Yknow? I actually really like how this list isn't STRICTLY least favorites, but songs that are "bad" because they're inappropriate and confusing in context. Personally I LIKE the pikmin title screen theme. It's nice and tranquil, fine for a title screen. But I cant even begin to fathom why they tried to ADVERTISE with it. It makes the game seem so... boring. And the song choices for smash are also just... bizarre. I wouldn't mind if there were just a FEW cutsey/calm songs. But cmon, Nintendo, give us some upbeat remixes too! How 'bout some boss battle music? Or remixes of stage themes, like Forest Navel?

Graphite Gulch? Seriously? That's probably my favorite track from Pikmin 2 along with Bulblax Kingdom. It really gives the atmosphere of the remnants of a long lost civilization. It reminds me of Lanayru Sand Sea from Skyward Sword.

14:04, I’d have to argue with you about Tane no Uta, it’s fantastic, and one of my favourites in Brawl, the music doesn’t need to be super intense for a fighting game, the fact that this and Ai No Uta was removed in Ultimate is a tragedy; Brawl was the game that got me into Pikmin as a kid, and I loved the music.

Wait, that final song is listed as a PIKMIN song?! It's just what you said - ambient noises!

That Fox vs. Falco footage though... Also, I'm kinda upset that you put Graphite Gulch on this list. That happens to be one of my favourite cave songs in Pikmin 2. It's so bleak and atmospheric, and it reminds you that you're on a planet that once belonged to a large, thriving civilization that is now long gone. I can think of several other songs from Pikmin 2 that could have taken its place on the list. However, its presence isn't enough to make me dislike this video. Also also, why do I get this feeling that Dazz made this video as an excuse to vent his frustration at Pikmin's marketing/representation in Smash Bros.?

Maybe if they replaced the trailer theme with the enemy roundup theme at the ending of the game, it would've probably cause more hype.

Maybe people like the Tropical Wilds because it's their favorite stage in Pikmin 3. It's my favorite stage, but not so much the music.

The Pikmin title theme makes sense as a title theme, where nothing is happening, just press start. The "dog panting" is on point too. Most of the game is about combating dogs...grub dogs. Without some kind of context though, it only works as a title theme. One doesn't look at bulborb, bulbear, bublax and their ilk and think "dog", moreover the game trailers don't really focus on them too heavily anyway, just on general gameplay. An enemy showcase type trailer, where they hunt down, sniff out and ravenously devour cowering Pikmin would have been more effective.

You know #9 is bad when even the narrator sounds uninterested in reading the monologue.

I'm surprised that the Pikmin Adventure boss theme does make an appearance. It's just the Titan Dwivel theme but slightly different. The theme that was made just for the final boss of Pikmin 2 and I gotta say that when you hear the theme of the final boss in Pikmin 2 used in the first boss fight in the game it takes away all tension you previously got from the final boss.

I don't think that there are any bad Pikmin songs, but I do think that the main title theme is old.

Graphite gulch is one of the most powerful tracks in the series. It makes the metal stages fell so much more lonely and foreign. I think the closest thing to it in the series is the Forrest naval if you switch the music for something else it just would work. Although I can agree that the triangle part goes on for way to long but it's not as noticeable in gameplay in my experience.

Lol really? I found the tropical wilds theme to be the only song in the game that I liked, and was memorable. Everything else I... don't even remember how it sounds. But I always remember the part of tropical wilds when the steel drums come in

I noticed something about Pikmin 2, as you know Pikmin 2 starts out in the Valley of Repose. (Winter) Then you go to the Awaking Woods. (Spring) after that is the Perplexing Pool. (Summer) Finally, you go to the wistful wilds. (Fall) it's a big chain in seasons

I absolutely love the Pikmin title theme :( Funny thing, I loved it so much that I wanted to show it to my friends and bored them to death making them listen to the whole title theme menu

I love Pikmin 2's cave songs, especially Shower Room, White flower garden Sublevel 4, and Giant Breadbug.

Graphite Gulch is actually one of my favorite songs in all of pikmin, though the type that plays while collecting treasure is very annoying.

I'll be real I was totally expecting the Pikmin Remix on the Smash Blog for Ultimate to be Environmental Noises. We got something better. It qualifies as music.

I love Graphite Gulch! It makes me think of a forgotten, desolate space. A generation comes and a generation goes, but the Earth remains forever.

I like the Pikmin Main Theme on its own. I don't like it in-game or in Smash either, but I like it in Olimar's Smash Victory Theme and the Smash Ultimate remix.

The tropical wilds music has this one weird note in its main chord that turns it from a fun, wilds music, to a creepy tune, like you know some huge monster could be hiding anywhere

They should have put the PIKMIN 2 boss theme in the Super Smash Bros games, like WTF IT'S THE BEST BATTLE THEME OF THE SERIES

Environmental Noises is the best song in all of video game history. It easily puts One Winged Angel, Jump Up Super Star, and the Super Smash Bros. Brawl main theme to shame

Hard disagree on the main theme of Pikmin. I was 4 when it came out though, I'm so nostalgic I may be biased. But dang I LOVE the dog panting and the tribal calls and *especially* the jaw harp coming in!

I love the Pikmin 1 title music. It’s so nostalgic, too. They shouldn’t use that music for adversitement, though.

Thinking about it, the World Map from Pikmin 2 sounds kinda like that main theme of Pikmin. They both have the "Doooo do do doooo dooooooo" but Pikmin 2 added to it and made it sound better and more memorable.

10- I liked that track enough, but bring honest, I don’t remember any tracks from Pikmin 3 besides the ones in Smash, the credits, and the different boss battle themes 9- there was music at that part? 8- I never played that challenge mode, but.. it’s just the normal themes sped up a little, their still good themes 7- I strongly disagree with this one, I loved that track! It’s oddly beautiful and calming, even though the caves it was in are anything but 6- never played Hey Pikmin.. 5- it’s definitely not as good as the original, but something they do to it sounds so nice to me. And besides that, it’s the Pikmin 2 boss theme, no matter how it’s done it’ll sound good (I also got super happy when I heard it in game, which was one of the most memorable parts of Pikmin 3 for me. Not saying that as a good thing..) 4- I’ve always LOVED the main theme, it’s beautiful, and represents the atmosphere of Pikmin quite well (as well as it can without putting new people off) I agree that it’s a poor choice for the ad, and a poor choice for Olimar’s smash victory theme. His victory theme should have been the boss defeated theme from Pikmin 2, or, y’know, and of the other hundreds of victory themes from the games 3- I’ve always kinda liked that track.. it’s nothing special, but it’s a really nice song to have in the background 2- I love the melody of this song, but the voice really throws me and ruins it for me. It shouldn’t, and I don’t know why it does 1- you count this as a song? I always considered it filler, only useful when you don’t want music

You know the weirdest part about pikmin being marketed as cutesy is that its probably the third darkest nintendo franchise after metroid and maybe fire emblem i mean sure the bugs and pikmin are cite but you see thousands of them die during the game also pikmin 1 has a time limit for olimars air!

When Pikmin 3 came out I got roped into a flame war with people defending the Tropical Wild theme song. It's liberating to know someone else has a similar opinion to me on it.

The first time I saw Pikmin was in Brawl, a few months later I decided to get the Wii version of the Pikmin games because I was still curious about what the hell it's about, the impression left from Brawl I didn't have high hopes on them but I actually enjoyed Pikmin. It's amazing how Nintendo can either have the best marketing, or the worst. I'd imagine this is why they didn't release Earthbound until the WiiU port.
