There’s a cool mod that’s “already” released called Turning Tides. Might not seem much right now but the developers are making a ocean themed sub world, with many bosses and weapons with really cool visuals.

The only reason that these mods are "lesser" among others is because anyone who plays calamity dosent bother to play anything else on tmodloader, is a real shame that people dosent know other mods that potentially can be on the same level of calamity as long they dont think just only CALAMITY mod, CALAMITY mod, CALAMITY mod.

I am more of a classic mods fan (Ancients Awakened, Spirit, Thorim, Calamity...), but I am not the Calamity Ultra Fanboy

⁠⁠⁠@@soshisoeah I love the classic mods as well. I’ve been playing the game since like 2013 and I remember when terraria first started getting mod support in 1.3 and thorium and tremor were like the top tier mods. I feel like thorium gets so outshined by calamity now which is so sad because it used to be the hottest mod for years. I do have to say though, calamity genuinely does deserve the insane amount of support it gets because it is insane how good it is. I just wish more people would actually branch out to some lesser known mods. Also how could I forget about Exxo Avalon mod from the pre 1.3 days? I remember that mod sort of introduced me to terraria mods after watching Baum’s playthrough. Damn the nostalgia.

@@hggpiIf you haven’t played Calamity than you’ve never played tModLoader. Calamity is THE terraria mod. Everybody that has tModLoader has played it.

Since the MCU's current approach to a multiverse concept seems to include like, every single Marvel-adjacent property, that therefore implies that Terraria is now a part of the Marvel multiverse because of the Marvel Terraria Universe mod.

I'm really happy that ancients awakened is coming back and better than ever. It was a really cool mod with some cool ideas just, some things had pretty glaring issues. I hive shadows of abbddon has the same revival

Shadows of abbadon i believe goes by sacred tools now and a mod quite similar i think you would like is secrets of the shadows bringing more crit based equipment to the spotlight

In one of my playthroughs the Ultranium underground biome thing blocked out the Polar Exterminator from Qwerty Mod until hardmode.

A hard boss wont always frustrate you. A good mod can make hard bosses, that still feel fun every time you attempt the boss.

Just finished my first Calamity playthrough last night, and that's definitely how I felt. Came out of boss rush with a shred of health, Calamitas' debuff, and half my potion cooldown left, but still plenty satisfied.

I have a question. Does anybody else have problem with calamity that everytime I play calamity I can play like 15min or so and then it says "lost connection" then I restart the server play for few minutes and says again "lost connection". After I have done restarting the server the game says more often "lost connection" (btw all progress that have been done in that playtime without manually saving will be lost). I have played calamity before but it hasn't ever done something like this. Somebody please help.

check out MEAC, its a japanese mod, but it essentially just adds an empress of light 2.0. It's an insanely colorful fight, where you have to learn patterns to defeat the boss. Awesome mod reviews as well!

There are mods to allow you to expand the world by the very map borders if I'm not wrong, but that's like, a hundred or so blocks per side so idk if it's too worth.

1.3 64Bit TModloader used to have an XL size world option. Unfortunately that feature hasn't been ported over to 1.4 yet.
