You missed something HUGE about the heck blaster, it unjams enemies, and that includes bosses. Say your on a 9 curse run and the Lich is jammed. Instead of having to fight a double damage lich, all you gotta do is shoot it with the heck blaster and its not jammed anymore. And as for my personal opinion I actually like the heck blaster quite a bit, though of course thats just my opinion.
Heck blaster has a decent DPS, a pratically perfect precision and shoots really fast, which can benefit a lot from bullet upgrades. Plus it looks cool and is very fun to use. So yeah, it's a low tier gun alright, but it doesn't belong in the top ten worst.
Looking at the wiki, the mega douser does triple the damage of the plunger. Also, read the ammonomicon, the Klobbe IS supposed to be "the worst gun in the Gungeon" Which is a lie because...Nailgun. Edit: Nevermind, Nailgun redemption arc. Just had a run with it last week and not only is it satisfying to shoot, I got a synergy which made it go sicko mode.
Plus you can combo the mega douser with snowballer to make it freeze enemies and leave a ice trail we’re you shoot to make you slip on to make it a good escape tool for intense fights. I sound like a bot in that sentence
The reason the heck blaster in my books is it is a great crowd control weapon, but also can be utilized by shooting jammed enemies/bosses which immediately converts them to normal
The Mega Douser can put out fuses without damaging a chest, it cleans most hazards, and the high ammo pool means it's ideal for ramping up Platinum Bullets The Klobbe has got to be the biggest joke gun in the game, though. If you manage to get the Cog of Battle, then it becomes pinpoint accurate, deals 10x damage, and has a HUGE ammo pool to boot. The Plunger, Screecher and Phoenix are all bad tho.
if you duct tape plunger to another weapon you can recover ammo on poison. Same with stunning enemies with screecher, but phoenix is straight up dogshit
Molotov Launcher gets way, way, way better when you realize that guns you're not using reload themselves after a few seconds. Fire the molotov, swap guns to something else, blast away, and after 7-8 seconds swap back and launch another one.
Mega douser is op as all crap if you have battery bullets tho. Not to mention it's an amazing gun to duct tape other, high damage guns to, because of its ammo capacity.
@@DelucksGaming518 imo mega douser is hella op as a beam weapon it insta destrys the misiles from bosses it also has great utility fo finding the rat trap door and the key item in the hollow also great on challenge runs
Are y'all just forgetting the jk-47? That thing plagues my chests and it's always so disappointing to think you have an ak-47 when you actually get a weapon as weak as a starting pistol and shoots even slower
2:23 The bow has a few synergies like bow and sling also it has a third charge which is able to clear most of the wave of enemies with one shot, basically an easier to obtain big shooty gun
The Klobbe’s description is literally “the worst gun in the game” in the ammopedia it’s based off of the worst gun in the game in golden eye it’s a self aware bad one
The Phoenix is pretty good now because of its synergies. With the right items (or if you’re playing as the gunslinger) it can increase its damage by up to 50% and give you a permanent Phoenix companion that follows you and shoots small fireballs, of course the companion is pretty bad but its still good to have a some small extra support.
You are forgetting the thing about the plunger and the molotove is that they're openers, they are helpful to use real quick at the start of a room or boss then you swap to a different weapon.
You know Aftet getting it in a run. I somewhat disagree that the heckblaster is that bad. It has good DPS a large amount of ammo and can really help you save better ammo in your guns. There are better guns and it feels more like a C rank gun I agree but I do disagree with it being on the list. Also it’s helpful in the abby of the true gun since it knocks enemies out of being jammed.
I mean that’s fine I figured it was that bad in your opinion. I was just stating mine on the gun. Don’t let it bother you as you said you are new to making top tens.
Good things about each of these guns: Screecher: very efficient at finding secret rooms Bullet: works great with blank bullets, great at corwd control Wind-up gun: piercing bullets, pretty good synergies Heck blaster: unjams enemies, gunjurers won't pick up these bullets Bow: oneshots enemies at early floors, has pretty nice synergies Phoenix: Phoenix companion ♥ Plunger: infinite ammo if you reload on any liquid, go mad with this gun at the beginning of a room and then switch you your main calibre while the poison does its job Molotov launcher: great at crowd controll, use it as a side weapon Mega douser: very good as the Robot, if aquired on the first floor can be a easy way to extinquish the fireplace Klobbe: no
I like the bullet, phoenix, plunger and Molotov launcher. I was expecting to see that boat that you have to charge since it takes forever to kill anything.
imo the Camera would be the worst "gun" in the game. It's a room hitter, sure, but for one it has a semi distracting flash effect, and two it doesn't even do much damage to warrant usage past Floor 1. It can't even reveal secret walls which im sure even the fucking KLOBBE of all things can do.
Sorry to be “that guy” But the plunger can also kill Rockets from the Beholster and similar attacks from othet enemies. (Also it’s good for being more support then damage IMO.) Same with the megadouser it can reveal hidden rooms with it’s large clip And also it’s possible it can reveal rainbow chests that are hidden as brown chest. So there are uses for them.
DBfan I do agree with what you’re saying because you are right but the purpose of this list was to rank their practicality and they are decently situational
My personal list (sorry, its my opinion :( I will also include synergies for guns as you can determine its true potential with synergies, like flare gun basically being an A rank gun with all its synergies, but no bullet upgrades. Starting guns included.) 10. Nail Gun Nail gun may be bad, but its synergies definitely make it much better, and barely made it to this list below bullet. 9:Rogue Special Pilot is not only one of if not the worst gungeoneer, especially because of its dreaded range and accuracy. 8. Wind Up Gun As far as I know, there is a synergy that makes it have its stronger bullets for the entire magazine, but overall its still bad. 7.Sawed Off Imagine the regular shotgun, an ALREADY bad gun, and make it so much worse. It can be devastating and is a starter weapon, so it has no synergies. 6. Screecher Though i personally like the screecher, it isnt that good in general. Low range and pretty bad damage, it goes on this list. 5. Pheonix This gun. Oh boy. Even with its owl, its still a horrible gun. 4.Unfinished Gun This gun may be an op gun when finished, but not when it isnt. The gun burns out its bullets at far range, so its bascially useless. 3.Klobbe while still being a fAnTaStIc gun, is better than the last 2 on this list. 2.Dart Gun Cultists gun really sucks. Thats it Honorable Mentions Mega Douser:This gun is pretty good with synergies. Budget Revovler:even with a bad magazine clip, it still makes it up for fast fire rate. 1. OH GOD, ITS THE DUELING PISTOL Dear god this gun is horrible. I cant even explain how bad it is. Recommend selling it to sell creep or munching it
I like the wind up, but maybe that's because I obsessively reload and miss those last bullet in the chamber effects and the wind up is better than the starters
OK. I just got done with a run (I died) and HOLY CRAP is the Dueling Pistol trash. I fought the bullet king and it took me about 3 minutes to kill him with it, with only about 35 bullets left out of 120. it does 10 dmg, only has 1 shot in the chamber, and takes 1 second to reload. I would have rather gotten any weapon on this list then the the dueling pistol, maybe even the Klobbe...maybe....
Couple days ago I got the screecher and I had orbital bullets, so every soundwave would orbit over the enemies doing damage multiple times. Very situational, but it was incredibly good that one run, I had other good guns but actually used that one for bosses for dps
Heck Blaster is an S tier grab in high curse runs. You get high damage modifiers on those bullets and suddenly your dps is off the roof, while negating the main disadvantage of curse which is the harder enemies. So yeah. The Douser and The Plunger have also utility beyond their function as a gun. The knockback is great for dealing with enemies in ledge rooms and they can put out fuses in chests. Not to mention useful synergies.
Are you saying that if I pick up these guns in the first chamber I should restart? Because I'm definitely not trying to fight the first chamber boss with my sidearm.
Damage is by no means the end-all determinant of gun quality. Mega-douser: Great item for cursed runs due to utility. Put out chest fuses + push enemies into pits (Especially useful in Oubliette in tight spaces with jammed enemies when you have low DPS). Hardly worth mentioning, but Robot gains combat utility since he starts with Battery Bullets. Heck Blaster: As others have mentioned, it has high utility due to its ability to unjam enemies and bosses. On cursed runs, there's no real benefit to fighting jammed bosses, and there are some enemies it's better to unjam before fighting, so it's *VERY* useful. Like the Mega-douser, you aren't meant to use this as a weapon, but a tool. Anything that applies poison can be very useful with jammed enemies when you're underpowered, allowing you to concentrate on finding cover/kiting, leaving the status effect to wear the enemy down. Poison *DOES* do decent damage. It also has utility as a defuser. Wind Up Gun is decent, especially as an early game drop. I don't find it fun to use and, like all the other 'pew-pew' GI Joe/Star Wars little half-'lazor' beam weapons, feels super underwhelming, but it is a decent weapon. Seriously, all of the beam-projectile weapons feel like crap to use. Molotov Launcher, Screecher, Bullet, and especially Klobbe are bad weapons. Screecher has some utility for checking walls for secret rooms (woohoo). Bullet is bad due to it's lack of accuracy. If any readers are unsure as to why you'd do a cursed run, it's simply because jammed enemies drop more casings. More money = more keys = more powerful builds, long run.
What about that balloon gun that breaks if you get hit once? That thing is terrible. What about the nail gun? Worse. How about the d-pad gun? Horrible.
The windup without the clover is certified F tier quality but it’s upgrades to easy A+ with it. But the blaster is infinitely useful for high curse runs considering the benefits of curse and curse items.
bullet can be overpowered if you have that double shot ability itll make ur game lag but u can kill bosses very quick. especially if u get the shotgun varient synergy its broken. but yea alone its decent but its not ass
The bullet as a base is pretty bad imo but it has a synergy with the shell that is really good duel weilder Its one of those guns you put in your backpocket and hope it gets better ( kinda like trash cannon )
I'm going to to put my opinion on each of your weapons in your list screecher: i agree, every time I use this weapon it feels like an eternity before the enemy can die the Bullet: i don't think it's that bad, it's a pretty decent gun with slightly less damage the wind up: i'm pretty sure it's because I play the marine most the time with his shorter reload time but the wind up is pretty good in my opinion if you get any items that decrease your reload time in any way The Blaster: It's not as bad as the screecher in damage and fire rate but against the bosses it's atrocious but one of its big upsides is that it unjams enemies, Especially when you're fighting a big enemy like a gun nut or a boss the bow: yeah, it's a bow. It's not supposed to be good It's supposed to have a long charge up time but large damage, what the hell were you expecting? Explosive rounds? charm? The Phoenix: fuck the Phoenix. The plunger: it's a pretty decent gun if you get the atrocious damage and that you can accidentally poison yourself out of the way the Molotov launcher: i don't know why you put it as the shotgun since it's a really good gun but the Molotov launcher is only good for its fire effect, you don't use it all the time you use it in combination with another gun. The Mega Dowser: again you're not supposed to use this all the time You're supposed to use the in combination with another gun like for ice and electricity, the Mega Dowser is amazing if you're playing as the robot with its electricity and if you get certain synergies or upgrades it can freeze entire rooms. I'm not even going to say the horrid name of the last gun you mentioned on the list It is 100% the worst gun in the entire fucking game unless you're playing as the gunslinger.
Fairly good list, but I do have to disagree with the heck blaster being on this list solely because of it's ability to dejam enemies, other than that, good list
While I do agree on some of your opinions I thought I'd share a piece of my mind on some of them The plunger, while yes pretty much garbage, has the benefit of basically having infinite ammo so at least it has something going for it The heck blaster is pretty okay in my opinion especially since it unjams any enemy it hits and its insane fire rate pretty much guarantees chance based on shot effects to go off The mega douser has incredible utility be it puddle based harards, bomb chests, secret room finding, or countering beholster rockets The others I do agree with, though the phoenix at least has the 'phoenix up' synergy going for it
I disagree with the molotov launcher being on this list I think how it is supposed to be used is that you shoot it then switch to another gun that shoots faster while your enemies are being burned by the molotov
you missed some bad guns: -derringer (ok damage, but the ammo clip sucks) -freeze ray (its literally a gun made from a synergie from mega douser) -unfinished gun (phoenix gun but without the fire) -sawed-off (its trash) -blunderbuss (D tier gun) -gunslinger's ashes (very bad ammo duration) -tear jerker (not good, better with battery bullets) I think there are more guns but im too lazy to put em, also bullet its not that bad tho
Well I disagree with the Mega-Douser being one of the worst, by itself, yeah, but with Battery Bullets, or any weapon that can cause electricity this weapon can be REALLY good. Also this weapon is good if you broke your water barrel on floor 1.

I disagree with a large majority of this list. Everyone says that the wind up gun is bad, and I don't know why. Its not a powerful gun by any means, but its not bad. The first half of a clip pierce, and its fast reload time more than makes up for the fact that the second half of the clip is bad. Another thing that I disagree with is the bullet, and I think that most people agree with me. It does a lot more damage that you realize, and in a room filled with enemies, it has great area denial. With the plunger, poison does a lot more damage than you think. And with the mega douser (this also applies to the plunger to, but to a lesser degree), while it is situational, it has a lot of knockback, meaning if you are cornered, or the enemy is close to a pit, it can be really useful. With the Molotov launcher, sure it has a slow reload, but fire is really powerful. Similar to the rpg, you can just switch to another gun while you are waiting for it to reload. And, finally, the heck blaster. It can unjam enemies. Simple as that. Tl;Dr: goop is more powerful than most people think, you are just plain wrong about the bullet, wind up gun is not as bad as most people think, heck blaster is good, and mega douser/plunger go brrrrrrr This took me 15 minutes to write, so you better read this.
The klobbe is a reference to goldeneye on the Nintendo 64, which has a gun called the klobb...which is said to be the worst gun in that game as well, so it is a joke gun.
Molotov launcher is actually a great gun especially with synergies. Plunger and hyper do have uses such as great for fire in first floor , hyper is rly good with synergies. Plunger is bs though
Pretty late for comments, but i have to say that the Heck blaster is not so bad. if you use Double vision or Potion of gun friendship it does pretty good dps to bosses. I'm only at start of the game so this might not be so true though.
Eh imo the douser is more useful then u think Sure its week but the fact that it fires a never ending stream of water and pushes most enemies away makes it pretty useful in the right situations
