I used to be a prank fan back when I was in elementary school or middle school, but then I found out how these type of shitty RU-vidrs (or influencers) really are a few years ago. They're very entitled and cringey, and they have horrible acting too, and they even act like kids too, and they also clickbait for money all the time nowadays. They just only care about money, and not their subscribers or even anyone, but themselves. and they even beg for attention, clout, views, and likes as well.

Most of these “pranks” are not funny. They’re juvenile, cruel, dangerous, tasteless and in most cases illegal. RU-vid has a responsibility to remove the content or completely demonetize the channels. And the courts should also enforce a lifetime ban from ALL social media outlets on the guilty parties.

Prosecutors need to stop offering plea deals. If you have the evidence then make them face the felony and a prison sentence. Personally I think prosecutors that make deals with criminals that results in the criminal being released should be able to be sued by any and all future victims of that criminal.

I remember most of these but the toothpaste one always enraged me. Especially the fact he gets caught and says it will help clean his teeth, and he didn’t think he cleaned them since he was poor. It’s hard to tell if he thought that was a funny joke, or if he actually thought people would go “awe he was actually being thoughtful”. Regardless it’s so hard to wrap your head around how he could think either one

I think some pranks are rather controversial, and we all know pranks can be exposed in a wide range. Some pranks can be funny and harmless (in my perspective) and some of the major pranks can be taken WAAY too far and can be either controversial and/or just plain stupid and not funny at all.

The Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal has a series of prank videos. I generally find them silly but they are harmless. You often see them on airplanes b/c they are silent and thus can be shown in any country.

Remember seeing a killer clown prank gone wrong. Two guys dressed as killer clowns with knives tried to scare a group at a parking garage. Turns out they failed to realize they were in the hood. Was a fk around and find out moment because they got the "funny" beat out of them real fast.

Ross Creations is one of the only channels I don't generally have a problem with. Usually their videos are light hearted humor with positive reception. I feel like they typically go out of their way to avoid riling people up and causing problems; not to say it doesn't happen occasionally. I also agree that impersonating a cop is over the line so they have no excuse there. Also, they usually give victims money or rewards to make up for any inconvenience. Like if they waste a locksmith's time they pay them more than they would have gotten for the supposed work order. Pretty much all other prank channels I've seen are just inconsiderate children harassing people though.

I normally only tell jokes. As for pranks, it’s only worth it when the people are also in on it. Or are pranksters themselves. And if they aren’t, you may end up in the hospital like that dude did.
