+I Hate Everything You shouldn't have commented! Everyone will be asking you to be on the podcast! That or saying I love your vids/I didn't know you watch pan pizza!
I remember the worldwide day of play. I was 8 years old, and in the lobby of a hospital waiting diagnosis for a bladder infection and a urinary tract infection (which i had simultainiously). I was enjoying my time watching spongebob, until suddenly, the TV cuts out, and repeats the same shit over and over again "its the day of play, go outside". Confined to a seat as it was because it hurt to stand up, it was the biggest Fuck You from nickalodian ive ever had.
+Spack Jeeka I remember when I was about 9, I was home alone and too scared to go upstairs to turn the TV off when my mom went to work. It felt so much longer than three hours hearing the same message over and over again. Unable to go outside with my friends because my mom wasn't home. Scared shitless of the repetitive message. FUCK Day of Play.
+Spack Jeeka i feel you once when i was of a punishment i tried watching nick (it was the only kids channel we had at the time) i was forced to hear that same message over and over and i couldnt do anything else because i didnt know how to use a computer and i didnt know how to read so all i did was sit there while every other kid was watching cartoon network
I think if Nick did pick those shows up, they would've lasted two seasons at most and halfway through the second get moved over to nicktoons which is the kiss of death for any show, I especially see this fate happening to Adventure Time.
instead of shutting down the air for 3 hours, nick should do exercise videos with voices and animation from hit shows like Spongebob, FOP, whatever else actually is good, etc. thatd be way better.
The funny part about it is their's no point. If their going to just not air shows for 3 hours, whats stopping the people watching to just go watch cartoon network. It's so stupid, and it actually hurts the Network.
Immortal Derp Why? Shouldn't there be snow during that time. No one wants to go outside in the cold they'd rather be sleeping under 3 sheets of blankets.
"And the killer was:" "HALT! THIS IS AN IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FROM NICK STUDIO 10!" For those who know nothing about the Civil War: "The winner of Gettysburg was:" "HALT!"
Speaking of Nick Studio 10, does anybody remember when they promoted the Jimmy Neutron movie by having Jimmy interrupt episodes of other shows? I remember he changed the audio of a Rugrats episode to dogs barking, and turned an episode of Spongebob into a puppet show.
@@pkkingcrimsonrequiem1332 not really considering his video was came accross as extremely manipulative using a large amount of factors that are used by people who are lying to try and get people on their side.
@@someguyinspace2213 except the major fact that the relationship was polygamous until his wife didn't want it to be which is how this type of relationship is supposed to work. She is still in the right with seeing other people as he never expressed he didn't want her to. He is a moron for this. In regards to the underage pics thing his channel is mainly aimed at a younger audience with a few exceptions so him making an 18+ chat is extremmely irresponsible as it is very clear that kids and younger people will lie about their age and I am very sure he would have been well aware of this but either didn't care or was hoping for that. Finally the fact that his chat was geared towards fans in the first place is EXTREMELY manipulative and scummy and for that point alone he can fuck him self as many people who would post may feel pressured to do so because they may have looked up to him. In generalthe whole situation is fucked and both parties are bad however Jared is a scumbag shitpile who deserves no respect kindda like another dumbass who I have encountered.
Nickelodeon approached Amy Winfrey to make a TV show of her web cartoon "Making Fiends", and promised her 20 episodes. But only 6 episodes were made and Nick cancelled it after that. And since Nick owns the rights, Amy isn't allowed to make more shorts using those characters ever again.
Rule of making a deal with a TV network: make different cartoon characters before handing yours off to a TV Network. The creator of the Simpsons did the same thing to protect his own character. Id advise artists to do the same if they wanna make a deal with a network like Nickelodeon(unless you like to gamble it for chance that is).
One day, I walked through Target and I heard this one woman say "I don't let my kids watch things that say 'shut up' in it." And she said it like she was *noble* 🤦♂️
You think that's bad? It has been reported that Viacom were uploading the clips themselves. They tried to sue RU-vid over themselves copyright infringing... themselves... I'm sure other people were doing it too, but that's pretty scummy.
1 cancelling Invader Zim 2 cancelling Legend of Korra 3 continued with Spongebob after its official ending 4 chosing Fanboy and Chum Chum over Adventure Time 5 cancelling Harvey Beaks and treating the creator like crap 6 cancelling My life as a teenage robot 7 no more reruns of 90s-00s shows 8 memes 9 ruining Fairly Oddparents 10 making too many bad shows after Avatar until Harvey Beaks
sonysfan19992 my 10: 10: horrible teen sitcoms after iCarly, victorious, and BTR ended 9: the horrible treatment of Legend of Korra 8: destroying their Nicktoons channel 7: oversaturation of SpongeBob 6: Their attempts at adult cartoons 5: Harvey beaks mistreatment 4; Nick news 3: Day of play 2: Viacom overreacting to fair use 1: cancelling shows before their time was up (Danny Phantom, My life as a Teenage Robot, El Tigre, Avatar etc.)
13:42 That's actually scary, those emergency alert things terrify me- And the fact that it cuts off the happy lil "Worldwide Day of Play" guy makes it worse-
"Not picking up Ed Edd and Eddy or Adventure time when they had the chance. " To be completely honest, they probably would've ruined those two shows. They also wouldn't have lasted as long either.
+GrayFoxxGaming I also don't understand why Nick hasn't picked up anime. I mean, it did pick up Yu-Gi-Oh, but I think that was it. In fact, the lack of anime is the reason why I never watched Nickelodeon as much as Fox Kids or Cartoon Network as a child.
+Bacab they did pick up Little Battlers Xperience, a level 5 game that looks cool! but i heard the dub was questionable. they need to fix up their scheduling for their shows in general.

アメージング動画 RU-vid It was during the time that sponge out of water was in theaters, and Viacom suddenly got really aggressive towards their stuff and a lot of channels and videos were taken off of youtube.
you can find it on a European channel called POP, its usually runs crappy cgi kids shows and totally spies but you will find a few episodes of it almost daily. unless of course you are in America so this is no use to you.
During the world wide day of play one year, it was raining, and I didn't know about Cartoon Network. I stared at the message playing on Nickelodeon the whole time, waiting for my shows to come back. Life sucked back then.
Regarding Korra: its predecesor was treated poorly too. Season 3 started airing 9 months after the 2nd season concluded, but Nick only aired the first half of the episodes and waited another 8 months before showing the rest of the episodes, including the absolutely fantastic four-part series finale, over one week. Hell, before nick could air those last episodes, some of them aired in Canada, a book was published detailing what happens in the finale, and the DVDs for some of the unaired episodes were released. Nick has no fucking idea how to treat Avatar. They never did. They don't deserve a show as good as Avatar.
Oh that's bad. I mean, wasn't Avatar successful? And, was Korra a failure? What's the excuse. It's obvious that american TV broadcasters don't know how to air animated story driven shows.
Here's a few honorable mentions: Danny Phantom getting cancelled to make room for more teen sitcoms; Having Spongebob on for too long; Having Fairly Odd Parents on for too long; My Life As A Teenage Robot getting cancelled too soon.
Also cartoons that didn't last very long because they didn't fit in to Nickelodeon's "Spongebob standards" Oh and also: Kid's Choice Awards... that's it
To stop the oversaturation of Spongebob on Nickelodeon, How about we broadcast reruns of old Nickelodeon shows that arent even airing on Nicktoons anymore?
This is gaslighting at its finest. Actually, I think Nickelodeon, especially as a sitcom channel and even as Nickelodeon Movies for having far more trash movies than just TLA, gets way too much praise even though it only deserves hate and death.
Nick News was the absolute WORST. It was always so disappointing when that came on, like "Well...I'll just go to bed then I guess." It was pointless too, no little kids cares about the real world issues they talked about nor was it in anyway insightful or interesting. And some of it was downright scary (the kidnapping episode) or misleading, like when they gave the Harry Potter book burners speaking time and therefore legitimacy. Thats like real news networks giving flat earthers and climate change deniers speaking time without calling out how ridiculous they are.
+colby brown (zzcolby27) a bunch of idiots thought Harry Potter was brainwashing kids and endorsing Satanism. spoiler alert, turns out they were just stupid.
***** exactly. There's no basis for it. Just a bunch of idiots who need their opinions to be validated so they claim something is evil and try to convince everybody else it is too.
My reaction to Nightcore: Stick to Daycore. My reaction to Nickcore (a portmanteau of Nickelodeon and Nightcore): OH GOD, AS IF NIGHT COULDN’T BE A BIGGER ASSAULT TO THE EARS!!!!! THIS IS *WAY* WORSE!!!!! EVEN NIGHTCORE STANS WOULD HATE LISTENING TO THIS!!!!!!!
I say we dig it up on Viacom! Tweet at em like "How could you let this person be on your channel!" It would be a shitshow and everyone loves a good shitshow!
Ugh. Remembering Constant Payne and the potential it could have had still hurts. How it got killed off exemplifies the toxic waste dump that is America's televised cartoon industry. Creators get nothing but crumbs and if you so much try to buck that, you'll get fed to the wolves. Or they'll decide quality shows like Megas XLR and Symbiotic Titan aren't worth keeping around so they cancel them and write them off their taxes, effectively killing those franchises forever. No wonder a lot of creative talent avoid Nick & CN and it's reflected by their barren schedules now.
Jack Ream I know, and also for some reason I thought that the ad system would have ads timed randomly, but it appears that they're placed by the creator (At least, I'm assuming.)
I'm really surprised that Invader Zim wasn't mentioned. In my opinion, it was one of the best shows they ever had. For those of you who don't know, it was about an alien named Zim who was always trying to conquer Earth, but always failed because of his own stupidity. It's very popular because of it's dark humor. It's almost like Nick's answer to CN's Grim Adventures(in fact, Billy's voice actor also did the voice for Zim). The show was cancelled because of conflicts between the show's creator, Jhonen Vasquez, and the studio. Apparently Nick tried their hardest to restrict Invader Zim's dark atmosphere and make it more child friendly......which is kind of strange considering that the reason they got Invader Zim in the first place was because they wanted a show to bring in the older preteen/teen demographic. I remember reading somewhere about how Vasquez hated working with Nickelodeon, because they were so controlling and afraid of trying new things, and this was back in the early 2000s. Now, it's really showing. All Nick cares about now is SpongeBob, because he makes them the most money and he's safe. Even Spongebob has become shit now, though....
Looking back at it, no wonder dan "the man with kids in his van but he can't fit inside so he'll have to hide her" Schneider had projared cameo in his show...
*Hundredth like* John Cena was too good for this network (and World Wrestling Entertainment), yet they decided to keep him (of course, Nick would make him look worse than WWE. Because if you thought the latter had too many racially problematic moments, that’s nothing compared to what the former always had to offer!).
i love how, a few years back, Cartoon Network produced two or three GOOD shows and a TON of mediocre garbage that pandered to trends, while Nick was the CREAM OF THE CROP of kids' TV. how, how the turns have tabled.
I think honestly Disney channel is the top right now for shows that isnt on streaming- Like, The owl house, the ducktales reboot, and amphibia are all really good for what i hear, all nick and cartoon network are doing these days is nonstop reruns of Spongebob, loud house / Teen titans go and Gumball now. Its honestly sad how much better netflix original cartoons are compared to TV that ruled the 90s and 2000s.
I know, right? Damn that shit is loud and terrifying..whenever it comes on TV(even as a test warning) I try to mute it as soon as possible because it terrifies me
It's the fucking monotone voice and the way it describes a deadly situation, which could potentially kill you. It's like why can't we get a real human to explain it properly and help more.
Wow, and I thought Cartoon Network was going down hill. At least they're still capable of making good shows but Nickelodeon just has Spongebob, Spongebob and more Spongebob. But hey at least something good came from Nickelodeon making poor choices. They made Cartoon Network possible
+Redcord CHN Have you seen the network lately? Want to see how bad it went down? Check out a guy on RU-vid named phantomstrider1. He did a list of the top 10 worst Nickelodeon shows. It's worth checking out.
I've watched all of pan's videos. I've watched most of them many times. This one is no different. But the Linda Ellerbee "ass" joke never fails to make me laugh.
I agree with this list, especially with the over-saturation. Can't they just air a few re-runs of Invader Zim or something besides only airing Spongebitch? Would it REALLY hurt them to do that?
+Shadowzen Moonlight (KittenMuffinThing) There are some DVD releases of Invader Zim, but they're hard to come by, for a reasonable price at least. And Jhonen Vasquez has no plans to revive the series.
Nickelodeon actually passed on Billy and Mandy, too. Also, they didn't really reject Ed Edd n Eddy. They wanted the show but they also wanted creative control, but Danny was like "Ah, hell, nah" and he took his show to CN.
I remember when the worldwide day of play was on I was watching my 3 favorite channels at the time, CN and Disney. Both CN and Disney were having shitty movies (CN was airing Scooby Doo and Disney was airing "Starstruck") on at the time so I turned to Nickelodeon right when they were counting down to go off the air!
+[thomasandmario7] My ENTIRE childhood- I'd drive myself insane because nothing else was on and I didn't want to go out. Hell I'd let it loop for a while before finally turning it off.
I remember the first time that world wide day of play thing came on. I was in my room playing and I was too lazy to get up and change the channel, but I could still hear the sound effects in the background. I would have been very disturbed if that tin can voice broke the sound of the birds chirping to tell me there were toxic chemicals filling the air
How I imagine the audiences for Nick at Nite and Adult Swim (pretty much back when they were compared a lot) Nick at nite’s audience reminds me of those families of a wine mom with a husband that was in the military, both in their late 30s-40s and they have a minivan, a golden retriever, have 4 kids with butchered names, and go to church every Sunday at 8am. Or those college sorority girls who think any show with a laugh track on it = funny Adult swim’s audience is either “rebellious” and “edgy” kids/teens who wanna stay up past their bedtime, frat and gamer male college students that are like 18 to mid 20s, people who only watch for anime, cookie monster pajama girls, skater emo guys who live off monsters and rockstars 24/7, or those trailer park moms/dads who either stay up at night watching it, fall asleep watching it, or doesn’t give af and lets their kids watch it I don’t understand why they were battling, I know they’re adult networks but the audiences are the complete opposite. I could get if Comedy Central and Adult Swim were arguing because they both had the same audience back then but Adult Swim and Nick at Nite is an odd battle
I like how RebelTaxi handles a video getting taken down. No separate video denouncing anyone or causing drama, just a sarcastic "Okay lets do this quick before Viacom catches me making a video under criticism and fair use." Even if something is unfair I don't wanna see the next 15 videos all about how ridiculous something is.
+Starchild 23 well, most are ages 5+, they need to learn santa isnt real, and that the world is shitty, if they dont learn it soon they will grow up into anxty teens
I do remember once year I actually did go outside but that only lasted like an hour (so little time to do in a small backyard) before going back in and using the DVR to watch some KND I recorded or even straight up changing it to Cartoon Network.
Newsround on CBBC in the UK was an example of how to do News correctly for children. They adjusted some of the language to make it less dramatic but they did not shy away from explaining more complicated matters either. There response to the tragic suicide of CBBC presenter Mark Speight was handled with dignity and never spoke down to children watching. They also aired relevant documentaries about cyberbullying and divorce. There is always room for News in Kids TV benefit even if it was just a 5-15 minutes a day show if it presented, written and edited correctly then that is enough time to briefly explain what is going on around the world.
totally agree with the day of play thing. I remember one year I went to my grandparents house down in Moore, Oklahoma. I had no idea who lived in the area, My grandparents had no use for kids toys (cuz they are like 80) so I had no toys. they had a sprinkler system so good luck playing games on the front lawn. they had a really steep hill in the back yard but the wagon we had broke, and They didnt have cable and all I could get was nick. Considered my situation I just wanted to sit my ass down and watch some spongebob. However I was "lucky" enough to have arrived on the day where they were having that day of play so I had to suffer through absolute blankness for like 3 hours. Thanks Nick. My only light out of this boredom and you betrayed me
