That's the end of season 2 of the Vinland Saga. Now we will have to wait patiently again (I hope this time at least not for 4 years). Share your impressions about the season in the comments. #vinlandsaga #anime #manga
I truly have never been as obsessed with a show as i am with Vinland Saga. Its the only Anime series i have watched on my own and i consistently go back to it. Its just pure ART. Wit and Mappa really put their souls into this project and you can literally feel it every episode. I've never witnessed something that just gets consistently better and better with every iteration. Dont even get me started on the OST...
@@gionny03Yeah, and btw after chapter 207 or something i can't see anything else, where couls i read it entirely? Or have i finished it already? It's been some few months and i don't see any new chapters on any online page
@@RevenganCIrOn 22 February chapter 208 came out. I'm Italian and there's an Italian site where you can read all the chapter but I don't know other international site for reading Vinland saga
Pretty solid list... Here's my top 10 favorite moments of the season. 10. "Not a single good thing has happened in my entire life." (S2, Ep 3 - Snake) 9. Thorfinn's First Nightmare (S2, Ep 4 - Awakening) 8. Thorfinn's Speech to Einar about Slavery and Vinland (S2, Ep 15 - Storm) 7. "It's Better to be empty if you want to be reborn" (S2, Ep 8 - Empty Man) 6. Arnheid's final moments and Thorfinn's Vinland Speech (S2, Ep 20 - Pain) 5. Gardar's cart ride with Arnheid as he slowly dies (S2, Ep 17 - Way Home) 4. Thorfinn and Canute peace talks (S2, Ep 22 - Emperor Of Rebellion and Ep 23 - Two Paths) 3. "I have no enemies" (S2, Ep 22 - Emperor Of Rebellion) 2. The Hand Shake (S2, Ep 23 - Two Paths) 1. Thorfinn's Oath (S2, Ep 9 - Oath)
@@MattGarcyaDC don't forget the "Carve it" scene from the second last episode. The juxtaposition with the first, and how both of them somehow makes sense in their own contexts was mind blowing
@insanecamel986 the carve it scene literally gave me chills. One of the last things it said was "carve that encounter into me" and Vinland Saga will certainly be with me for the rest of my life.
I am Japanese. I've been watching Japanese animation for 50 years. This is a masterpiece of Japanese animation. I'm grade to watch this with original language.
Episode 9 definitively is a masterpiece with his own confrontation and seeing akkselad on his visions because his words at season 1 finale were also a before and after on Thorfinns psique. Also i really liked the episode where Thorfinn tells Einar he is actually his friend making him consider that probably is his first friend since his father dead and also the evolution of these 2 friendship to the point of calling brother themeselves at the end of the season. I just loved season 2
At first when Gardar first showed up, i thought he was this person so full of anger and anger only. The time he saw Arnheid again and said "my wife!" i really thought he was delusional. I thought he was this abusive person. Now he's my favorite character in season 2.
Its a cliche for a shonen anime where protagonist will motivate to be strongest person when it comes to fighting but vinland is so unique thorfinn teach us to be better stronger person not from fighting or combat be a stronger person from within❤
Ummm, shonen is about having strong soul too. In Vinland Saga it was just especially pointed out and the storytelling is amazing. Vinland has enough cliches in manga too, unfortunately. But it's still a great story.
when i first watched this it baffled me how many people were hating on the second season cus as amazing and entertaining the fights in the first season were the story and thorfinns character arc is so incredibley written and animated the fights dont even compare. i imagine the same people who hate it only watch op mc anime cus they clearly dont have good taste
if only world leaders watched this, there would be no war..every soldier they send is just another stranger for the other soldiers, how come they are enemies. they only met for the first time yet they are tasked to kill them, some you dont even see and you blew them up
In the fight against Snake, Thorffin would've killed him if he had his knives. Its insane the speed he has that Snake barely dodge his punches now imagine him with the knives. I would like to see something like that.
you missed the scene where thorfinn promises he'll be reborn and never hurt anyone again and the part where einar and thorfinn shake hands to build vinland
They can really keep this anime going like a bloodline generation all the way up to a Persian or Egyptian timeline by keeping the same scenarios through out war in history how a kid becomes a soldier of war by emotions then battling his inner demons
Let me say this the fights in s2 (ie 100 punches and snake vs thorfin) wouldn't have hit nearly as hard as they do if the series was just nonstop action. In these fights its no longer about needless violence we see a new man, a man with a reason to fight, not for others but for defending those around him. It doesn't matter how much pain he has to go through it only matters that those around him are safe. Thorfin is a changed man as we see through the small amounts of action in the series and that makes those bits of action 100% better to watch as the viewer.
Thorkell is probably one of the funniest chars tbh, dude annihilates two of the king's main guards and hits the king and casually swims away like nothing lmaoo
This season is one of the best and also one of the worst, cause the love i had for season 1 was not there, the action and the ruthlessness was gone. as a standalone i would have loved season 2 but as a continuation its a disappointment to take a different tangent all together
That was the point of the show tho. Season one should display the war and the horrors it brings with it. Season 2 is how he overcomes it. But I get that people who think this is a Acton fighting anime got baited.
@@patrickjung7812 yeah I get that, which is why the first few episodes of S2 are what I loved but after 5 episodes it got boring, and this is coming from someone who went throught the manga as well. I wanted to see the old ruthlessness in few fights, other than the snake fight there was nothing. And the coming season will be the same. I think as a managa it's fun to read but as a anime we need moments that make us remember the anime, but there was none
