warlock power by a lot. I remember reading somewhere that he shot a pyroblast at deathwing that stunned the future world destoryer.
I think you messed up bro. Thal'kiel is far stronger than Archimonde. It took the combined might of kiljaeden and Velen to take him down.. and they had to ambush him to do it... as far a s lore goes.. Thal'kiel became the strongest eredar
@@wingsoftwitchbots5613 Warlocks aren't really the same thing, even in lore. Some are considered "dark mages", but outside of that, there is no real comparison. It's like calling a Priest "holy mage", when it's not at all the point. Lots of Warlocks wield dark magics such as the Fel, Shadow, etc. Whereas Mages, even Dark Mages, still link themselves with the Arcane laws.
@@preds43 Lore wise mages expose themselves to fel magic and practicing it are considered warlocks, because eventually they get corrupted by its power. Not to mention, in one of the books, mages practicing fire magic are considered warlocks by the paladins and priests, because all the summoned fire comes from the twisting neither(which imo its a little too much).
Can you really consider someone to be powerful if they are just using magical items? Zuluhed was using the Demon Soul, Ner'zhul was using the skull of Gul'dan to open portals, Gul'dan was siphoning off the Nightwell in the end, Kael'thas was only able to attempt the summoning because he was using the Sunwell, as for Medivh, well that guy basically lived on top of the point of all ley lines in Azeroth as well as having a pretty nifty collection of artifacts. Gul'dan might be one of the most powerful ones just from the fact that other people use his skull to empower themselves.
I would have moved Kael’thas to Medivhs spot and put Medivh between Gul’dan and Archimonde. Although I do think Medivh might be more powerful than Archimonde.

Just curious once Nerzhul sub came to the fel corruption and became a warlock would the elementals of either his homeworld or that of Azeroth answer his call???
How you didn't add Illidan to this list, although now he is a demon hunter, but he was a mage before, who start practicing fel magic and summoning demons, which is the base to be a warlock and eventually, became demon hunter.
Original Gul'dan wasn't defeated by Doomhammer. He died to a swarm of Demons inside the Tomb of Sargeras when he was searching for the Scepter of Sergeras.
Goes to show Blizzard's lack of Warlock representation where most of these are just Mages that had something to do with fel at some point. If DH wasn't a class I'm sure you'd have probably counted Illidan as a freaking Warlock...
Illidan was originally considered a druid who favored arcane magic. And was later considered a warlock actually lol, then after his eyes burned out and gained sargeras powers was now a warlock.
Only in the Warcraft franchise would Gul’Dan be described as weak. His art and character models are a hulking and muscular Orc who just has really bad posture. He also has a *really* nasty reputation for killing off other named characters.
If we are to put kael and medivh which is kinda true why not make Illidan directly below archie/KJ Illidan was a master of fel Now being the titan pantheon bff and sergares jailor he might have even surpassed KJ
Warlocks are mages/ shamans that sought more power through dark means. Of course his list is comprised mostly of powerful mages. Besides Guldan, I challenge you all complainers to list five characters that went from powerless to warlock. Don't worry, I'll wait.
If it were up to me I would consider warlocks anyone who develops power through fel magic/ has a demon servant, or powered by a demon fel magic and can drain life, or make themselves younger from the souls or life energy from someone else. Mages are easy to classify, fire, arcane, obviously frost. Dark magic mages- use magic but no demon, no drain life. And everything else mages use If you are a necromancer, you are obviously a mage who just uses undead powers mainly and i guess some fel. Replace demon mainly with undead servant, although I'm sure they could use demons Deathknight- all that necromancers use except they see proficient in combat to an elite level. Not sure what I'm missing.
I wish these list were mortals only. Immortals like Kil and Arch are just to powerful to be considered any class in my opinion. Its like putting Sargeras at #1 for strongest warriors, its just doesn't make sense
Shouldn't Ner'Zhul and Cho'Gall be considered more like shadow priests or sort of? I mean, yeah, they initially used the fel, but they ultimately came to employ the void more than anything else (Ner'Zhul through the Dark Star and Cho'Gall through the exploiting of Old Gods' power). There's a thin line between users of dark magic, but a line still is, as shown by the cosmology chart: fel is not the void, and viceversa. I'd consider them as general "void users", but certainly not warlocks.
@@UpsetWizard he abused void magic, exactly. The fact that he was the head (double) of a warlock council doesn't mean anything. His magic revolves wholly around void, which is typically a shadow priest thing, not a warlock's. @alex sanchez you have a good point. I guess we have to debate on the definition of a warlock then. What's their connection with darkness and the void? What's the cross line between a warlock and a shadow priest?
So without starting the video yet I'm gonna guess Gul'dan number one? BTW I was pretty sure that my man Ner'zhul was shaman not a warlock, even tho he did teach Gul'dan, nevertheless I hate the disrespect Blizzard did towards Ner'zhul, he's literally the most important character in the entire horde, since he united all the clans and created the Horde, also the first Lich King aswell as he was tutoring Gul'dan

Ner'zhul was a chump. He gets deceived and used and captured and tortured over and over and over. He starts out as a popular shaman but Kiljaden and Guldan deceive him into starting a war against the Draenei which is what unifies the horde. The elements and his abandon him for this and then he's used as a pawn when he isn't being tortured. Eventually he becomes a warlock because his shaman powers left him and he opens portals to run away and abandon the horde, causing outland to happen, only to be immediately captured and turned into the lich king. And as we're learning even as the Lich King he probably wasn't actually in control, but rather just an imprisoned victim that allowed the Helm of domination to operate.
A third of these aren't even warlocks and Mediev is easily the strongest warlock, empowered by sargaras and the council of trisfal as the guardian none could match him in magics even Deathwing states he would never willing face the man. Top 5 would probably look like this: Mediev Kiljaden Archimond Illidan (contains all of Guldans knowledge in addition to his own mastery of the fel, arcane and druidism) Guldan
I think Medivh was stronger than firstly definitely Kaelthas...don’t know where the hell you got that idea from. The fact that Medivh was on the level of Aegwynn possibly above who defeated the avatar of sargeras, I don’t see or have not seen Kaelthas do anything on that level. As well as this for guldan we’ve seen what he’s able to do but he was a match for Khadgar. Heloooo Khadgar ain’t stronger than flipping Medivh. Don’t use his meddling and schemes as a way to talk about his power. This list is called the strongest, not the most intelligent.
