She was still more popular than Clippy. She was second for "most annoying" on that poll after Clippy though. The big problem with Erin Esurance as a mascot was that she was tailor-made for a specific demographic (18-30 year old men--the same group esurance was mainly marketing to back in the day), where she worked really well (some would argue *too* well), but that outside of that demographic she wasn't well-liked. When they were trying to expand beyond their original demographic, they had to get rid of her due to both the porn and the lack of appeal she had outside of that one group
