Proud to be a Warrior! Why? Because you hit things in the face with chunks of metal. Oh, sure, paladins do that, but they have the light to protect them. You have a chunk of metal strapped to your arm. When a DK wants to start a fight, he selectively pulls someone from far away into melee range with him. You? You charge in and slap it in the face with a chunk of metal. When a Druid wants to self-heal, it casts a spell. When you want to self heal, you kill something and get so excited about it that when you attack the next thing, slapping it with a chunk of metal causes your wounds to close. When a rogue wants to kill a god, it sneaks up and stabs it in the back. When you want to kill a god, you leap fourty freaking yards so you can start smacking the god around with chunks of metal. 0You don't have magic or energy or runes or chi, you just have the sheer power of how pissed off you are. When people need to be inspired, you shout at them until they feel stronger. When a warlock wants to scare someone, he works dark magic. You? You scream so loud everyone runs like a little bitch. When a mage wants to interrupt someone from casting a spell, they throw their own magic to prevent it. You slap him in the face so hard he forgets what magic is."
I'm just gonna throw in a warrior that deserves an honorable mention King Thoradin the human king that united all humans under his banner. Veteran warrior ancestor of Anduin beat Vrykul fought and won the troll wars and it took a C'Thraxxi to finally slay him. The strongest minions of the old gods. Well I'm done liked the video glad Varian made top 5.
@@lorrieruff4402 He's part of the demon hunter artifact weapon storyline. I had to google it because I don't have a DH. From what I can tell, neither he nor the race he's from existed at all in lore before that questline or after. Kind of a lame #1 if you ask me, even if he's tEcHnIcAlLy stronger.
@@VoixMortelle I agree, and by the wording from the texts about him, he fought an Avatar of Sargeras not the Titan himself. So Brox striking Sargeras and wounding him should make him the #1 warrior.
When Broxigar was #2 I was thinking #1 has to be a joke character... But I learned something new today. What a badass. Still mad respect for Broxigar though💪
If this was "Top Ten Warriors" I'd be more lenient, but how can you have "Top Ten STRONGEST Warriors" and then rank Cairne lower than Garrosh when every evidence is that Cairne was stronger and more skilled, independent of old god power-ups?
I mean at the time, Garrosh didn't have it either, the power ups. Just his self. But I agree, just because Garrosh defeats Cairn while he's poisoned, doesn't make him stronger lol
I just want to add an important detail in that fight that made Garrosh significantly handicaped against Cairne: before fighting Cairne, Garrosh has received Gorehowl from Thrall, and since he was used to his dual wield axes, he had a hard time fighting with Gorehowl. I don't know if he would've been equally matched or stronger than Cairne if he had his previous weapons, but at least I wanted to point the information out
@@danibzerkpt6030 true but I believe it was also stated that cairne in his younger years would have dismantled him without much trouble. But it also stated that Garrosh being more seasoned would have made him much more dangerous. I still give it to Cairne. If he had deadly intent it wouldn't be so good for garros
He used to be really good, but now he does M+ and raids I think he isnt even 2k in arenas or Rated BGs it's kinda sad really. Bajheera hit 3k in arena and magnusz has always been around and Blizo is arguably in the best team. So come to grips that rainbowman isnt that good anymore.
Gang Plank physical strength does not show warrior‘s skills, well-trained gnomish warrior will be able to take down bad-trained tauren, even if this tauren can lift a tree with his bare hands
@@whitestreak4852 Except that Cairne had 100 years of experience fighting and surviving, he's also obviously used to fight smaller opponents so he doesn't only rely on brute strength, he was a wise warrior
@@Wildy Green jesus also isnt a warrior so.. yeah. Not surprised he was losing not using his elemental power. Doesnt make Garrosh any more capable of beating Cairne on fair ground.
Cairne was easily beating Garrosh. Garrosh was fighting to kill, Cairne was only fighting to wear Garrosh out, without actually trying to kill him. If he wanted to, he would have. The only injury that Garrosh managed to inflict on him was a single small scratch. Unfortunately, because of the illegal poison, that scratch was enough to kill Cairne, but if not for that poison, and if Cairne was actually trying to kill, or even injure for that matter, he would have easily. Then why was Garrosh such a big deal as a raid boss? Because he had absorbed that old god. That's all.
@@MannequinMeat thrall IS a warrior, and a heck of a one. Remember that he was grown as the vest gladiator of his time in the fighting pits of the humans for a good portion of his life, he has Doomhammer, he hacked his life through countless enemies, probably killing thousands throughout his carrier (even before becoming a shaman). His last feat is easily besting a forsaken assassin, basically unarmed and unarmoured, in his old age. He is a great warrior. And the fact that he does not even show up in this list, and rightly so, proves what a beast of a warrior Garrosh was.
Garrosh was also young in Cata but by WOD he was a seasoned warrior and much stronger. If WOD (sans old god power) Garrosh would have fought Cairne he would have no doubt beat him. We can see his progression as well with how he almost defeated Thrall in WOD where in Cata it was fairly even. P.S. Thrall did not cheat in either Mok'gora he used elemental powers in both and nobody ever said anything about the first one, suddenly everyone wants to cry or troll because he won in the 2nd?
The list is mostly nonsense anyway. He barely touched the warriors from the war of the ancients and those were some of the strongest warriors class heroes in wow history. He stuck to orcs out of favoritism.
@@phugindomas The lore seems a bit muddled these days, so I don't know if I would hold that against him. However, it's clear this is gut feeling by someone who kinda has an idea of who different characters are.
This was a great video!! Each hero had such an epic Name intro, all pronounced perfectly. I loved the material for each hero too, just awesome. Keep up the good work
Ok, Cairne should be well ahead of Garrosh. Garrosh SURVIVED the mak'gora; he didn't WIN. By using a poisioned blade (wether or not he knew); he broke the laws of mak'gora. Also, without the poision, he'd have been killed. He (a large orc in his prime), was badly beaten and wounded, and near out of steam. Cairne on the other hand (as you said, 107 years old, though even more massive), had not a scratch on him and wasn't even winded. Even after Garrosh shattered the Runespear and scratched him, Cairne had the killing blow ready, and both knew it.
@@thenever2957 he killed cenarious, one shotted mannaroth (twice lol) and was one of the only orcs to keep fighting even after the war was over and lethargy kicked in. Complete badass imo. Him and alt Draenor Blackhand are absolute beasts
I did not expect a twist, I was rooting for broxigar so bad. In the end, Toranaar is a new name I never heard of before and it's fun and interesting to learn something new. Great job Doronsmovies.
Filipe Augusto Yeah it would be cool to see some Aldrachi inside of the Shadowlands (posibly in Maldraxus as Maldraxus is the place where wariors and fighters go).
Their body shape must be badass to behold I suspect. Still loving their mystery as it is just a small historical entry on Legion records that the Illidari found, yet even that bit engenders mad admiration for aldrachis.
Broxigar shouldn't even be number 2 tbh... he was only that powerful due to that weapon the night elves gave him... i'm pretty sure at least grommash should be ahead of him.
@@randomwiseguyonyoutube7406 come on, Thrall? This topic is about physical strength and being a warrior. Thrall is weak physically and has his power coming from the Elements - remember for example Siege of Orgrimmar or the duel of Garrosh and Thrall in Nagrand. Garrosh swept him aside like a fly. - though Thrall won in Nagrand by cheating and using elemental powers. He is strong but not physically. By this logic Jaina is the strongest human and warrior lol or Velen is the strongest and the best Draenei warrior
@@kerotomas1 I think people highly overestimate the acxe of cenarius, because the thing didn't do shit besides beeng a really sharp, indestructible good weapon. It was like a real weopen on the level of half gods and shit, were "normal" weopons would be like LARP weopons to us.
Just saying , Caraine lost to Garrosh because of the poison, otherwise he was handing him his ass. I think Carine should be at least above Garrosh as he had him with that old age
The reason why Varok managed to finally land a blow on Sylvanas was because Shalamayne split into 2 and Sylvanas didn't knew about the second blade coming at her.
Hmm kind of disagree with some. I would't put Toranaar, because we basically do not know much about him, and I woudn't put so many orcs (especialy Saurfang), and not Hellscream that far (you've put him that high, because of personal sympathy imo). Personal top 10: 10. Carine 9.Blackhand 8.Jarod Shadowsong 7. Garosh 6.Lothar 5. Ogrim 4.Muradin 3.Gromash HS 2.Varian 1. Broxigar
Very very accurate....ill go with this...im glad my all time Cairne B was in there. I remember him being so powerful in the original game that he could resurrect himself lol.
warriors get an axe legendary skin based off of Saurfang's axe, the blacksmith wanted to make a weapon with the inspiration of a great warrior. and saurfang just happen to be there.
Great video as always! But I have to say, even tho it's an unpopular opinion, that Garrosh was not really toying with Thrall during their Mag'gora in WoD. As I see it, Thrall dominates the fight fairly easy until the giant..and pretty obvious jump into a punch as he gets his as beat from now on. For me it was pure plotarmor that Garrosh took all this hits because it would be insane if one of the greatest Warriors of all time would get killed by a shaman in a melee altercation. They should have made the hole cinematic different if they want Garrosh to look good. Only thing we saw, was that he can take a shot, even tho these kind of hits would be deadly, for any Orc. I mean he gets hit in the face with a giant hammer. Several times. Even with a helmet this will shatter ur skull, face and probably break ur neck. And the fact that Thrall dodges all these Axe swings so smoothly but gets hit by a punch, while he is watching Garrosh launching into the air like a kangaroo is just silly. But as I said I think its just the plotarmor for his last stand. I love the cinematic and watched it countless times, but my boy Garrosh got his ass beat until that fairly stupid scene. Greetings and love out of germany!:)
Yo Doron, I haven't read it in a while so I don't remember his name, but there was a wimpy priest who got a hold of Apocalypse for a brief moment and almost slaughtered Aegywnn when she was at the height of her power. Based on that, how much carnage do you think a character like Broxigar could inflect upon the world if he wielded such a blade? :o
Pleasantly surprised at #1. In a guild of several tens of active members I'm literally the only one who knows the lore behind Toranaar the Indomitable (and bear the name on my Demon Hunter)
in lore varian was an exceptionally skilled warrior before the whole plot from onyxia that caused the whole lo'gosh arc, afterwords he became a warrior capable of going toe to toe with even the best fighters. in fact remember it took demons holding him and gul'dan using fel magic to finally kill him after jumping onto a reaver and suffering the fall out from that.
Opening dialog: warriors dont posses super natural abilities nor have any magical abilities on their side... why do people keep saying this? Their Armor and Weapons are enchanted! i mean.. not all... but notable warriors end up with them... Doomhammer, Axe of cenarius, Varians sword, Frostmourne... these are just examples of NAMED weapons.. but even minor warriors had enchanted weapons, they just didnt have notable names. BTW nearly every elfs Weapon was enchanted including bows (high elves anyway). I guess to put it so yall understand.. the enchantments (which are magic) were also known as blessings edit: basically if a weapon has an inscription on it.. that inscription is probably the enchantment
Didn't the Axe of Cenarius just enhance Broxigar's innate strengths? I some how remember that it wasn't exactly an all powerful axe. For example, if a regular warrior tried wielding it, they would find little to no difference in it's power over another weapon, but a powerful and skilled warrior will find those attributes enhanced by it. I could be wrong, but I do remember hearing or reading that somewhere. Also, I believe he was cutting down demons left and right in Suramar before he was given the axe. And he is after all the only mortal to inflict a wound on a full strength Titan.
"warriors don't possess magical abilities". Yes, that's true. But judging from their feats of strength in the lore, various cutscenes, and how they stand up against magic wielders.... I like to think that their Rage/Adrenaline and Will/Courage manifests into magic-like capabilities. At least for the very top warriors. _ loTar was indeed a great araTi Vorrior in Vorld of Vorcraft, as Vos VErian Vrynn. :D:D:D :PPPP _ Varian: "unlimited stamina and hightened senses..." Yep. That's why he got stabbed in the back by a "cannon fodder" demon. Thanks Bliz, for killing the only alliance character with any semblance of a fanbase.
@@robertushaposan2048 Yeah i hated that too. Especially since Voljin was said to be "impossible to kill" with his superhuman vitality, willpower, luck, and unmatched cunning. He was my favorite warchief, as long as it lasted. But i didnt mention him cause they seem to be on to something in Shadowlands, i think he's making a return... maybe as a Loa?
I think warriors definitely have some magical abilites, maybe not all of them but some of the things that certain warriors do are very much inhuman. Whether it be basic arcane, or their bloodlust and adrenaline allows them to do insane feats, or whether they possess magical equipment, a lot of warriors aren't just dudes with armor and a weapon.
Jarod shadowsong deserved to be here. Same with huln highmountain. Both could represent their entire race's warriors. Also shouldn't include the Aldrachi because we know literally just a couple of paragraphs of lore about them.
“Now, watch them attack me. Pitiful! Do they think to take vengeance for their fallen? Do they come to challenge ME? I, who have won a hundred wars? I, who stood alone against thousands and still shouted for my enemies to come? No, these saurok will crumple before me like paper before the flame!” - Skeer the Bloodseeker
with the wound that broxigar inflicted on sargeras they were able to defeat him (closing a portal on him). they used all of the power in that soul thingy to focus on that wound which distracted sargeras while they closed the portal. without broxigars ultimate sacrifice; azeroth woulda been destroyed
Something u need to consider about toranar.he dis hit sargeras with everything and couldn't do anything but broxigar did no tricks nor feigned submission. And yes brox had a legendary axe but so did toranar.his whole races ancestors was linked to that weapon and fairly as a class weapon it had it's own capabilities.irrespective of how the race of cenerius is empowered by will of its wielder allowing it to only empower him as he empowered it fact is brox didn't rely on not warrior way of doing it.
Grommash still, in my opinion, should be higher than Brox, because he never lost, and defeated all him enemy, absolutely everyone who met in a battle against Grommash died or lost to him.
Tora-who? I totally expected Broxigar to be No.1 so when this random dude Ive literally never heard of (surprising considering how much I dwell in the lore) appeared I was quite surprised.
I was expecting to see him on the list as well. If Saurfang is on the list then Genn should be on there seeing as he could have killed Sylvanas but chose not to where Saurfang died fighting her. Sylvanas' powers could have increased since she fought Genn though but still. Genn could have killed her if he wanted to.
@@silverspear21 Sylvanas got a HUGE power up during BfA. During the War of Thorns it was even said Malfurion (you know the most powerful druid of all time) was the only one that might stand a chance against her. No one knew where the increase of power came from, though now with Shadowlands we know.
Muradin Bronzebeard was supposedly just as good in a fight as Lothar. Arthas was trained by him as a child and throughout his teens, and ended up being a badass who brought down Illidan and Uther for it. Magni was said to be as gifted as Muradin, but couldn’t spend as much time training due to his kingly responsibilities.
Nice top, aldrachi has a special skin thats a legión shield, and this warglaive are the tank weapon, no the havok, was a honor for me be the best dk tank in my Server with this warglaive, after read the aldrachi history
I'm really sad that we don't know anything about the Aldrachi other than Toranaar, them being a warrior race, and Sargeras seeking them out to fill his ranks. They seem eerily similar to Orcs by which I mean their society seems to be explained to have a "warchief" if you will or the strongest among them as their leader who wields the Aldrachi Warglaives. Blizzard has so much potential for future expansions and I hope we get to see Aldrachi that survived somehow or maybe even another alternate universe where we meet them as allies or something because I don't think people would like another warlords of draenor-like expansion any time soon.
So here we have at number 11 RAID shadow legends. Raid may not be the most powerful but is still very skilled in hand to hand combat & can slice 4 enemies with a single blow.
Soo toranaar and broxigar as basically the same story? -both come from a highly skilled warrior race, and being outstanding among them is already a noticeable achievement. -both could be described as “one man army” -both killed thousand of demons when the legion attacked their home (new home in the case of brox) -brox mocked sargeras and made him mad, making him take the matter in his own hands -toranaar fooled sargeras making him down his guard -both wounded sargeras, they did the impossible. -broxigar used an enchanted diamond hard axe, toranaar used regular glaives...THIS IS THE TIE BREAKER POINT?! Maybe i could argue that the axe being all magic-ish as described, it doesnt wield itself, nor give extra strenght or speed to the wielder. BUT, the toranaar tale doesnt say anything about the glaives besides being destined to be owned by the best of that race. Is like that episode of malcolm in the middle where in the krelboyne class, the teacher says they are to similiar, so hes gonna do fractions to grade them, so i guess brox got 9.9998 and toranaar got 9.9999.
Broxigar was the only warrior who took the fight to the enemy by going trough the portal and ending up on Argus. Proceeded to single handedly block the demons advance trough the portal until Sargeras himself came to kill him... And even then Broxigar managed to wound Sargeras. Sargeras! In his giant form!. And you put Toranaar before him? Toranaar with whom Sargeras toyed for days before he killed him just because he wanted to corrupt him instead of killing... You got my like for the effort... but not my respect! :D :D
I want to know, where would you place the Night Warrior? I think you may need to make a comment about this almost possession. Why she does not fall in to this space. Nothing more scary than the dark side of the moon.
Need to drop Garrosh down to last or off the list. That fight with Cairne was a loss without the poison and the same with Taran Zhu and the broken board. So that is 3 losses under his belt and he may not have even made it to Thrall without those plot wins lol
2 Things: when I saw Broxigar in 2nd place I was Holy SH*T who the hell is n°1? never heard of him, it's always a pleasure to learn a bit some more lore :) 2nd: To me Cairne is way too below on this list, he's not only the strongest Tauren (who are stronger than Orcs and Ogres) he's also 100 years old!! and that was before he fought alongside Thrall he can also use some magic/shamanism although I doubt we can take this into account, I really don't see Blackhand or Lothar beating him in any way even if Lothar is used to fight stronger ennemies, Cairne has a century of experience of fighting and surviving, I can hardly see even Doomhammer beating him honestly
